Service~we were greeted Immediately with a huge smile from all the employees that were working. It was very impressive how he could tell by my stature what type of firearm was best for me. I didn't feel rushed and, before I made my selection he wanted me to handle every one that felt comfortable to me. Selection~I've owned a Glock 43 for years but, my husband said it was time for a new one after an unexpected situation happened to me on Tuesday. I chose a S&W Shield Plus 9mm 13 rounds clip, 6 Mags w/case. Value~I know for a fact when I am ready to get another firearm I know exactly where to go. This particular shop has been there for decades but, the new owners have been there for 12 years. I would highly recommend this gun store they make you feel like family. It's located in a strip mall and, it has plenty of parking. read more

My husband and I have bought several guns over the last few years at this store. Everyone is always really considerate and knowledgeable. No matter how busy they are. They do their best to get you in and out once you have made a purchase. Prices are competitive. Only store we go to. Would recommend! read more

Bad shop with rude and disrespectful employees that if you aren't one of the wealthy customers that hangout at the shop regularly you will be snubbed then treated like you are a burden to even talk to you. The employees are YouTube gun educated PUNKS ! Try to have any conversation with these PUNKS about advanced reloading or gun building they become clueless on the spot and then walkway from you. Ask anything about hunting in Alaska then these gun counter PUNKS will tell you any hunting in Alaska is done with 9mm and 10 mm handguns with no longer rifles are used that is how ignorant they are read more

I went in to Northwest Armory today looking to buy my first firearm and I have nothing but positive things to say!! Mitchel was so helpful and kind, he gave us all the info we asked for and then some! He even gave my fiancé and I his Bi-Mart card so we could use the bathroom while I waited for my background check to process. 10/10 recommend this store!! read more

The staff was very accommodating. Adrian helped me immensely; they are very professional and didn't make me feel like a newbie. Thank you, NW Armory. read more

NW Armory Tigard was my go to shop for a quarter century going back to 1998 when it was Gunbroker and owned by Royd. Steve has always been the face of that shop to me back then to today and has always been very helpful. I could always expect fair prices and good service. Now they just have good service and I find less of a reason to shop there these days. I mainly buy used guns and post covid they seem to have changed how they price their guns. Their used guns prices are near, equal to, and sometimes more than new gun prices at other shops including NW Armory Milwaukie who has different owners. Their gun prices remind me of Cabelas/Basspro now, it's that bad, which is too bad. Now I may go there to look but usually do my purchasing at NW Armory Milwaukie who still has good service AND Pricing, Oregon Rifleworks, Highline Guns in Newberg, or Online at Gunbroker where guns are often still less expensive even with shipping and a $35 FFL transfer fee. What a shame. read more

I've patronized this store a few times over the past many years. The location isn't especially handy for me but they do have quite a plentiful stock considering how small the store is. First class advice which they dispense in a friendly, helpful, non-condescending way. Most of their stock is high quality. Some is very high quality. If you're not taken with the big box stores this shop could be for you. It is 99% guns and ammunition. Stopped by again this weekend. Due to the scamdemic and the small size of the shop they are only letting 4 people inside at a time. Given that guns are selling like toilet paper due to the "social unrest" around here, you can expect to be in line outside for quite a while before you get inside to actually talk to someone. For information purposes, my background check queue number was almost 1,800... so expect to have to wait a few days to actually get your hands on any firearms you might purchase. This shop is probably my favorite little gun store although I purchase most of my consumables at the big box places. read more

I recently purchased a firearm at Northwest Armory in Tigard. The staff was very helpful and courteous and completed almost all of the paperwork for me. The prices of the firearms were also very competitive. read more

I'm a gun novice. I bought and paid for a gun at cabelas, but due to Oregon measure 114 they refunded my money without asking while waiting for my background check. What a difference buying a gun at northwest armory was. Pat greeted me at the door, asked me what I was looking for. Let me try several different handguns and made recommendations based on what I liked. They even recommended I hold off on purchasing accessories until I tried out my new gun. Thanks Pat! Thanks Northwest Armory! read more

