We were looking for a snack to take on the road, and the Elotes fritters were awesome. Very light and fluffy, and freshly-made. So good.

Service is friendly, the menu is varied, they have a good kids menu, and the food is fresh and delicious. All four of us loved what we got tonight. My favorite was probably the BLTTA sandwich, but the sweet potato fries with honey mustard for dipping is TOP TIER. Our server was Cara, and she was sweet and offered great suggestions and she told us about some upcoming holiday events they were having which we will likely attend. Our bill at the end was very reasonable. The Cove will be our go-to from now on!

We chose to sit on the back patio overlooking the golf course. The patio is covered and has about 6-8 tables. Love all their beautiful flowers surrounding the building! The menu has a nice variety of options for both food and drinks. We ended up ordering the BLTTA sandwich with house made chips, the reuben sandwich with sweet potato waffle fries and one of their daily specials, brisket with macaroni and cheese. The food was fresh and delicious! Everything was cooked perfectly and we all finished our food. No leftovers. We especially loved the sweet potato waffle fries; crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. The turkey on the BLTTA was not lunch meat, it was fresh turkey breast. So yummy! Overall a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back to try some of their other menu items. Highly recommend.

They were evern fine with me playing my guitar in the former chapel space! We spent years coming to the Long Beach penninsula and have stayed at many places. No, this is not a bed and breakfast, but very resonable and perfect for anyone who wants to bring their own food and cook it up in a very nice facility. This is now our first choice. Highly recommended for a couple or a large group.

Apart from that, the staff is very nice and the location is great if you are planning a beach vacation in Long Beach. The accommodations are nice with a beach house motif, spacious living room for relaxing outside of your room, and it is generally clean. The room and bathroom are a bit small, but comfortable. Also note that guests must check in by a certain time, which was very inconvenient for me but I made it work. If you're planning on arriving late, you might want to reconsider.

Crispy, flaky, fresh, and absolutely delicious! My only request is a few more fries because they disappeared faster than my willpower around good seafood. Coleslaw: Let's just say... it had seen some things. The cabbage had already started making its own juice and seemed one step away from becoming sauerkraut. Definitely not my cup of tea. Tartar sauce: Good! No complaints. It quietly did its job. Service: 5/5. The staff were amazing! Super friendly, welcoming, and the food arrived incredibly fast. They definitely earned top marks. Ambiance: 5/5. It had the charm of a classic fishing shack, packed with fun nautical decorations and quirky touches. It felt authentic, relaxed, and like the kind of place where fish stories get bigger with every visit. Overall, I'd happily come back for the halibut, the fantastic service, and the fun atmosphere.

I stopped in hoping for reasonably priced fried seafood.....the Loose Caboose stopped me in my tracks! The service was attentive and really efficient, the ambiance is artfully decorated dollar bills stuck in between railroad and coastal memorabilia......it's an eclectic mix for ambiance. But: I just had probably the best clam chowder I've ever had. More clams, big chunks of clams, than potatoes......and somehow even tender, yet still identifiable celery? For real, I'd eat a gallon of that chowder. I almost took some to go. Fortunately, I went a bit jiggy with my fried prawns.....and got the 10pc! Like the chowder, the prawns were beyond excellent. Lightly breaded, tempura, almost. The breading actually had body and flavor....it isn't window dressing! And the prawns were very big, very juicy, and absolutely the perfect level of done.......a revelation among prawns, for sure! The sauces didn't taste like they came off the food service truck either. Both the tartar sauce and cocktail sauce were exemplary. The added coleslaw was bright and crisp with just a hint of malt vinegar.....a perfect dressing! I stopped in for just "some food"......what I got was a delightful experience. I'll absolutely be back!
