We came here around 10 PM on a Friday night. It was super packed. Once you get to the counter, they don't rush you when you want to sample different ice cream which I really appreciate about. I ordered the black cherry pistachio. It's a very chunky ice cream. It's bits of cherries and whole pistachio nuts mixed in what taste like a sweet cream vanilla? My husband got a milkshake, but they put in the wrong ingredient. They put in chocolate and instead of praline. So when you make your order, make sure you speak very loudly and clearly so they can hear what you want. The ice cream was meh. I felt like they were too plain. So they would be good for someone who wants more of a single basic flavor without too many ingredients mixed in. For me this isn't something I'll drive out for but huge maybe if I'm just in the area. There's not a lot of seatings. Some people were in their cars eating ice cream in the parking lot . The parking lot is huge and free.

The gentleman working here was very helpful with offering samples and on recommending the chocoberry as it was very delicious!! He also sang beautifully. We enjoyed him serving us. He had a really great attitude considering how late we came, 10pm

I got it delivered via Uber eats. I got one brownie sundae. I had ordered this before and it was delicious! Love the fudge and sprinkles that the brownie comes with. I'm not sure why they gave me 4 containers of ice cream? I thought maybe because they were about to close.. but I was super happy about that! Happy with the service. Super yummy. Ice cream is super creamy

I'm not really a dessert person but my friend insisted I try this ice cream and omggggg. The uggs, pugs and boots was my pick. I believe it was Mexican vanilla, warm praline, biscotti cookie and brown sugar... Never had anything better than that and I'm officially obsessed. The ice cream was a 10/10 and the shop was very cute!

When people suggest a place for ice cream, they often recommend the holy grail Amy's. I'd say give it a shot, but don't expect it to change your life. I'm not an ice cream snob, but I found their infamous Mexican Vanilla to be just okay. Maybe I'm not a "vanilla person" and I'm quite adventurous with my flavors. If you are the kind of person to mix in a bunch of random candies and cookies - then you'd like it. I would come back to try their other flavours but I just wasn't impressed with their "Mexican Vanilla." Also... for one tiny cup... it wasn't that cheap either.

LOVED the ice cream here! Went on a late night (and by that I mean late for a weekday since it was 9pm on a Wednesday) hunt for some ice cream. I had heard of Amy's before and seeing that it was only 10 mins away and open til 12, I decided to give them a try. Upon arrival there were a few families in line, but the wait went quick. There were 2 people taking orders and both were friendly. I sampled the banana pudding and knew it was exactly what I wanted! Got some chocolate chips mixed in and honestly could've done without, the ice cream was so rich and creamy and the banana pudding flavor was on point! Tasted just like the real thing. My bf got the Mexican vanilla with Cinnamon Toast Crunch mixed in and it was really good as well. We both got small sized scoops, which were more than enough with the huge waffle cones they have. The waffle cones were actually super good as well, perfectly crunchy. It was pretty pricey, $19 for 2 cones but the quality of ice cream makes up for it for me. The spot itself is cute, kinda retro looking with some seating inside and outside. They also sell pints and ice cream cakes. I'll for sure be back to try other flavors.

Really great ice cream with a multitude of toppings and sauces. Tried mexican vanilla with cookie dough and praline walnut sauce. Love that it's opened late, however they may have a line so watch out for that. There are some cones which are free to swap from a cup which I loved. It's a bit on the pricer side but the quality is there.

Fantastic Mexican Vanilla IC togo !!!

I picked up a tiny size of Mexican Vanilla Ice Cream tonight, which is equivalent to one scoop. It's hard to believe that any vanilla ice cream is worth eating by itself or without toppings bc vanilla is usually boring and too simple for me, but this Mexican vanilla version is on another level of awesome. Imo, much better than any Vanilla Gelato, French Vanilla, Breyer's, Blue Bell, etc. It was very delicious, very creamy, dense, cold but not frozen, sweet and fragrant in its unique way. It's so good, I rarely add anything to it and has a sweet heavy cream, egg yolk profile to it. I wouldn't be surprised if it had a smidge of amaretto or coconut due to its full vanilla bean, exotic taste that's hard to fully pin point in description. Great, friendly service tonight as well.

Got some ice cream but overall it's about 3 stars. It was 1 star when we got a vegan icecream with Oreo as it was like salt icecream but we got to replace with vegan strawberry and it was better.

Our friends told us about this place, and we decided to come here after a Friday night dinner. We each ordered a different flavor of ice cream. None of the flavors stood out, I felt like all the flavors needed a boost. Both vanillas tasted the same. There was nothing special about this place. Better ice cream from the store.

Coffee ice cream in a Waffle Cone

First time in Houston and needed some ice cream.. google suggested Amy's and I'm glad we went!!! Hands down one of THE best ice cream joints I've been too! I got a small coffee ice cream with Oreo and golden Oreo crush-ins and it was to die for!!! It is pricey but definitely worth it!!

