Bad service and uncaring staff is why I feel 1 star is appropriate. Yesterday with my entree I received a raspberry French toast that had raspberry baked into the entree. It was good so today I went there and ordered this raspberry French toast for me and one order to go for my dad. My entree gets to me and it is utterly absent of raspberry so I tell the server when she comes over that there was a mistake and I don't care that mine is wrong but want to make sure that when my dad's is made correctly. When were getting ready to go she drops off the check and the to go order of raspberry French toast and I check it to make sure all is in good order. It's not.. rather than correct the original mistaken order and make the entree correctly, the cook staff decided to remedy the issue by simply putting raspberry on top of the toast. Now pretty annoyed I ask the waitress when she brings my debit card back what's the deal with these raspberry and if they normally bake the French toast with them or put them on the top so if I come back I know how to ask for them correctly. She tries to dodge my question by saying they recently got a shipment of the raspberry. So I ask her again and she tells me i need to specify whether i want them inside or out. Clearly seeing she is lying to my face and doesn't care either way I tell her that it's not very good business to mess up someone's order and then lie to them about it. She storms off and we get up to leave only to have the manager, Faith, come outside and yell at us from across the street that were no longer welcome.. because I guess that if they mess up your order it's your fault and you're the jerk in the situation. Bottom line is rather than remake my dad's to go entree correctly when It was obviously made incorrectly they decided to just throw some stuff on top and pass it as legit rather than take the time to actually care about their customers and then act like I'm the jerk when I called them on it. Only thing I don't understand was why the manager felt it was necessary to come outside and yell at us that we weren't welcome anymore as if we actually planned on returning to a business that behaves in such a fashion. read more

Best Eggs Benny in town! I love the service and atmosphere in this place. It is the perfect late morning Sunday especially if you add a mimosa bucket for only $15! Definitely Gresham's best spot. read more

This is my favorite go to place for breakfast in Gresham and all of East County. Trust me, you will not be disappointed.

STOP taking away our favorites the new Bloody Mary mix is nothing compared to how it used to be. You no longer have the best bloodys in town. And bring back chocolate milk. Seriously! I'm new to the Gresham area and saw this passing by. Me and a friend stopped by, I had the chicken fried skillet and she had the ednas. Really good food at a cheap price. I will definitely be coming back it was Wednesday they were somewhat busy and the wait staff seems happy and friendly. Had a pretty good experience at Sweet Betty's. Friendly staff and a good amount of food for the price. The place is a bit small so it doesn't have much seating. I ended up sitting at the bar and was next to the bussing bin and was getting splashed by food/drinks as they cleaned. It wasn't a big deal and I forgot about it quickly because of the great service read more

Great for breakfast and lunch. Small quirky place with decent food. Daily specials and really terrific service. Omelets and Scrambles are delicious. Also enjoy their breakfast burrito. Haven't had a sandwich that I didn't like and their Cobb salad is big. With a generous portion of chicken and toasted bread on the side. On weekends there will be a line out the door. If you're looking for an average place for breakfast, this is it. The food would have three stars. It was average, comparable to Sherry's. Priced reasonably. However, the service was lacking. The waitress took our order, delivered food and drinks then never came back to refill water or ask if we needed anything else, or how our food was. The waitress made it feel as if we were inconveniencing her when she took our order. Some of the worst service I have experienced in a while that I didn't even tip.... and I always tip. read more

Went in on a Thursday morning about 10am. Place was about half full with 2 wait staff roaming around the tables and one behind the bar. We stood at the door for 5 minutes waiting to be seated as this was our first time there and no sign saying seat yourself. All 3 of the wait staff made eye contact over the 5 minutes, however not a single one made any effort to come over and talk to us or seat us. We eventually turned around and walked out. The place is tiny and was never more than 10-15 feet away from the staff and not a single one of them offered to help us let alone talk to us. Will never be coming back here again...better options in the area that don't make me feel unwanted. If you want a really good breakfast try McRae's or Heidi's in Gresham. read more

Sweet Betty's is awesome! I have their Cobb salad at least once a week! Every time I have lunch here it's always super delicious! The lettuce is always fresh along with everything else you get on a Cobb salad. Chicken is never dry like I've had other places. Definitely one of my favs here in downtown Gresham! read more

