I was in search of gourmet popsicle and stumbled uponTthe Paleta bar. I was happy to see they had non-dairy Popsicles. unfortunately it was hard to make choices because there wasn't really a menu on display or pricing. The server was friendly and tried to explain things to us, but there was a slight language barrier. I ordered the Paleta Mangoneada. It was good but had a little too much chili for me (next time I will ask for less). Unfortunately, they did not have mango available for the fruit topping, so I chose strawberry. On the weekends parking can a a challenge because it is a shared parking lot with a huge H‑E‑B. read more

Paleta was amazing. Huge huge variety. I got the gansito with almonds half dipped in chocolate. My husband got the abuelita one. They let you try their paletas. I want to try their fruit ones. They offer a free agua Frescas if you tag them and the lady was a bit rude when we got ours. They weren't that friendly or inviting. Just there to do a job. The interior was beautiful and nice. Love this place! So many options and different combinations to get, it was hard to decide. Love that you can try samples! They also have some snacks and fresh made agua fresca, which I sampled and it was very good. The people who work there are really friendly and helpful. Everything I tried or got was delicious. The only bad thing about this place is figuring out what flavor to get. So many options of paletas and then to make it more difficult, there are options to top them. I appreciated the fact that, they saw how conflicted we were in choosing a flavor so they allowed us to sample a few before picking out our favorite. Plus, they have dairy free options, which is great. We will definitely be back several more times because there are so many flavors we want to try, plus I want to try their aqua frescas as well. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the location, there isn't much space for seating outside (paleta and aqua frescas need to be enjoyed outside in Houston) and also it would be nice to walk around. Tip to owner: if Open a location in the city center plaza, it would be a hit !!!! read more

