I visited the Grocery Outlet in Seaside, OR today (store 0401). My total cost was $62. Included in my order was a six pack of beer. The beer rang up at $14.99 while the price on the shelf was $11.99. Even after the checker, who was Michaela #0431, walked over to look at the shelf, she informed me that she could not adjust the price of alcohol. While she agreed that the price was clearly marked at $11.99 there was nothing she could do. After several minutes, and another employee verifying the price, she said I could talk to "Tom". I asked who this was and where he was and was told he is the owner and he is not here today. While I realize that the $150 - $200 that I spend in this store each month will not affect their gross sales, I will not be spending any money in this store going forward. Donalda Avalon read more

I love this place and come here often but the cashiers need to get it together some days. Like they don't pay attention and bs with customers for too long and aren't paying attention to their jobs. And then they take it out on the customers when they make a mistake. Like do your job please. It isn't social hour... people have things to do. Today a lady scanned my husbands two item order but added it onto another persons bill.... They were done and talking for quite a while before he put his order down. He was paying already , so he thought... but then she went and just scanned his order onto that guys then took it out on my husband because she wasn't paying attention... You shouldn't need to put a divider up when the belt is literally empty and the customer before you has their card in the machine already... she just wasnt paying attention on her end and scanned his order and added it onto the other guys.... His stuff was already bagged when we came up .... She was BSing too long with the customer. Then made my husband feel like he did something wrong when it's her who did. The manager should have told her to get her ish together man. Then she was BSing with the customer AFTER him when he was at the front and waiting for her to fix her mistake. As like a f u to him for embarrassing her or something ? For her own mistake??? Like wow ...how rude and unprofessional . Hire better please! Seaside grocery outlet is so progressive. You no longer need a room to privately relieve yourself as a paying customer. My young children look forward to coming here on every beach trip and taking a stop outside to pee on the building. If they don't have a bathroom, get creative. No bathroom, no problem. read more

I really like Grocery Outlet generally, but no backpack policy at Seaside, OR store is kinda ridiculous. I guess nobody walks from the hotels and guest houses, as I did with a daypack to carry my purchases. But I was told NO BACKPACKS by an employee. So not buying anything. Been going to this grocery outlet for four years, I live next-door, but I walk and for heavy things I bring my wagon, for four years no one has ever told me not to bring it until today. Went shopping today saw Nathan's mini corn dogs, no price but sounded good. Cooked some and went to throw away the box and saw they expired a month ago. Called the store, talked to a so called manager. Reply was "yikes" no apology and said bring back for a refund. Absolute worst customer service at that store. Will get my credit but will not return. Jenny the manager and Chris an associate will harass you if you take your service dog into the store. I answered all of their questions and then they said if I was going to have a medical emergency, I could leave the store. I immediately filed a complaint with the ADA. No customer restrooms. They don't care either. We left a cart full of groceries to go to Safeway and didn't return. Probably never will.

We love the Grocery Outlet at home so we were happy to find one in Seaside. Loaded up the cart and our grandson had to potty. Couldn't find their bathroom so asked in a panic before he might have an accident. They refused to let him use their bathroom and were told it was employee only. C'mon guys have a heart for little ones. Also the store was WAY overly decorated. Definitely won't be back to this location. read more

I shopped at the Grocery Outlet a couple of days after they first opened. I only needed a couple of things and didn't have time to really look around. The vegetable produce section appeared to be very limited. Two days ago I went back after my son mentioned how great the prices and selection was. I went all through the store and by the the time I finished shopping I had a full cart with lots of fresh veggies, dairy, canned and frozen goods ect. My favorite shampoo was half the price that I'd paid at Safeway a few days earlier. I was really surprised at the low cost and good quality when I finally finished checking out. The staff was very helpful when I asked questions and the lady at the check out was very efficient and friendly. This market is definitely going to be my favorite place to buy groceries from now on. read more

Always have what I need, price is low and customer service is excellent, greeted when I enter and someone is always asking if I need help.

My first time in the store, I was impressed with the wine selection. But I was dismayed by the number of people shopping in there who were not wearing masks, and there didn't seem to be anybody employed there who was making any effort to tell them to leave the store, or to put a mask on. There is a new variant raging, and I am a vulnerable older person. Not sure I'll be going back. Also, the manager was very rude to the checkout woman! read more

( 11/24/20 and updated 1/23/21) Yesterday, November 24th, 2020 was the first time I had a chance to go to this store in Seaside Oregon. I am someone you in her '70s who cannot drive and taking the bus to and from would have been daunting, including the fact that it means crossing highway 101, and waiting for a bus going back home: I am not a daredevil! But by now my best friend and I--she drives--will always shop at the co-op. It is incredibly well-stocked, and the resulting bill has been incredibly low compared to regular grocery stores. While there are still some brand items I shall still buy elsewhere, this will be the first stop when I go grocery shopping once a month with my friend. And the frosting on the cake for me personally was the excellent service I received. Michelle for one went well out of her way to help us and the young man who was around the wine section--I shall add his name when I get it (update January 21: He helped me again and his name is Jason)--directed me to a great bargain Australian Pinot Gris, The Little Penguin: Because I was raised in the Beaujolais area will never make me a wine expert or a snob! So I am thankful both to my friend to help me discover the store and to its workers... You shall see this pint-size old lady again! I drove up to Seaside from Nehalem and visited the Grocery Outlet there. I'm already a big fan of GO from their Washington, California and other parts of Oregon. This store did not disappoint! It's not a one-stop shop kind of place but what they have is awesome. Large selection of health food items, such as quinoa, matcha powder, mushroom powder, almond butter, peanut butter, tahine, organic foods, lots of types of chocolate, great prices on canned food, beans, rice and decent produce. I can't imagine why everyone wouldn't make this a regular stop before going to the local national chain! The people who work at GO are helpful and nice, the store is well-organized and you always feel at home because all the GOs, even though they are privately owned, are all organized similarly so you know where to go to find that bottle of Martinelli's cider you were looking for, or where to browse the wine selection. read more
