They have quite a bit of Christmas stuff in the back part of the store year round. The rest of the store has a wide variety home decor that you don't find at most other stores so most of it is unique. Biggest negative is that we have seen some of it else wear and they have consistently been more expensive. read more

Tipton's, a year round Christmas shop is a very special place. You can find ornaments,  candles, lights, table settings, chocolates, anything and everything you need for Christmas.  This store will get you into the Holiday spirit. They're located next to the Twisted Fish restaurant on Broadway. Picked up a couple ornaments and a Christmas topper. I love their selection of hand soaps and candles.  Staff was very friendly and helped us find the candle scent we liked. Definitely worth a stop in Seaside. read more

Always a joy to shop in Tipton's! As you walk through the charming double split door, the warm smell of rich candle fragrance fills the air drawing you through and into the back, or, "Hall of Christmas", as we like to call it! The lady who helped us was such a dear and so very knowledgeable! The shop is, at this time of year, packed full of holiday cheer! All the old favorites as well as new surprises are on display! A feast of Christmas for the eyes! 100's of glass Christmas ornaments to choose from, garlands, snowmen, lights, linens, lace, lotion, soaps, candles....and more! The chocolate case filled with 1/2 lb bags of their regular treats' assortment. We witnessed several families who children were picking out their yearly ornaments, such a nice tradition! Just happened in this shop- saw Christmas stuff and was enticed by the half door. So glad we went in. They have THE BEST candles. I just know they have to get tired of people smelling them saying "oh my God, it really does smell like....." - but you smell them and can't help yourself! If you get to Seaside you absolutely need to stop in at Tipton's. This is a special home decor, gift and chocolate shop. They stock many unique seasonal and holiday items and scents that you just don't see anywhere else. This is a family business owned by George and Marcia Tipton. Their son Noah was working when I was there this time and he was polite, friendly and had great customer service. Noah is now the website and store manager. Tipton's is a perfect example how perfect a small business can be ran. Warning: Once you enter you will not want to leave. The environment, smells and music make you feel right at home. When I entered I was greeted immediately by Noah and asked if I would like cup of coffee while I shopped. How nice! So I grabbed a cup of joe and shopped. Right now this store is chuck full of Thanksgiving and Christmas treasures. Table settings, ornaments, candles, lamps, linens, music, chocolates and so on. There is so much to look at here that you could walk through the store 10 times and still not see everything. Walls, ceiling and floor is covered with treasures. This is where I buy all my candles because they have the best. Soy candles are also available. Tipton's was originally primarily a chocolate shop. And speaking of chocolates, they are out of this world! They have since dropped chocolates from their name I noticed and just go by Tipton's since they are so much more. I make it a point to visit here very time I go to Seaside, I love this place. How can I not? It's Christmas year 'round! The owner is an absolute gem and has been kind to me every time. What I love most are the soaps; there's a wonderful selection of nice-smelling soaps that make great gifts. I bought the scent Spruce, which is difficult to find elsewhere during normal times because it's a seasonal scent. They also carry fun types of light strings and bulbs -flaming ones, fairy lights, you name it! And the ornaments -so many ornaments, of different themes, even those for Hanukkah. I can only hope that this place stays open once I make enough money to buy up the whole store. Until then, I will try to support them in any way I can. It's evident they take a lot of care in curating the collection and organizing the store. read more

You walk into a storybook when you walk into Tiptons. The shoppe carries a cornucopia of Christmas decor (all year), ornate decorations, tablecloths, lamps, sweet treats and candles. The cost is reasonable considering that a good amount of their products are handmade. The warm welcoming ambience alone is worth the visit. read more

It's NOT just a candy or chocolate shop. It's SO much more!! We stopped in while window shopping and I am so glad we did. Tipton's offers beautiful home interior furnishings with a wide variety of styles. We stopped in during the first part of January and they were offering 50% off Christmas decorations. They still had a lot of really nice stuff and a large selection of things for me to peruse. We were in the store for probably 45 minutes and it seemed like there were still more things for me to see. The young mana at the counter was so nice. His Dad is the owner and I complimented him on the music that they were playing. Either he had an old soul, and appreciation for oldie music or hated his job. He actually liked the music AND he liked his job. He is a nice addition to a really great shop. SENSORY overload! Oh the feel good smells of candles, potpourri and coffee! If you love Christmas and decorating for your home or business, what a cool store that is the holiday season all year long! (along with other occasions too!) My wife wanted to decorate her table top Christmas tree at our Seaside beach house with a beach theme. No problem here as there are so many holiday themed ornaments to choose from. Mermaids, lobsters, Salmon, lighthouses and even octopus or is that octopi since there are oodles of them? We have made multiple trips to this inventory packed store on Broadway and always leave with more than we planned on purchasing. Seems they have quantity deals like buy 4 get the 5th free! Or like our most recent visit, 50% off!!!! Such a deal! Kind of like Ruffles, you don't stop at one! Upon checkout the friendly sales clerk asked if we liked chocolate and gave us each a very rich and tasty pecan covered with gobs of creamy dark chocolate! Tipton's Chocolate is one of the best in the USA. My wife is a chocolate nut and after having some of their chocolate she wanted to go back over & over. This is the most beautiful, fun, welcoming store we have EVER been to. Any time family stops in to town we take them to Tiptons. This store is family owned and we always make it a priority to stop here. The outstanding service and kindness goes a long way!! I spotted Tiptons inviting window displays and quilt hanging on the front door and had to venture in with my college age daughter during spring break and was pleasantly surprised. What a lovely shop such a wonderful assortment of interior furnishings wih plenty of choices. I bought Easter treasures while browsing and listening to the wonderful music. This is my very favorite store in Seaside. Maybe my favorite store anywhere! It is SOOO much more than a "chocolates and candles" store. Beautifully decorated, really cool and unique items. Just keep your purse held close so you don't knock anything over - everything's too beautiful to break! Great scented candles and soaps, and the chocolates are delicious too!
