This Costco requires some patience. The parking lot is crazy. The gas station is crazy. The food court is crazy. Even check out can be crazy. I'm not sure if the parking lot here is smaller than others or if theres simply more people that shop at this location but it's ALWAYS backed up and crowded. More so than most other locations. The gas station will ALWAYS have a line up so be aware and be patient. Same with check out in store, be prepared to stand in line, even a short line, and be patient. People are shopping with double sized carts, in bulk, and at least half of those people are doing it all with kids in tow. Just calm down or choose to shop somewhere less stressful. The food court here is also a back up with limited seating, but can any of us really complain when we're getting a delicious hot dog, with a soda, for $1.50?! Just give me my hot dog, soda, bulk trays of blueberry muffins, move along and be happy. read more

Very large Costco parking lot here. Scan your Costco card to enter here. Very busy today, which is the day before Thanksgiving! Christmas items and gifts in full swing here. Pretty organized and somewhat clean considering the crowds here today. Found a nice pair of warm sweat pants lol. Yes, it's pretty darn cold in Portland, OR which is at 32 degrees now, compared to home, which is currently at 72 degrees. Prices are great and of course, no tax! My boyfriend and I shop here in a consistent basis. There are getting a little bit better about having healthier organic choices but there's still so much unhealthy stuff. I would buy more of the produce but I can't eat the quantity they sell unfortunately. We but main household things there: tp, water, almond milk, peanut butter, berries, etc. they have great olives there on occasion too. I like looking around there even though it often is a madhouse. Handicap parking is very limited I find myself spending 10 minutes driving around trying to find an empty parking space. I just experienced an event that was extremely frustrating. My primary sent a prescription order in to be started 3 days prior to what Costco denied filling until the following month. The outcome of not filling it as the doctored ordered which meant I could not function. Costco was indifferent and continued to deny filling the prescription sighting compliance with state laws...Sorry a doctor's order has precedence. If Costco needed clarification from the Doctor's order I would think they could have called doctor's office, but no....Costco is not known for service....wait in long lines to pick-up meds and if they have an order and one drives the distance to pick it up because you need it that day be prepared to wait 2-3 hours. read more

I was today years old when I realized there was a Costco on SE 84th! In my defense, I typically go to the one in Tigard because it's smaller and easier to navigate, plus I live in the west side. But today after a marathon of appointments around SE 82nd, I wanted to pick up a roasted chicken for dinner. Plus, Rao's marinara sauce was on sale, two 28oz jars for $8.99, usually 12.99. I did a search and there it was, right in SE 84th behind Clackamas Square, hiding in plain sight! On my way to get the chicken, I picked up a beautiful, modern pot shaped like a half moon. It came in black or white and inside are two bromeliads, I chose the yellow bromeliads in a black planter. Three years ago I bought the white version annd absolutely love it. Every Single time I go to Costco, I walk past the plants hoping they will have it again. Today was the day. This is your typical Costco, all the norms plus a Costco gas in the parking lot. The one thing I did notice as unique, is their food court area has an inside and an outside seating. The outside seating is under a roof with open sides. If you are going to eat at Costco, then the outdoor patio is the way to go. Glad I found this location, and since I am frequently out this way, I know I can always make a quick Costco run. read more

It has been a time since I shopped at this Costco. My word... Most Costco parking lots are a mess but this was exceptionally so. Because their food service has the whole front of the store, people and their carts take up the sidewalk space and cars try to navigate around. There are no available parking spots for ADA so I got to walk across the already pretty dangerous parking lot where people drive hyper aggressive and angry they cannot find parking or going crazy to try to get into a parking spot. Many of the items listed for online ordering are not actually available in the store. I am mobility challenged but I do appreciate getting some steps in...however.... Several different employees sent me on ridiculously incorrect walks to items which were right where I was at that I found on my own. I got used to other stores where the people stocking things new the locations of other items and if they did not they would find out. read more

My Russian wife was in awe the first time I took her to a Costco and now her friends and family members love Costco after also being introduced by her? Great bargains when one can buy in bulk? Do yourself a favor folks and don't buy tires at Costco!!! Even if they are a little less expensive elsewhere don't fall into the trap. I'm out 7 hours between 3 different appointments for tire balancing. Yes, tire balance. Seems silly to even have to say for a tire shop because this is about as basic as it gets. They can't figure out how to install wheel weights in such a way that they won't run on and interfere with brake calipers. Possible damage to my breaks as a result of metal weights rubbing on my calipers and thin metal clips every time the tire rotates. After the 3rd time to have them fixed (which also failed) I forced to go to a competitor to fix their balancing errors. The "supervisor" Rick offered me a $100 Costco gift card as if that was generous compensation for 7 hours of lost time, and gas for multiple trips. Now I have to take my truck to Toyota for brake inspection and possible repairs. Costco washes their hands on the matter and turns it into an insurance claim. We all know how well insurance companies work for claims. I'm super bummed because until these experiences Costco was my favorite store. Not any more. Who knows when or if I would even be compensated by insurance. CostNO!!! No more Costco Oh, forgot to mention your tire warranty is voided if you cancel your membership so they hold that over you to keep you from cancelling. Super shady business practice. Rick was far from helpful and not concerned at all with the quality of work performed on multiple occasions. read more