I rate them at a (-5)...not even on the scale...I was appalled at the rude approach they spoke with me...the used guns they sell are not cleaned...barrels encrusted of what ever it had....rust, residue...ETC. I take the time to alert you to check the gun barrels if you decide to still go there...if you go there and see dirty guns...ask them why and see for yourself their Self Serving attitude and Poor Professionalism...its your Money, Your Choice...Buyer Beware read more

Northwest Armory - Techs know Quality when they see it! - Guns & Ammo Near Me - Tigard, Oregon

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE, Don't buy anything online, 1 month later no package, no answered phone calls or emails, good luck....btw, they sent the package to an Oregon address, it ended up at a post office and somebody else picked it up read more

Compared to a few years ago the staff has done a 180* and I was completely impressed with informative and considerate staff. Thanks Nathan read more

Not ever again. I've been in this store a total of 4 times and have purchased a gun 2 of the 4 times. I really wanted this to be my favorite store. although there are two females that seemed to have worked here quite a long time and are very unpleasant to work with. Their customer service is not only uninviting but plain out mean. The older one of the two ....well honestly, if I can't say anything nice then I wont at all, so I wont explain anymore on that. I find this to be extremely unfortunate as with the tides turning around toward gun ownership, these individuals should treat people with common perspectives just a tad better. On a side note, the prices are great and there is a gentleman by the name of Steve who works there and he is outstanding. Steve is very knowledgeable and treats everyone the same(I've noticed this every time I've been here). Steve is pleasant and I'd recommend asking for him if you shop at this location. read more

Went in yesterday for the first time and was highly unimpressed with our experience. If I could give it negative star ratings I would. Went in to buy some ammo and also browse at the guns. The 2 guys working there were highly uninterested in showing any guns or selling them. The used ones they had in the case were in poor condition from the looks and the guys kept pestering us to get our stuff and get out basically. They are only allowing 1 box of ammo "per family" every 7 days and they tell you this repeatedly while you are in the shop. Not to mention it was $30 for a box of 9mm nothing special practice rounds. Everything about the vibe and experience in this establishment was sub par and we will not be returning. I will support local businesses that treat their customers like they want and appreciate their business. I do not recommend this business. read more

When this was the Tigard gun Broker it was amazing. But last week when I went in the guy behind the counter huffed and puffed and rolled his eyes at me any time I asked him a question. Like he didn't want me to be there, and like he didn't want to be there. I'm still waiting for my background check to finish up, which isn't their fault I'm just not sure what the deal is with the attitude. I only bought there because it's the only location that has what I was looking for. read more

Not sure what's with the whiny-nancy reviews, I certainly can not endorse such notions ... So I ordered and prepaid a nice little Ruger pistol online and on sale for plinking. Had it set to deliver to this location, only took a few days. Business offers easy parking in a huge open shared lot, disabled friendly spots right in front. Came in after a phone call letting me know my order had arrived, place was busy for a Wednesday afternoon, Oregonians love their guns! Was attended to immediately and my special order was pulled from the back. There were three employees on hand and all were friendly, polite and professional. Completed all the necessary paperwork, got a few other items and checked out. Good selection and great pricing on sale items. Easy enough, no complaints, I'd certainly go back if I'm feeling like I need to expand on my second amendment. read more

They are easy to order from but do not communicate. As other reviews state they don't answer their phone, their voicemail is full and they don't respond to support tickets or email. Since I pre ordered an item I'm curious as to whether or not I'll get it. While it's easier to place a deposit it is not easy to cancel an order and have that deposit refunded. read more

This facility is leaps and bounds ahead of their Portland store in friendliness, customer service, blah blah blah. However, a guy that is usually at the Portland store has been here and is just a horrible person to deal with. He just completely ignores any questions that that you may have and when he does respond, he's an a hole about it. I'm not sure if he is one of the owners or not, but he sure acts like he would prefer that I wasn't there. Sadly, this one individual killed any of my business to them. read more

