This was our first time trying Sweet Betty's at their new location. We were seated in a large booth, but unfortunately the seating area felt a bit worn out. There was some black duct tape holding parts of the booth together, and since the booths aren't anchored to the floor, ours would shift whenever the people behind us moved, which was a little distracting. The food was okay, but nothing really stood out. The scrambled eggs tasted watered down and lacked flavor. The pancakes themselves were good, but they came with quite a bit more butter than necessary. We also ordered the chicken fried steak, which was tasty, though the potatoes that came with it tasted like they may have been from the day before. I might consider coming back to sit at the bar for cocktails or happy hour, but for a full meal I'm not sure I'd rush back. That said, it could have just been an off day -- there was actually a wait for tables as we were leaving, so clearly the place has a following.

First time going here. Cute restaurant in a strip mall. Food was good. When I said I need to be gluten free and have celiac disease the manager came out and talked with me. We're able to quick clean a section of the grill before making my food to help with cross contamination. I got a side of scrambled eggs with cheese and the hash browns. Very good for simple breakfast. Large portions. My friend got the classic breakfast with French toast and a side of gravy. Got a classic mimosa. They have several flavors to choose from. Will definitely return.

Quick service, fantastic food, full bar, hidden gem cute patio. We will be back for the dinner menu soon.

Walking in, the place immediately gave off good vibes--big, bright, and flooded with natural light. The décor is cute and quirky without trying too hard. It was early Sunday afternoon, so of course there was a wait, but it was short enough that my "hangry" didn't kick in. We got seated at a long, cafeteria-style table, which was fine because there was plenty of space. Our server was fantastic--attentive, friendly, and made good suggestions. But honestly, the food stole the show. Hands down, best brunch I've ever had in Gresham--maybe even top tier of my life. I went with the egg sandwich: eggs over medium, cheddar, and extra-crispy bacon on rye. The bacon was so perfectly crisp but not greasy. The sandwich was huge. Normally I'm not a hash brown fan, but I noticed they had a special with plantains, so I swapped them in. Best choice ever. My husband ordered the eggs Benedict, my son got the classic breakfast with a pancake. We all left impressed and very full. We will definitely be back!

Sweet Betty's is always on point! Their specials are absolutely amazing and we are impressed every time. They are also really sweet, provide great service, and kid friendly.

Had breakfast at Sweet Betty's again over the weekend. One of my favorite breakfast spots in the PNW! Service Food: Positive Environment: Vibe! Great place to just hang out while having a great meal.

Sweet Betty's is by far the best breakfast spot in Gresham. The new owner is awesome. Raspberry swirl bread or cinnamon bread used for French toast and it's amazing. Staff is fab, feels like home

Sweet Betty's is one of our favorite spots in Gresham for breakfast or lunch! I love, love, love their Tuna fish sandwich! I'm also a fan of their Chicken Caesar Wrap. Do not miss their Clam Chowder on Fridays too! It rivals those from the Pacific coast. Betty's has a fun atmosphere that we enjoy. Love to dine and support restaurants where everyone feels welcomed & Betty's is just that. It's a Gresham staple, and we are thankful it has survived trying times during COVID. Hoping it will be around for a long time.

Yum. Great pancakes and awesome service. Add chocolate chips to the menu for those pancakes and I'll up this to 5 stars!

Cool little place with good food. Really liked my Stanley wrap, good pancakes and omelets. Fries were fresh but not crispy.

Two and a half star restaurant in PDX, four stars for Gresham. Prices are cheap. Full bar. Cute-ish atmosphere. Big menu. Fake sour cream.

Ask the Community - Sweet Betty's

Do they take reservations for groups of 20?

They don't take reservations. It's first come first serve.

So they allow dogs on the patio area?

They do, but when we went on a beautiful summer morning, they said that they "hadn't set up the patio because nobody requested it," so we had to leave our dog in the car. :-(

Aside from being a doofus and not noticing the 15 feet of menu on the wall opposite the counter, the place was warm and friendly and had the smell of a place I'd like to eat, (a little warm bread, a touch of cinnamon, and a hint of bacon.) I ordered the Hope's Mess with eggs over easy, a biscuit, and sausage patty and the youngster ordered the Huevos Rancheros. I was told that Hope was now living my wife's ideal life while her partner lived mine. Hope rolled in later and the partner was there first thing so she was not there. We got drinks as well and waited a perfectly reasonable time for our food. Rich, creamy country gravy, perfectly cooked eggs, good coffee. My companion enjoyed his food also, but since it's not my spouse, I didn't feel comfortable stealing a bite to report directly. Always a pleasure to stop in, bring a sticky bun home, and visit with nice people in the community.

Lots of mature patrons. ie. not young. Wife ordered the Denver omelette, I did the ribeye steak breakfast. Steak is marked as market price. At this time it means $29.95. Food came out pretty quickly. Sadly we had some problems. The ribeye cut is pretty thin. First time out came out raw in the middle, the refire cooked it too much. Quite a bit of fat on the cut. Not a huge fan and wouldn't order it again. Hash browns were not super warm, over easy eggs were fine. They offer two sizes of omelette, wife was going to get the full and take some home. Didn't specify and server didn't ask. Ended up getting the half omelette, evidently. OK. Don't really cook the veggies much and they were pretty crunchy. Again hash browns just warm. With tip meal was north of $55. Servers were friendly and accommodating Not sure we will return. Bummer

Not really I regretted I didn't have a bigger stomach. ;) There was no way I could finish my food in one setting. I got good old biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs. I feel I got a potful of sausage and gravy instead of a ladleful. I couldn't find my biscuits for a few seconds. I also got a side order of sausage. Yea it was too much. Overall five stars. Great tasting stick to your bones meal. Even when it's reheated. The service was on the spot. She worked hard and kept smiling the whole time. And for the price well, well, WELL worth it.
