Recently My husband was in the area & decided to bring home some cup cakes. He purchased 6 for $34 (that was including tip). My niece & I each had one & both were stale. I called and asked to speak to a manager. I won't put her name here. I told her about the quality of the cupcakes. She said that is NOT possible. I told her well I ate it and yes it is. I asked how fresh they were - she said they are "delivered" every morning and then went on about the bakery being cold and maybe that's why. I told her if she thought it was about the money it's not. After some additional back and forth I just disconnected the call. The attitude and her alluding to me being a liar is not warranted. I simply wanted her to understand that this could've been a bad batch and maybe she should check. She didn't care. Quite frankly by her demeanor she was right and I was wrong. I did send a message via their website and have had no one reach out yet. Please train your staff on customer service. First of all, I'm a simp for Sweet's macarons!!!! The creme brûlée, pistachio, & lavender are my favorites! But this visit was strictly for their milk teas. I came here on Sunday afternoon to grab a drink before walking around the outdoor shopping center. This was my first time, so I took a look at the menu and ordered the iced matcha latte. I watched the employee make it, and I was definitely skeptical after seeing her mix very little matcha powder into very little liquid. It came out in a timely manner, but there was barely any matcha flavor whatsoever. The drink was almost pale, and it was extremely watery. It was as if I was drinking plain, unsweetened milk with little chunks of undissolved matcha powder. Horrible. WORST matcha latte I've had in my life. The employees were very professional when it came to me wanting a different drink. The staff offered to remake the drink, but there was no way I was going to try that mess again. I opted for the sweet dream, which is a caramel and hazelnut coffee drink. The hazelnut was a bit overpowering, but this came with a much happier ending than the matcha latte. read more

Have you ever wanted to go to an establishment based on the name alone or because you wanted just one item from them? SWEET did this for me for sure. The place is decent but some items need work. They really have a lot of items to choose from and also would be great for birthday and wedding needs. That is if you really like the product. It would be good to visit when they first open to get the freshest items. That is true for most bakeries although some are so popular that they take extra steps to ensure moistened and freshness or they are baking their items throughout the day. I ordered a charcoal lemonade- the reason for my order. I was so intrigued! The lemonade was fresh and sweetened with agave. It's supposed to detoxify your system. I also got a Dragon fruit lemonade that was sweetened with agave and is supposed to provide antioxidants. Both VERY GOOD! Tart and not that sweet! Gimme, gimme! It's unpasteurized so not for some. I ordered a marbled pound cake and an inner chocolate cake and both were dry and tasted rather stale. So may have been a few days old. They would have been good if fresh. I shall return though. As other reviews have stated, customer service isn't the best. No warm welcomes but maybe a poor attempt at smiles. Quite a small spot and everything looks inviting in the glass cases. Tried an almond croissant which was ok... needed more almond paste. Also tried 3 extra small cronuts which were almost the size of donut holes! Good flavor... probably better if warmed but the price will make you gasp in horror. $4.00 for cream filled! Whaaaaat? We were drawn to this place by the reviews so expectations were high. No like it used to be. The macaroons are overly filled and incredibly sweet. The lavender macaroons used to be divine and now they have an artificial taste. Picked up chocolate chip cookies and oatmeal raisin cookies; was so excited to see that they had some in the store and was extremely disappointed upon consuming. The cookie was hard and overly sweet. Came in after Happy Hour on a Thursday. Decided to tug their decaf coffee and some macarons. Spent $15 for a small decaf latte and 4 little macarons!! Place is expensive and their decaf coffee was extremely sweet where I couldn't enjoy it. Pros were that they have great customer service and the taste of the macarons were yummy! Yesterday, my sister and I went to pick up 1 order of macarons (24-24-12 count) that was placed online. It was for Sweet's birthday $1 event. When we got home, we realized 3 macarons were missing. The 24-count macarons were missing 2 macarons, the green tea raspberry and cookies n' creme. And the other 24-count macarons; it was missing 1 creme brûlée macaron. Some great macarons, however the practice of their employees of not informing the customer that they charge you even for the small cardboard box and the bow is misleading. Usually you pay and don't even ask, but this last time I visited SWEET, I noticed it. This is not OK. I paid almost $50 for a dozen macarons and 3 or 4 extras. I think the least the owner could do is pay for the boxes because they are very delicate and cannot be put in a plastic bag. Cupcakes are yummy and I love their bubble tea but this place will overcharge you!!! Several times, I have felt like my bubble tea has had more ice than milk tea. One time I asked for less ice and they charged me .75 extra for this request. I decided not to do that again and just let it go. My husband ordered a milk tea with a shot of espresso and this is the breakdown for this beverage $5+$1.75+ .20 covid charge+ .34 environmental tax + .57sales tax= $7.86 Had they actually had tapioca they would've added an additional.75. Are you kidding me?! Ummm it was good but not THAT good!!! I really want to support this local business and I really like their treats but good gracious this is dumb! When I called to ask about the Covid charge, they said it was to cover the cost of hand sanitizer and masks. Not sure why I'm paying for these things if I wasn't given a mask or any hand sanitizer. We were looking for something sweet after a meal at a nearby restaurant, and what better place to go than something called Sweet? They have a very large selection so choosing what to get was a bit tough, in a good way, but unfortunately I wasn't super stoked with what I chose. I opted to try 2 of their mini cronuts, the cinnamon-sugar and the cream filled. Both, oddly enough, were not sweet enough for my liking and seemed a bit stale (likely because we went at night so if they were made early in the day, that would make sense). They weren't bad by any means, but I was left a little unsatisfied. The others I were with got a cupcake and mini cheesecake and they both seemed to enjoy, so I think I just picked the wrong thing. The entire place is very cute and has a great ambience. Their macarons are also great but I wouldn't classify them as the best. They are the typical macarons you would find anywhere else. Sweet! What a shame, today just got me as I took the time to wait for that 8am opening time. Been supporting you for the past 6 years and as of today your new employees may have officially run me off. Getting coffee and tacos in the morning shouldn't end in frustration quite so often, you're either out of cold brew, tacos, or both. A side note for anyone still willing to deal with their complete lack of organization and seemingly bothering their employees (all but one, who is always very sweet, by even being there ordering. ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS make sure to ask if they have salsa before ordering tacos, half the time they do not and it is a major let down when you open up that bag to find a couple lonely soggy tortilla tacos that you've been making excuses for the last 6 years, because something about that sweet salsa makes up for it. Their tacos cannot stand on their own without it, just a waste of $6 and the time it takes me off route for some flavorless disappointment. This review is solely based of customer service, as I never got to try the macaroons. My friend had mentioned this place, as a lover of macaroons I was intrigued. They had an anniversary sale, macaroons for $1. Can't beat that so I ordered the minimum (24 macaroons) for pick up. Upon arrival at the appointed time, the place was a mess. We were told to call when arrived so they could bring the macaroons to us curbside. No one ever answered the phone. Finally got off to be told to write my name down on a paper, which i did. As I waited there I spoke to a couple of the people waiting outside. They had a pickup time two hours earlier, and they were still waiting for their macaroons. I'm sorry but that is not worth the $1 macaroons. After 45 minutes I just left with no macaroons. As this place isn't near my house, it wasn't somewhere I could easily get to. I expected maybe they'd call the next day to say my order was still there, never happened. After a few days I emailed them expressing my experience and wanting my money back. No one ever responded. I understand an event like that leads to a huge demand but what is the point of online reservations with slot times for pickup if they can't be handled. The workers there were obviously overwhelmed by the angry and annoyed customers, not their fault. Definitely left a bad taste in mouth, no pun intended since I never got to try them. read more