Finally decided to pull the trigger and purchase an AR-15. Even with the COVID protocols they got me in pretty fast. They have a very large selection of guns to choose from. The gentleman I worked with couldn't of been friendlier and very patient with the questions I had. Ended up purchasing the gun I wanted, background check was a breeze, picked up some extra magazines and some ammo. Will be back soon for more ammo and other accessories for the gun. read more

Saw a handgun that had been out of stock listed so shot them an email to confirm. 70 minutes later Karl D. responded with confirmation. Ordered it and 6 days later its at my FFL Dealer. This was over a weekend & Presidents day. I would buy from them again in a NY second. Highly Recommend! read more

FANTASTIC service at NW Armory. They are all so helpful and knowledgeable. Carrie helped me out immensely and I would 100% recommend this place if you are looking to buy a new firearm. Will definitely be back! read more

Ammo is now 2x list for no reason other than price gouging. Bi-Mart and Sportsman have little to no ammo, but selling for same price as last year. Come on man! Also moral of Tigard Store employees very poor. Not a fun experience anymore. read more

We just went in and asked about shipping our firearms to alaska from oregon. Although they don't ship firearms, the woman behind the counter offered the advice that 'most people just break down the firearms and put them in the front of the truck'. She essentially just told us we might consider smuggling firearms through canada customs and then back into the US. I believe that is called international gun smuggling. We will find a shipper, but I am blown away by this interaction. Worst. Advice. Ever. read more

First time in store. Hear adds on radio all the time. The shop was clean and they had a lot of inventory. Pricing seemed ok. The reason for lower review is the double the price for firearm transfer fee. Why gouge for this? Lost out on magazine sale and ammo sale. I probably won't be back, Definitely won't do another transfer here. Oregon rifleworks right down street. They have great customer service. read more

I have had nothing but great experiences here every time I walk in I am greeted and get great service. Everyone is happy and having a good time. I see bad reviews on here but it's just not the experience I have had and I have bought multiple firearms from this location and have sold a firearm here before so for me this place is great. They also have a lot of options with already custom sights and what not so this place really does have some great options for sure. read more

Been looking online at Glocks for months. Stopped into this store yesterday to check out a few models. Despite the fact they were really busy, Steve came over to assist me right away. He took the time to show me several styles, and answered all my questions. Once I decided on a purchase, he walked me through the paperwork, and I was out the door 10 minutes later, including the background check. Great service, I'll be back. read more

Super great service at this location. Pat is engaging, helpful, and knowledgable. It's smaller than the Eastside location, but there's usually fewer customers (but it might feel more crowded!) and the sales experience has been much more consistent at this location. I've never made a large purchase at this location, but I look forward to doing business with them in the future. read more

My go to gun store! Often have giveaways and email sales alerts. Good prices and selection along with a super friendly and helpful staff. New and used guns for sale and often have great prices on ammo. Thanks! read more

Purchased a firearm online and received the confirmation email. The email only said "thanks for your order." It didn't include next steps. So I went into the store the next day when they were open. I hadn't received the phone saying my firearm was ready, but they did have it ready for me. The background was fast and simple. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. They're only allowing 4 ppl in at a time right now. The shop is small, but doesn't feel cramped due to limited capacity. I would shop here again. read more

Customer service isn't great. My boyfriend purchased a SIG 320 and they gave him a SIG 365. He didn't notice until he got home so he called them and they said they don't except returns or exchanges. I went to purchase a fire arm 2 weeks later and stood in line for almost 2 hours before being let into the store. The 2 hour wait was understandable due to Covic restrictions. They called 3 days later and said I could pick up the fire arm and that they would be letting customers in quickly for pick up. I waited in line for an hour while they kept letting in customers who were there to purchase. I called a few times while in line but no one answered. When I finally got in the store, they said they werent answering phones. I had my eye on another gun there but I will go else where to shop. read more

These guys are awesome ! Best customer service ever. They get community and make the PNW Proud !! Shop here peeps, you won't be disappointed. Good Quality Company !! read more

