They wont allow you to 'fix' while in line, you have to go stand in a long line with one overworked customer svc person, and its a major hassle, especially if you're popsicles are thawing. I am an astute shopper - I'm expert on using their app, clipping their coupons, reading the ads before I shop, etc., and to boot I worked grocery early in my long career. These were genuine errors. We've had to endure a near year-long revamp of the store, its nearly finished, and I've yet to to see ANYWHERE any improvement in the experience. Its mind boggling how much money they spent to achieve NOTHING. When I was a checker, they came out with the most efficient way to process items; customer puts product on belt, the employee scans it and puts it right in the shopping bag. Boom, handled once! Super efficient! A few years ago some idiot with no clue how checkstands operate came up with the bright idea of having the checker scan it, put it on another belt, where another employee bags it. Handled TWICE. And this store NEVER has 1:1 checker/bagger. Today there were FIVE checkers, and ONE bagger. Fred Meyer continues its increasing abuse of plastic. Too many instances to write here.

I came back another time and asked my partner to ask for thinly sliced cheese and she gave him the same attitude and actually told him "I'm not cutting it thinner then this" again very thickly cut cheese... I understand if she isnt comfortable cutting it thinner but she could've called for help or just not been rude about it lol. Another issue, nobody answers the phones. Also during christmas, I got online pick up for a mickey mouse christmas train set. They sold out, so I placed the same order online for shipping. It delayed and delayed and delayed until it finally canceled. Why? Because they changed their price from $10 to freaking $65 and wanted me to pay the higher price. I called and went in circles with people for hours. The train wouldn't come in time for christmas anymore which made me sad, but at that point I just wanted them to ship me the product for the price I BOUGHT IT FOR INSTEAD OF WHAT THEY WERE TRYING TO UPCHARGE ME. they wouldn't. Place is a freaking scam. Also there's constantly workers stocking the shelves mid day and taking up whole isles and acting annoyed at customers for being in the way. This place sucks.

After looking around (there is also a counter that you can order made to order sandwiches and burritos), I ended up deciding to purchase the following: Peanut Chicken Sesame Noodle Salad, $8.99- This was quite a massive portion so I only ended up eating about 1/3 of it and then had the rest over the next few days (I ended up mixing it with some chopped cucumbers and tomatoes that I had to make a large salad). I loved the peanut sesame dressing and noodles in this salad but wished there was more chicken. Mayak Egg Noodle Bowl, $8.99- My husband picked this salad for himself but I didn't have any. He thought it was good and appreciated something fresh, as his bowl had shredded cabbage, like my salad, and cucumbers and shredded carrots. Pumpkin Pie, $6.99- My husband saw this small pumpkin pie and decided to get it because he is such a big fan of it. I actually don't like pumpkin as much as when I was much younger. But I did like this pie and thought the flavors were well balanced, not too overly sweet. ---------------------------------------- (Total= $24.97) I really appreciated that the little dining area (there is also an outdoor dining area as well but because it had rained previously, we opted to sit inside) had plastic bowls and plates available for you to put your food in. This was helpful for me to be able to thoroughly mix my noodle salad since the dressing was mostly on the bottom. Then after I mixed it, I just put it back in the plastic container and only left about 1/3 of the salad in my bowl to eat. If I lived in this area, I would definitely be a regularly of this market (specifically for the prepared food area).