I've always been more of a mild fan of macarons. They're good, but not my favorite baked good. Maybe my tastes have changed though, because the ones from SWEET are giving me a whole new outlook! I came here and got a set of 6 macarons for $14. It's a painful price, but one I'm willing to settle for when it comes to trying recommended desserts. My six macarons were fruity pebbles, vanilla, honey lavender, green tea, creme brulee, and rose. The top three for me were probably fruity pebbles, green tea, and creme brulee. For the creme brulee in particular, the icing inside was so soft and pillowy. The green tea had a raspberry icing with a bit of jam in the middle, which I really liked to offset the subtlety of the green tea. Fruity pebbles is just something that's hard to screw up, and almost always a win for me...what more can I say? The creme brulee macaron was about $3 but the rest were $2.25 or something. Ridiculous pricing, but...worth it if you're looking to treat yourself. read more

I haven't been coming back as often as before unless there was a special sale on the macarons or drinks. It's not that the quality has worsen or anything, but because the cravings are not prevalent any longer. If I do come back, it's mostly for the MILK TEA because it's not overly sweet and it's light/refreshing. The tapiocas are good too when it's done right. It's just the right amount of soft chewiness. I also ordered a CUSTOM NUMBER CREAM TART CAKE. It looked really cute, but it wasn't worth the price. I ordered two numbers and the grand total was $80. Flavor was nothing spectacular. It was just a basic almond sponge cake with mascarpone and some macarons on top. I wouldn't order it again. Whenever I visit City Centre, SWEET is a must-stop-by spot for me. Ever since I found a perfect recipe for me, I don't think I can ever stop going here. I wanted to get a coffee milk tea but since they don't have coffee syrup, one of the servers suggested adding espresso shot to the milk tea and oh boy, she was genius! It mitigates the sweetness of the milk tea by adding subtle bitterness of coffee and it creates a perfect flavor! Cafe sua da/Vietnamese coffee (6/10): Definitely a strong caffeinated drink if you want to stay more alert. However I think they might be using a different type of coffee beans because it has a different taste than the ones you can get at most Vietnamese restaurants. Not the best I've had but I would get it again if needed. Seasonal pumpkin cupcake (7/10): The cake is moist which is very important!!! However if there wasn't a name label for the cupcake I wouldn't have known it was pumpkin flavor. I usually take off about 75-80% of the frosting because I'm not obsessed with frosting in general. The frosting does have more of the pumpkin spice taste. They sell other cupcake flavors, special desserts, and macarons. Currently they have a Monday special on macarons: buy 3 get 1 free.
