When a friend was welcoming her first grand a bay, I knew exactly where to purchase a gift. The designs are practical and durable while also being fashionable. Move over denim overalls and say hello to clothing in various earth colors - muted browns and sage green - with touches of sunrise mixed in. Hoodies, leggings, khakis, shorts with pockets, warm jackets and hats, long and short tee shirts emblazon with cute wilderness sayings - so many choices! And just like adult stores, there is an assortment of gear. Backpacks, blankets, sippy cups, plastic dishes and flat wear. So many cute items! Even though tractors and farm & vineyard equipment. Every holiday brings seasonal apparel that is just as precious. Right now there are lots of lucky clovers adorning onesies and sweatshirts with St. Patrick's Day approaching. Whoever sources and curates their clothing really does a fantastic job! The clothing here is not cookie cutter, and that's a good thing! A boutique with affordable clothing. As we perused, her convo became increasingly more apparent that it was a personal call and not work related. She was booking and adding additional treatments to her HAIR APPOINTMENT!! No "give me a minute and I will assist you", "if you need any help with anything just let me know!", or even a "Hi! Welcome to Le D Bug!"... second strike. She just continued to look annoyed and oblivious to the customers wandering the store in general (we were the only ones present outside of herself). This was the last strike. It was uncomfortable so we ultimately left. She once again made no move to say "bye", "thank you", "eff you", literally NOTHING. They have a decent amount of nontoxic options, a mix of cute and cheesy clothing. Leans more towards girls than boys but that's merely based on my 5 mins inside. This shop is located in Bridgeport Village Shopping Center, an open air mall in Tualatin, and though there's not parking right in front of it there's plenty of parking kind of around the corner. They have some truly lovely stuff here. There was one brand called Viverano that caught my eye almost as soon as we walked in and I'm not sure if I should be glad or not that my daughter has gotten close enough to aging out of their size range (their biggest size is 18-24) because their cardigans on display here were gorgeous. And adorable!! They carry children's clothes in a higher range of sizes than some kid's stores, I think. In addition to clothes there are some toys and kid-related things like plates, books, and so on. I found a great dress for my kiddo and I can't wait to see her in it; although it says it's a 2T, and she's in the 95th percentile or higher for height and weight, this is super big on her so I'll try it again when she's closer to two. They had some really cute spring dresses when we were here but I restrained myself. The staff here was really welcoming and friendly, and sweet with their little clients. I was really pleased with my experience here. In checking out their website, I see that they specifically mention that if you purchase online they are happy to run your purchases out to your car so that you don't have to find a spot and lug in your littles. That is so helpful and if I was living in Oregon right now that would be a big attraction to me. As it is, I will be following them on social media and keeping an eye on their sales.

I didn't look at every piece of clothing here but what I purchased was all from brands I haven't heard of before, and really lovely stuff, so in addition to adding the shop on Instagram I'll have to check out the brands too. The woman helping me was very friendly, happy to help but to give me space. I bought a top for my babe and when I was looking at it she mentioned she had a navy colorway, which wasn't out on the floor but she went to get it for me to take a look at and I MUCH preferred it to the green one I had seen and was considering. I can't wait to see her in it! It's not a cheap shop, particularly if you're looking for clothing. But they had a sale going on when I was here and the two racks were packed with stuff. And the toys are generally not as high priced as the clothing if you're looking for a gift or something. If you're on a tour of children's stores in Portland, add this one to your list.

When we asked about a really cool kitchen set behind the counter (that was listed online), she stayed on the phone with her friend and was clearly inconvenienced with our question. It wasn't until we came up for checkout that she told her friend that "sorry I'll be right back, it's really busy" when we were the only ones in the store. As she was ringing us up, my wife found some pretty bows and asked if she could get them as well after she'd already told us the price for the two small toys we initially came up with. We got charged 12 dollars for the 4 of them. She was back on the phone before we could even get to the door, last words we heard was "and she unadded me on Snapchat".