On 9/3/25 @ 6:54pm, my husband stopped in for ice cream & a slice of pizza from the deli at the Clacmamas, Oregon store. He purchased me a strawberry sundae. Kevin, the young guy who served him, put a less than half full cup of sloppy ice cream & strawberries on the counter with his melted chocolate ice cream they had gotten ready earlier while it sat there, melted & then called his #. My husband asked, "What's this?" He completely ignored him. He then said, "This is only a half cup, I didn't pay half price!" Kevin responded with, "Sorry Man. We're low on ice cream right now."...as they were filling the machine. He just ignored him. My husband said all the previous strawberry sundaes looked normal. Have had Costco 30+ years & never had this poor or customer service before. I hope this isn't a sign of what's to come. read more

You have seen it, the associates will help immediately if you are looking for something and can't find the aisle. And best of all, we have diverse employees who understand diverse shoppers. What not to like about this Costco location. It seems more laid back then the Tigard location. Today was not so busy...I went looking for some potential Valentines goodies and found a few even though it's close to a month away. Got to grab them before they are gone! Seems like anything that is great is sold out before the holiday. They had some Godiva chocolate hearts, Lindt Lindor matcha truffles and some strawberry and yogurt pretzels. Yum! I have a pretzel weakness. Happy I found some items. I love Costco it is ever changing and they have great customer service. read more

If you have not been to the Clackamas Costco lately, they have stepped up their check-out system. There are associates in the check-out lines with an iPad and they can scan your items (Yes, even a huge cart full) and send the results to the cashier. Then they tape a receipt of some sort on your cart to insure the cashier is ringing up the correct cart. Then you pay and GO! Everything stays in your cart so grab a box on your way out if you need it. It's FABULOUS! Of course, parking is still a challenge, it's even getting hard to get a handicap spot. Just don't go at peak times, right?! read more

Although this Costco does get pretty busy, I want to give a shout-out to 2 staff members at the self-checkout - Dawn & Jon - they're always quick and efficient (offering to scan your products) - they make the checkout process go much faster than me scanning my own. The only things that could be better - a couple of times, I found opened boxes (some people are shameful) and one time a man was wearing an unpurchased shirt with tags, etc. (and he wasn't clean to say the least). read more

In regards to the tire center I rate them 5 STARS. My car was ready 1 hour 15 minutes after drop off. The check in process was simple as was the whole experience. We usually use Discount Tire but saved $80 using Costco for the same tires. In regards to the store itself I give it a 3.5. The store is not always as clean as you would like a grocery store to be. We've purchased multiple items in the last year that were spoiled or moldy. We actually have stopped buying the kirkland bacon 4 packs due to multiple spoiled packages over the last 6 months. Moldy produce as well. We enjoy the rotisserie chicken but we won't eat it anymore after watching a customer walk up and return the chicken they had to the warmer and grab another. Overheard them telling the person they were with they wanted a fresh one because this one sat in their cart to long. The employees working behind the counter didn't pull that chicken out of the display case and they watched the same thing I did. Who knows if that customer did something to that chicken... There needs to be better oversight with stuff like that. read more

I came all the way here for fieldroast because my NE Costco didn't have any and I found exactly what I was looking for! I also found these great hiking shirts on sale and these greens are essential in my house. There was so many great deals and lot of cozy clothes and delicious snacks so I'm proud of myself for only getting three things. Gas is the cheapest here too! The absolute slowest uncaring Pharmacy staff works here now! After getting a text an hour earlier saying my prescrition was ready, It took the Pharmacy team over an hour to find my prescription buried in totes behind them and then I asked if they could bill my insurance and you would have thought I asked them for the moon!! I complained to the Pharmacist and got the universal "We are just short staffed and busy" As another gentleman and I waited and waited the Pharmacy staff had enough spare time to bring in a birthday cake, Have their pictures taken with said cake, Walk the cake around in back and show everyone and then stand around and talk about the cake. They are not to busy, They are not understaffed they just have a poor work ethic and would probably not make it in any other service industry. So in a nutshell you don't just swing buy to pick up a prescription from Clackamas Costco, You best pack a lunch and bring a birthday balloon "in my case bring your crutches also" and make it an outing because you are gonna be there a long while. read more

Sadly good customer service is harder and harder to come by, but does still exists! I wanted my mom in to get her hearing tested, so we made an appointment at the Costco hearing center in Clackamas. I dropped my mom off while I parked and unfortunately she got mixed up as to where she was supposed to go and after parking the car I found her waiting at the pharmacy. Once getting her to the correct place the person who checked us in acknowledged our being late, but gave no attitude. The specialist my mom saw for the test was Ashley, she was friendly, patient , informative and did not pressure us to walk out with an order, but instead gave us all the information we needed to make a decision. We went back the next day and did place an order. We are thankful for Ashley's time, patience and care in her job. read more
