The staff was friendly, but per usual you can tell they're gossiping about their clients in Vietnamese. The woman who did my mani pedi did an excellent job! She took her time. I also appreciated the long leg massage. I went in not knowing the prices and I think they are reasonable compared to the prices of nail salons these days. Being a previous business owner, I really hate leaving a bad review, but after going to this salon for a good 9 months now I must share my experience for the girls that read reviews like I do. I have always been happy with my nails and my pedicures when I leave this salon and that is why I continued to go back over and over. i always love the outcome of my nails and my pedicures from Magic Nails, however, there is more to that and especially if you enjoy the experience when you spend $100+. My first complaint with the salon is it is very dirty, and I admit I looked past it for a long time. Secondly, the girls DO talk about you and the other clients in Vietnamese - they continually talk across salon to each other. This doesn't bother me so much but it's a fact they are talking about their clients and that it's so obvious. I've watched the owner (multiple times) get upset with a client for messing up a nail and then talk Vietnamese to the entire shop and they all laugh. I encourage anyone to turn on a translation app on your phone when you go in and you'll know what I'm talking about! After nine months you might wonder why I'm just now posting this review. For one they do a spectacular job on acrylics - they look natural and do not break, which is why I kept going back. I thought being loyal might help me and that once they knew me and that I was a good and consistent tipper they would treat me differently. My last visit was the last straw for me. My tech mentioned that I was due for a new set, and I agreed. My tech took one hand and the owner, Anne, took my other hand to remove the old acrylics. To my shock they pried them off with a tool (I could have pried them off at home). To my surprise they did not grind them down and soak them! They came off so harshly that one nail split in half and bled!! Anne never apologized for this and why I didn't speak up, I DO NOT KNOW (my fault I know)! My tech covered it with new acrylics and my nails looked great as usual. When I went to pay, would you believe that Anne, the owner (the one that ripped my nail in half) charged me for the removal of the acrylics, the ones that they have been doing for 9 months and the ones that they ripped off in the same fashion we would do out of boredom in front of the tv. To add insult to injury, I waited quite a while for my pedicure to dry and wanted to wait longer since I was putting on regular shoes. My tech assured me they were dry and when I got home my big toes were completely ruined. In a salon where I've been going for a long time and they know me, I'd normally just go back to get them fixed. I guarantee you when I've asked for a rough nail to be fixed after I'm finished, I'm treated like a pariah (true story) so I decided it wasn't worth it. I must say I am very bummed that this won't be my forever salon, which is what I'm looking for, but I WILL NEVER GO BACK!! PLEASE, PLEASE do not let them rip off your acrylics - learn from my mistake and speak up!!!!! read more

I love coming here to get my nails done. They are always so nice and can get me in right away with little to no wait. I show them a picture of what I want, and they do their best to replicate it, and it always comes out so good! They are not too expensive like some other nail salons in the area as well! Really Magic! I'm from chicago and I came here to get my nails done on vacation. I was in at 9am when they opened and was the first I'm the chair. I got the basic mani and pedi with gel polish. The pedicure was $50 and the manicure was $40. Even for the basic mani and pedi they took great care of me. I had Tina and she was great and very nice through the whole experience. If I lived here I would make this my regular mail salon! read more

I've been going here on and off for 9 years! I always go to Anne (the owner) for my nails, but have seen multiple people for pedicures. They are all amazing. The only thing I can say negatively is sometimes they are not able to do the design I want, but they always willing to offer something similar and are upfront. I would always rather have someone tell me the truth and say they can't do it instead of lying then getting bad results. Anne is always so sweet - I adore her! She is incredibly fast and always welcoming. She has accommodated me calling last minute and got me in. Absolutely love her and their consistency as far as customer service and quality goes. I went in to have my dip powder removed and have my natural nails trimmed down and cleaned up. I left with super jagged rough nails. I don't know how by any standard this would be considered acceptable. read more

It is always disappointing going to a salon that rushes through it or is working on several clients at the same time and that is exactly the opposite of what this nail salon achieves! Every worker was so personable and seemed so appreciative of everyone's business! I decided to get a mani pedi being that I am going to Seattle for my cousin's wedding. I am so satisfied with the job they did and definitely feel wedding ready! One of my favorite things about getting my nails done is the massage part and I often feel that it is a part that gets rushed and skipped over, however I was completely pampered and really felt she took her time! I liked everything except one thing and it is big! Be aware their stations are not clean, dusty, then tools they use - are not cleaned after each client is not been sanitized as well. I have asked nail tech to take a new file and clean tools as well! She looked at me like I speak another language to her. Unfortunatly I came back second time - it was still not cleaned. It looked discussting :( very dusty and you can tell they do not spend time to keep salon clean. So many ladies work there. Have to call state board. If it is high cost, then ask higher price so it will be more sanitised and healthy. I hope one day it will be like that ! read more

Nails were okay the first time (only reason for the two stars, one star for the first visit and one for the second). I was going out of state, and had a lot to do so I didn't complain. However, I did make her straighten a few. My second time around (today) as soon as the "other" people started to come in I was immediately rushed out. I definitely will not be returning. For one, I pay good money and tip WELL. To be rushed out when I'm paying just like everyone else really pisses me off. Then only to have my nails look pink afterwards because she didn't have time to properly trim the excess pink fill off after filling my pink/white set. My son noticed right away after we left and stated "Mommy why are your nails pink?" It took for me to get pissed after politely asking her twice to straighten them because the were all slanted to the right. She asked me to hold on a second to run to the back and had the nerves to hand me the file and tell me " I can fix if I like". I told her don't worry about it I'll fix them at home. Then she said "No I fix for you then." I definitely won't be returning. I have no problem taking my money elsewhere. They lost a good customer. Their lost, not mine.
