My family and I visited this location for the second time after having brunch in the same area on Saturday around 2 pm. I will say the customer service experience felt totally different this time. The moment we stepped in, the employee had a flat affect & responses were almost non-existent even after several thank you's with the samples. My daughter wanted to sample the lavender that I tried myself and the server gave me a questioning & disapproving look. I mentioned I did have a sample but was requesting if my daughter could have one if that was ok. I felt like I made an offensive request with her reaction so I hurried my daughter to make a choice and she ended up with the lavender in a regular cone. I chose not to get one for myself. The space to walk through is on the narrow side and the server was instructing us to stay as close together as possible as a group of 4. My brother enjoyed his usual gooey butter cake & my sister in law enjoyed her honey vanilla bean. My daughter only took a few licks and gave up her lavender. I value customer service as something that brings me back to a place even if something didn't taste that great and give it another try but this experience will definitely encourage me choose another franchise location. read more

I really like this place. There's a large variety of ice creams to choose from. I always like when the flavors are a bit unusual. I like that you can mix and match scoops. I got one scoop of this sweet potato ice cream. It was a powerful flavor. Very strong. But it was sweet she good and gave me heavy fall vibes. I got another brambleberry one that I liked less. The flavor was really good but it had way too many little seeds and I can be a little weird about textures sometimes. I can tolerate a little bit of seeds but that's not the crunch I want to feel from my ice cream. The flavor fit that one really was good though. It just the texture hijacked my experience a bit. This is one if those places that you want to do like a taste test challenge with. Sit down and have a bite from every flavor they have. Will he going back next time I'm in town. The area is great. Absolutely delicious!! They don't sell Jeni's where I live but I've been wanting to try it for a few years now. Whenever I come to Htown I don't want to get a pint to eat in the car, but after my trip to Jeni's scoop shop in Memorial City I think I'd have no trouble eating a pint in the car on my way home. I got Burnt Orange Dreamsicle and Gooey Butter Cake in a waffle cone. I'd definitely return to try more Jeni's ice cream but probably not this location due to parking and space. Parking is free in the parking garage top floors, or you have to pay to park on the bottom floors and in a parking space closer to the shop. I'd also try another location because this one is really tiny with only four chairs available to sit inside. Lots of spots to sit in the outside courtyard like space of CityCentre though. My favorite flavor was probably the cosmic bloom! I thought the waffle cone could use a boost of vanilla flavor as it was almost too buttery. Many ice cream places are on the pricier side now, and Jeni's is one them. However, the ice cream is decent if you're willing to pay the higher cost. This location doesn't offer much in the way of indoor seating, but it does have a nice open area in front with lawn chairs to sit and for kids to play. Stopped by here after dinner on a weekend and the line was out the door and wrapped around the side. It was at least a 30 min wait and in the heat, it felt like an hour. Only ~5-6 customers fit inside, so when it's busy, you have to wait for someone to wave you in. But we persevered as I was curious to see if it was worth the wait. TLDR: Not worth the wait, would maybe try again if no line, but if there's a line, there are other places with good ice cream There are maybe 2-3 little bar spots to sit at inside and 2-4 tables outside. We got lucky and snagged the inside seating as another group was leaving. This helped our ice cream experience as the entire thing would have melted in a few minutes if we left the a/c. They're patient with samples and I thought it was interesting that they use little metal spoons that can be washed and reused. We each got 3 scoops. $8 for city center is not bad and I thought the scoop was a decent size. Tried the salted licorice, bramble berry crisp, wild berry lavender, milkiest chocolate, salted peanut butter, gooey butter cake. The last 3 were not my picks and were what I expected. Overwhelmingly sweet and rich. Salted licorice was very unique and probably my favorite of the night. Didn't really taste the lavender in the lavender wild berry but it was ok. Bramble berry was ok too. 3/5 is my rating for all of the flavors. I prefer "lighter" ice cream in general so this just wasn't my cup of tea + the line. read more
