DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! I was going to my sisters bachelorette party and wanted to get my nails and toes done. I got tips put on because my nails were too short, and then wanted shellac on top and got a hot stone pedicure. I paid $108, and didn't get my cuticles clipped, nails soaked or anything. One nail's polish chipped after two days, then went back in to get it fixed. The manicurist was irritated she had to re do the design I had on my nail. I asked her why shellac would chip and she said "it's because it's the white color." Um, I've had white shellac and it didn't chip. Anyways, got it fixed. The next day more of my nail polish chipped, but this time the coral color. I realized BOTH times they never put on a base coat....on any of my nails. It's now been just barely a week and my toe nail polish is also chipping badly. This salon seems to cut corners, and is extremely dirty. Firstly, the vibe of the place was very boring and quite frankly awkward. There was very quiet music playing, but that was it. No tv's, no people talking, and I could barely hear the music that was playing. Secondly, on both of my hands, on numerous fingers, there are knick marks from where the woman kept clipping and going too hard on my skin. And I asked her two times the be softer as she was going too hard and it hurt. I am pleased with my nail color and nails, but the experience and wounds from it were not worth it. After letting my nail tech know that the nails were uneven she said, "I've been doing this for 20 years" if that's the case she should retire. My 14 year old sister was asking the nail tech for her opinion on nail design and she said, "you're asking a lot of questions" instead of simply showing her options. I absolutely LOVE my appt days at Sweet Nails. I get my nails done by Kwanie, who does a magnificent job! She always takes her time to make sure all of my nails are solid and even. I enjoy pointed tips, which can be difficult to shape evenly, but my nails are always perfect. The quality and craftsmanship behind Kwanie's work makes the price a steal! I've had less professional looking nails at high end salons for twice the price. I will happily stick with Kwanie and Sweet Nails! The pedicures are also amazing. I usually get my toes done by Sunny, and my favorite is the Lavender spa! The price, again, is excellent for the service. The cost includes a mud wrap, hot stones, and the most relaxing foot massage! I like to put away my phone, settle back into the massage chair, close my eyes, and enjoy the pure bliss that a great pedicure brings! I've seen a few reviews challenging their cleanliness and customer service. They are spotless! The salon is neat, clean, and well kept. I've watched their sanitation procedures, and everything is clean! These ladies always have a big smile and a hug (before Covid, at least!) for me when I come in. Sooo my grandma, (80 years old visiting from california) has very long natural nails that she gets overlayed with acrylic, broke 2 and needed them fixed. Since COVID I have done my own nails so couldn't recommend a good place for her to go. We decided to try Sweet Nails. Not only did it cost $75 for a full set, but this is quite literally THE worst set of nails I have ever paid for. (I have had them done ALOT) not only did it take nearly 2.5 hours, but my 4 year old that sat for 45 minutes getting her nails painted, had 3 of her fingers polish fall off within 10 minutes of them drying. Sunny was not very "soft" and friendly with my daughter either. Young did my nails and not only are NONE of them even, but they aren't even flat on the surface. My grandmother explained to me how painful it was to have her nails done and that broke my heart! I feel like I got robbed and I will never recommend sweet nails to anyone! I'll make this quick the worst nail job I've ever had. I use Dip and I love it because it lasts for at least 4 weeks. But my dip job at this place lasted ONE day. I wanted something festive for the holidays and I don't live very close so I could get back to have it redone before we left on our Christmas trip. So I had to deal with chipping and. Breaking till my nails looked so bad I just wanted it all off. I had Dip over my natural nails but those broke as soon as the dip chipped off. I wish I could get my money back, dip is not cheap. This salon is very nice when you first walk in and the staff was very friendly. I asked to get gel polish along with my regular pedi. The lady was pretty good--not too attentive though as you can tell my left toes did not get their top coat of gel to make them shiny as my right did and my left toes are much shorter than my right toes as well.. they do give a nice shoulder massage after. Ladies and gents, there are plenty of other nail salons to go to. Please go to them. First off, they are far from sanitary. They are reusing their equipment and they are obviously either just dipping it in alcohol for a second or not at all. So there's that. If you care about hygiene this is a big red flag. Secondly, the woman that did my pedicure was so rough that it hurt. I asked her to go easy on me since I'm pregnant and my feet are swollen, she didn't get that message or seemed to care. I had to stop her and proceed to walk out. The main manager said she will finish my pedicure and did. It was terribly done. Polish was messy and I just pray to God I don't get an infection from the equipment they assured me was clean. I'm not even exaggerating. Please just go elsewhere. Please! This review is based upon visits from July - August 2015, using 3 techs. I had a gelle/ shellac manicure and regular pedicure. I can recommend Karen and Christina for their diligence, particularly Christina was fabulous! The shop was clean and has massage chairs for pedis. My pedi took about 6 'rotations' of the chair set on full body (I didn't time it but there was no rushing and I loved it, since most places I've gone to in the past make me feel almost guilty to be taking their time). Cash-paying customers receive a $3 discount. I found the prices here -- for getting the same thing done -- is comparable to St. Louis. The manicure tables have comfortable chairs, which are like heavily padded office chairs. All of the techs did a good job but I made a poor choice in polish (it looked one way in the bottle and totally different 'on'). Christina said something at the first touch! She asked me if I really wanted that polish and I had to agree, it was NOT what I intended. She immediately whisked the base coat and polish off and asked me about preferences. She showed me some options and finally, I asked her to decide what she thought was best for my colouring -- she came back with a couple of colours, I couldn't decide, so she did the ring nails as one colour and the rest as another. I *loved* it and would never have come up with that on my own. She was also very, very careful with a couple of injuries I have (I've had some nightmares in the past, so maybe having somebody professional is why I'm such a fan!) and my nails (hands and feet) look great. I had acrylics put on at another salon and ran in here for a rebase. My nails were super thick due to the job I do.. I NEED them thick so they won't break. Without asking she filed down the thickness. I didn't ask because I am an amateur and didn't know the process however I told her I need them thick. By evening the polish was chipping ( just normal use at home). At work they broke off within 6 hours. Waste of $28 for rebase.. paid to have my nails sanded off. read more

I have to say I have been coming to the salon for years, however, they have made a lot of recent changes that would take what used to be a five star review down to a one. Today was the last straw. I had a terrible pedicure by one of the ladies who is new. She barely made any effort at all. She then proceeded to white out my punch card and tell me that I could not use my $10 coupon. What kind of weaselly crap is that? The other is that this place has been getting worse for a while. While your feet and hands will look goo when you leave nothing lasts. Chipped paint happens in days. Last time I had a shellac done it chipped the very next day. Do yourself a favor and find someplace else to go.
