Value- it's a $1.25 I mean you can't get much cheaper than that. Bathrooms- I don't recommend using. One bathroom has a missing toilet seat. It's not cleaned or kept up unfortunately.

My education about wine came through my grandfather who made homemade plum wine that came from the bush outside his home. And my exposure to wine in NC is via the Muscadine... a thick skinned grape that grows in the South. It's a seeded varietal that gets its balance from the tallins in the skin. Shout out to Duplin Christmas Wine: they have a lot of offerings superior to that Barefoot garbage that seems to be ubiquitous. Anyhow, I like to drink a big glass of red at Christmas and Easter. And I am not a snob about boxed wine. I have been known to drink a glass or Box of Franzia blush Zin myself :) I was looking for Reunite Lambrusco, which was not available :(. This place has some cider selection that is pretty Epic... this 19 Acres cider is amazing. And New Seasons is the only place I see it. Along with blanc du blanc from Italy. You aren't going to find the familiar here ... but if you're into exploring... this is your spot :)

For local ingredients the Farmers Market is the best source but be expected to pay 3x what they're worth (trust me I know I used to sell my goods at Farmers Markets). This C&C is clean and well stocked. They have an enormous variety and great weekly specials. I enjoy receiving coupons in the mail and finding new products when I visit weekly sometimes twice a week. You get to know the high volume times as well as the low volume times. Honestly, there are days and times when you have the entire store to yourself or you're stuck in line way back behind all the folks who thinks this is CostCo. Drives me nuts. I loved this store even more back when you had to prove you had a small business and it was exclusive but those days have long since passed and for some strange reason keeps the conversation with the employees humorous. Every time I've picked up the wrong thing - wrong yeast - wrong cheese - whatever, they are totally cool with bringing it back and exchanging it. No questions asked which is more than I can say for most food stores. And plus they will actually start carrying an item if you request it which also a huge bonus (my beloved Shepherd's Grain Flour I could only find at Puratos in BFE). So if you need excellent customer service, a huge selection and don't mind the folks who go there to buy one single carton of eggs to hold up the line you are in for a treat. I know I am - I'll be heading over in about a half hour to get my weekly goods.

Of all the Adorn boutiques in Portland, this may be my favorite location. This store has a lot of…read moreitems but it's not packed so tightly which enables one to walk around with ease and easily see the merchandise. There is lots of really stylish clothing across a spectrum of prices, so something for everyone's budget. They have a large assortment of jeans, a few pairs of shoes and handbags, scarves, sweaters, dresses, blouses, t-shirts and jumpsuits- they have it all. This visit, the back wall was adorned with several jean jackets, many with fun embellishments, making an Instagram worthy backdrop. Personally, I love the jewelry. Pieces from local artists, national designers, and inexpensive fashion jewelry as well. This visit they had an assortment of "bumblebee" pins that were vintage looking and so fun! There is always a pair of earrings, a necklace, or bracelet that I have to have. On my recent visit, it was a turquoise hair clip that could not be passed up. Staff is always friendly and helpful. They were a bit suspicious as I was taking lots of pics, but in the end realized I was just there to enjoy my shopping experience.