Lovely restaurant that is highly underrated. Anything we try is delicious. The staff is wonderful, and the specials are always to die for. It can get quite crowded, but they always accommodate and get through the line pretty quickly. Definitely worth the wait though. read more

My husband and I were in town and went looking for a new breakfast place to have a date. We found Sweet Betty's. It was a great experience. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We never once had to flag anyone down for a refill or anything. The trivial pursuit cards at the table were a nice touch while waiting for our food. The food was okay. My husband got the strain and eggs and I got their special, the salmon Benedict. They were very accommodating and substituted gluten free bread for the English muffin and the dish was wonderful. I would definitely get it again. My husband's steak was a little overdone from what he requested but he still enjoyed it. read more

I got the crunchy apple french toast special, and it was pretty tasty. I had bacon with it, but the bacon tasted a little off.. I would go back again only IF I was in the area. The only thing I had a major problem with was a bratty little kid running around swinging a little broomstick and almost bopping me on the head SEVERAL times while I was eating. I shouldn't have to parent someone else's child and neither should the staff...but maybe let the parents know that their kid was swinging that broom around like some kind of uncoordinated ninja and almost hitting everyone around her. We were on a road trip from California and looked up on Maps 'breakfast' Sweet Betty's was on the suggested list and after reading reviews and looking at photos, we decided to go. We went at a popular time as it took us 15-20 to be seated which is not bad considering the place was packed. We were seated in a far corner so it was more quiet. Our waitress was super friendly. Our table wasn't checked on frequently which can be bad or good. My dad had to get up and find someone to order more food...yeah that's how much he loved the food that he had to order more. :) I ordered pancakes and an omelette with coffee. Super good and syrup was amazing. I wish I didn't live so far away to go more!!! read more

Based on the good reviews, my husband and I were excited to try a new breakfast place since good ones in our area are limited. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. The service was friendly and attentive, but the food was lacking. I ordered a potato dish, which was lukewarm at best. It was almost as if the potatoes were pre-cooked and then tossed together at the last minute with the rest of the ingredients. My husband noted that his omelette was very watery ( and he was right). I really wanted to like this place, but it's just not happening. read more

I was very excited to try Sweet Betty's about 2 years ago. Since then, it's been one of my favorite places to go for brunch, given that there isn't too many places in Gresham (that I know of). The atmosphere is cute, cozy, and kinda girly (perhaps the name Betty). Food comes in generous portions- enough to share between 2 people in my opinion. Staff is friendly; however, at times, they have a hard time organizing our orders and a bit slow at responding to people waiting for a table. During one of my Sweet Betty visits, my sister ordered their heart-attack burger, and YES- it looked like someone can literally have a heart attack after eating that burger. It was HUGE and packed with lots of meat! I felt like I was having a heart attack while I watched my sister eat that thing! I've tried most of their omelets and enjoyed them. However, I'm not a big fan of their biscuit and gravy (I'm a B&G-kinda girl when it comes to breakfast). The biscuit was hard and stale, not fluffy. And, there was nothing special about their gravy. I did wonder if it was just a one-time bad experience, but I hesitate to try it again, since they have so many other items. read more

I love coming here. It is my favorite place to get breakfast in Gresham. The decor is kind of hip and kooky. When you walk in you seat yourself. There is a variety of tables and booths to choose from as well as a patio if the weather is nice. The wait staff is very friendly and they get you set up right away. When I come here I rotate through 2 dishes. The chicken fried steak or Consuelo's scramble. The chicken fried steak is a hearty helping that comes with eggs, toast, and hashbrowns/home fries. The home fries are a heap of tender seasoned red potatoes, and the hashbrowns are your classic diner hash. I love the steak. I am super picky about the breading. I find a lot of chicken fried steaks to taste oily, but not this one! It has a delicious flavorful breading, and who doesn't want gravy slathered all over that puppy?! The Consuelo's scramble is what I get when I am craving variety. The scramble is packed with flavor, veggies, and sausage. There is a perfect layer of melty cheese on top. I don't know what seasonings they use, but it is one of tastiest scrambles that I have had. It is served with toast and hashbrowns/home fries. Come here for good service, good atmosphere and delicious breakfast/brunch. On the plus side I have brought several guests to the area here to show some of the fun culture of Gresham and everyone has always been happy with their experience. Excellent service (and I'm very picky about service), refilled my coffee and water constantly (which I appreciate very much, that's how you get a good tip from me), very good breakfast, loved the atmosphere.