Solid 4! We have beeen here a few times and my gf really likes this place. I like it too. Ice cream: the first time I had Oreos and vanilla. Really good. Their version of cookies and cream. This time I opted for an cookies and cream Oreo cake. 15.00 lol holy hell that's a rip off! For one that is priced wayyy too dam high and second it took 40 mins to defrost. We couldn't even eat it right away. It was as hard a rock. So we shared her ice cream and ate this hard frozen rock later at the home. It was definitely good though. Over priced in my opinion. Customer service is good. I asked for a metal spoon or knife and I might as well ask for some sort of surgery. It was like the most intricate question I have ever asked lol hahahahah. We will definitely go back.

Wr have a horrible experience with a team member. Upon entering she rolled her eyes . Reckon we are weekly customers and are familiar with most of the staff. We had an a specific incident as we placed our order and we were asked if there was anything else we assumed it was for the ice cream order she was currently making and proceeded to say no. As we went to pay we told her we weren't done ordering and rolled her eye yet again and said " that's why I said if there was anything else " she sighed real loud and rudely walked back to the ice cream bin. She made sure to charge us first before making our ice cream. She has a nose piercing is African American , wears fake eyelash and has and cross contaminating Apple Watch on as she proceeded to keep the same gloves on while making multiple orders . We will be coming back to the establishment, however will be requesting to be served by a different team member. Rude customer service

That alone made the experience feel thoughtful and welcoming. They are also open late, which I loved. I had already dined in the area, so this ended up being the perfect post dinner treat. I have been here before, but it had been a long time, and it was great to return and enjoy it again. The ambience was warm and inviting, and the overall environment made it easy to relax and enjoy the moment. I ordered a kid's cup, and it was honestly the perfect amount. Anything larger would have been too much for me, so the price point felt very fair for the portion and quality. I also tried the macaron and the tea. Both were fine but nothing standout for me. I have had better macarons and better tea elsewhere, and as someone who really appreciates good tea, it was decent but not something I would go back for specifically. That said, the gelato alone is absolutely worth returning for and even making a drive for. The space itself is very small and cozy, more of a boutique style spot. It is ideal for individuals, couples, or very small groups. Larger groups may prefer to enjoy their treats outdoors around the plaza and then move along, as this is more of a grab and go or short stay kind of place. Overall, I would definitely be back. The gelato is truly the star here and well worth it.

You may order online, in shop through a tablet, or with a person at the register. We used the register because we did not see the tablet and did not want to order ahead online. The ladies who helped us on our visit were very nice. You get a number and they call it when your made to order food is ready. We did not have to wait long. There was medium to low noisy ambiance. It was deserted when we arrived, but they have relatively loud background music. While we were eating it got pretty crowded. Mostly a lot of young people in the middle of the day on a Monday. The inside is small, seating both inside and outside are limited and close together. One lady was studying with her laptop, but there are no plugs. The breakfast sandwich is customizable. We got it on a croissant and with sausage. The eggs had a unique texture and the sandwich a unique flavor that we could not place, but both were very tasty. We also wanted a crepe, but we split the sandwich and it was sufficient. We also got a small mocha and a decaf, both were ok to good. We would definitely come back again and recommend that you give them a try for a crepe or sandwich. It is sad that a few Yelpers brought down their average to 3.8 stars due to petty and unjustified complaints such as having to pay for parking downtown. Other complaints are not the business' fault such as periodic homelessness--it is a downtown area in the US, other cities have far worse homelessness than Midtown Houston and we saw none on this visit. Additionally, complaints about takeout orders are mostly petty. Takeout is never as good as eating at the restaurant and so customers should adjust their expectations rather than dock the business stars. Nearly every recent Yelp review for this who ate at the restaurant gave 4-5 stars for food quality and customer service. Like most of the restaurants in this area it is a pretentious yuppy style place with specialized food. Although not usually our type of place (we like down to earth hole in the wall places with good food or taco truck type restaurants), Coco's is a solid 4 star restaurant for the type of place they are and they offered a 5 star experience on our visit. Again, recommend you give them a try if you are in the mood for crepes or sandwiches.

This was my first time coming here so my girlfriend and I ordered a fee items to get the full experience. We both ordered a beverage, i ordered a Vanilla Chai and she had the Caramel Cococcino. Both were very good. As for food, we ordered a Chicken Breakfast Sandwich(pictured), Cinnamon Roll Crepe (Pictured), Dulce De Leche Crepe with Almonds and Strawberries (pictured), and a strawberry cheesecake crepe (not pictured but looked like a normal crepe with powdered sugar). My favorites were the strawberry cheesecake and the cinnamon roll. My girlfriend's favorite was the Dulce De Leche and the strawberry cheesecake. Neither one of us cared for the breakfast sandwich too much, not sure if it was the wheat bread or the flavorless chicken. A couple of days ago we came back to try a couple of white mocha's and the breakfast sandwich again but with the Moroccan Sausage. We have determined-the breakfast sandwich will not be ordered anymore. But again the drinks were good. Overall, we will be back. The staff is nice, the drinks are good and so are the Crepes.