The place to go if you want something refreshing fruitwise, traditional sweet of vanilla/chocolate assortments, fruit bowl, or savory snacks. I think its nice you get to try samples of the Paleta Bars. 2 paleta bars for $12 (seems a little high to me, but with location and inflation in general everywhere) My friend enjoyed her Chamoy Paleta with fruit Mango (not spicy) I like the watermelon paleta coated with chili seasoning and drizzle with some chamoy and with fruit mango. Came with my family and the service was perfect! The two employees were very helpful and kind when we told them it was our first time. The paletas we're yummy and so refreshing. I saw this place on the localish coverage on one of the news channels. Localish covers popular food places in the city. So I had to try it and I am so glad I did. I got the cookies and cream paleta bar covered in milk chocolate drizzled in the dark chocolate and covered with peanuts. My friend had the Reese's and chips ahoy cookie paleta bar. She thoroughly enjoyed her dessert so much we kept talking about what we had and how good it was on the ride home. Lol We plan to go back soon. The dessert was not overly sweet and the additional topics are perfect if you like to try a variety of things. The staff were friendly and let you try samples if you are indecisive. Just found out there's a @thepaletabarhouston in town!!! We first had it in Vegas and man these are some delicious ice cream bars!!! The flavors rotate every so often but you can usually find certain staples and they let you sample both the ice cream and juices!! Fresh spot to check out if your looking for a refreshing snack. So many options to choose from and toppings, galore!. I met the owner very nice and very accommodating. The location is very small not much seating inside and some tables outside. It seems to be busy at all times so expect a little bit of a wait in line, But it does move quick. I like coming to this place because the treats are good. And I like the rewards program that they have as well. Today I went in and got 2 agua frescas. I had received a text message for a free agua. I go to check out and let the associate know I had the code. She says no, I had gotten the large agua. She said it's for the small one. On the message there was no exclusions or restrictions. I ran across a page on Tik Tok that talked about it, but I didn't really catch the location and today I stumbled upon it and I'm so glad I did! The staff is super friendly, informative, and super patient if you're a first timer. I believe the gentleman I met was the owner and he was extremely nice as I rambled about how amazing the pop was. You pick a flavor, choose if you'd like it dipped, & if you'd like any toppings. Super reasonable in pricing and it's so fulfilling to your stomach. I love this place! So much variety! The staff is always super friendly and you're even able to sample the variety of off the wall flavors they offer! Never imagined you can dip and sprinkle so many options on your favorite flavored paleta! I've gone home with the mango chile drizzled in a picked chamoy and sprinkles with tajin! I've also walked out with a coconut drizzled with milk chocolate! The coconut is amazing and let me tell you, I'm a coconut snob and by far this place has the best! We ordered some paletas and an agua fresca, the agua was a little disappointing and a bit lackluster but the paletas and the chamoy were soooo good everything was rich and flavorful. We had paletas last Sunday evening after spotting them as we were leaving H‑E‑B. The employees were over-the-top nice and so helpful. They offered samples of paletas and water, and they even gave us a water to-go on the house as we were leaving. They definitely provided amazing customer service and made a good impression. I had the cookies and cream paleta dipped in white chocolate and sprinkles. Pretty and tasty, yes! I would definitely get half the coating next time because holy sugar, Batman! My husband had the taro paleta dipped in white chocolate and pecans. His was also very good. Overall, we are so happy we stopped for this treat. Wow, what a cool topic to study and it shows her commitment, devotion, and skills which all go into the wonderful flavors at SweetCup! She experiments with different flavors, cultural flairs, and combinations. The location has seating inside for about 10 people and outside patio tables with chairs for another 10 people. Anything larger would have been too much for me, so the price point felt very fair for the portion and quality. I also tried the macaron and the tea. Both were fine but nothing standout for me. I have had better macarons and better tea elsewhere, and as someone who really appreciates good tea, it was decent but not something I would go back for specifically. That said, the gelato alone is absolutely worth returning for and even making a drive for. The space itself is very small and cozy, more of a boutique style spot. It is ideal for individuals, couples, or very small groups. Larger groups may prefer to enjoy their treats outdoors around the plaza and then move along, as this is more of a grab and go or short stay kind of place. Overall, I would definitely be back. You may order online, in shop through a tablet, or with a person at the register. We used the register because we did not see the tablet and did not want to order ahead online. The ladies who helped us on our visit were very nice. You get a number and they call it when your made to order food is ready. We did not have to wait long. There was medium to low noisy ambiance. It was deserted when we arrived, but they have relatively loud background music. While we were eating it got pretty crowded. Mostly a lot of young people in the middle of the day on a Monday. The inside is small, seating both inside and outside are limited and close together. One lady was studying with her laptop, but there are no plugs. The breakfast sandwich is customizable. We got it on a croissant and with sausage. The eggs had a unique texture and the sandwich a unique flavor that we could not place, but both were very tasty. We also wanted a crepe, but we split the sandwich and it was sufficient. We also got a small mocha and a decaf, both were ok to good. We would definitely come back again and recommend that you give them a try for a crepe or sandwich. It is sad that a few Yelpers brought down their average to 3.8 stars due to petty and unjustified complaints such as having to pay for parking downtown. Other complaints are not the business' fault such as periodic homelessness--it is a downtown area in the US, other cities have far worse homelessness than Midtown Houston and we saw none on this visit. Additionally, complaints about takeout orders are mostly petty. Takeout is never as good as eating at the restaurant and so customers should adjust their expectations rather than dock the business stars. Nearly every recent Yelp review for this who ate at the restaurant gave 4-5 stars for food quality and customer service. Like most of the restaurants in this area it is a pretentious yuppy style place with specialized food. Although not usually our type of place (we like down to earth hole in the wall places with good food or taco truck type restaurants), Coco's is a solid 4 star restaurant for the type of place they are and they offered a 5 star experience on our visit. Again, recommend you give them a try if you are in the mood for crepes or sandwiches.

This was my first time coming here so my girlfriend and I ordered a fee items to get the full experience. We both ordered a beverage, i ordered a Vanilla Chai and she had the Caramel Cococcino. As for food, we ordered a Chicken Breakfast Sandwich(pictured), Cinnamon Roll Crepe (Pictured), Dulce De Leche Crepe with Almonds and Strawberries (pictured), and a strawberry cheesecake crepe (not pictured but looked like a normal crepe with powdered sugar). My favorites were the strawberry cheesecake and the cinnamon roll. My girlfriend's favorite was the Dulce De Leche and the strawberry cheesecake. Neither one of us cared for the breakfast sandwich too much, not sure if it was the wheat bread or the flavorless chicken. A couple of days ago we came back to try a couple of white mocha's and the breakfast sandwich again but with the Moroccan Sausage. We have determined-the breakfast sandwich will not be ordered anymore. But again the drinks were good. Overall, we will be back. The staff is nice, the drinks are good and so are the Crepes.