I want to start off by saying I'm a long time custumer and have spent thousands of dollars with this shop. I saw they had a gun in their case I liked I have a few guns that I don't want anymore so I went into the shop to see what they would give me on trade in and I'm not asking for full retail price but when you have the same gun on your shelf and you tell me "I'm giving you 70% of retail" and my firearm has nite sites and after market extended mag plus a very nice holster rig for it and an you offer me the same price as you would give another customer with a standard model of the same gun and not even factor in the night sites and ext mag and holster plus another gun that's just as nice. You didn't even speak or present good customer service and just wrote down on a post it note and say "here is what I'll give you." Then you're an ass about it I know how much you're in to your gun and low ball me on mine if I would have taken your offer and bought your gun you would have made over $390 profit on me over the price of your gun. In short I would have given you no stars if I could this being said I will never shop, buy, or recommend this shop ever again! read more

I don't know what these other reviews are talking about. I received a very prompt reply to my questions and am satisfied with the service Nw Armory has provided me. Will recommend to others. read more

In this store are good people who actually care! Speaking about NW Armory in general, they have prices that compete with even the biggest internet sellers like Brownells, Midway, Etc. My go to gun store for most anything. 4 out of 5 stars because the website is very disorganized and the FFL transfer fee is quite expensive (BUT they have/can get just about any firearm you'd like at the same price as wherever you were gonna order it anyways). Thanks for reading. read more

Great selection of firearms, but certain people who are work there can be either very helpful. Or dismissive? Both locations usually have a contest or special deal going on, so that is always a plus. The Tigard store did not have the kind of holster I was looking for, but sent me to where custom made holsters are in the area. Win win situation for both ended up with a Kimber. read more

This was the most run around BS I ever been thru for a online order. So with that being said trust DON'T ORDER from NORTHWEST ARMORY. For example they take payment faster than a heart beat. With little to no information and with no one to contact, yes right now they can blame everything on a virus.. but it's not Covid19 they have a virus with customer service and this is why you shouldn't order from them. Sent first support ticket 3-4 day because I had no information. So it say will respond in 24 hours but yea it's hard times with this virus so I gave em 48 hours in between that time I call the online number get really funny Portland have a cell phone with no voicemail set up, call the web sale number voicemail is full, so I call Tigard store only one to pick up phone. And they was all fairly nice so thank you for trying to save this company but anyways took 4 days to get a email saying it's my fault it's not sent because I didn't send over my FFL, wait my fault even tho the invoice have everything for my dealer but they won't reach out to your dealer it's your responsibility haha but look my local gun shop the best so I call them. Like I thought no problem while I'm on the phone my shop send FFL right then and there. So I wait a day, nothing so next day call my favorite store in Tigard and he say yea man just need your FFL n they will send it I tell him it was sent 2 days ago he just say OH... so I was given this number (503) 789-9991 she is very nice but she work in like headquarters so she don't want to talk to customers but she did so thank you. She finally get me my tracking number so I'm happy and give up on calling and emailing but this company so messed up they only made a shipping label so I could stop calling and emailing so after getting that tracking number took them another 5 days just to give it to the USPS. Very sad took my money right off my card when I hit place order so they lock you in early so you can't cancel because it's a 15% fee to cancel so it's deal with them or lose money and time. So with all that being said please do your research and NEVER ORDER FROM NORTHWEST ARMORY!!! It's a reason they have so much .223 Ammo because no one want to deal with the VERY BAD customer service. Everyone have a great day and this is my first bad review and I tried not to be emotional but I want to help anyone stay away from NORTHWEST ARMORY!!! Total of 16 days just to get a tracking number and 3 days shipping so 19 days after money was took off card! read more

Nice store, all the employees were friendly and didn't mind I had a lot of questions. I held many different pistols and got a lot of good input and information. Very cool shop, will definitely recommend to everyone! read more

I don't understand people, they don't like an offer and they complain because the store is going to make too much money. Well that is the business they are in. They have the best prices in town and are very helpful. It is sad that people complain because they don't get their way and think way to highly of what their gun is worth. If you don't like the offer stop pouting and go to another store and get a better offer or sell it yourself. But complaining on line just makes you a complainer. read more
