I have been going here for 20 years, back since Elvis was there. The environment there used to be so fun. Now, this place has gotten horrible with customer service. 2 weeks ago we were there with friends and the service was horrible and what happened today, made me walk out of there immediately and will never go back. I know lots of people that eat there too and will be letting them know about what went down, at lease 40 people. I took my 3 kids there today to enjoy some sushi. There was a family sitting there with they're 2 children on a big table. There was another table 10 feet away but they said it is too close for some reason, so they asked us to seat by the bars on 2 separate tables. They said that the 2 doing all you can eat have to sit on one table and the other 2, my 11 year old and 5 year old on another table. I told the older lady I need my 5 year old to sit with me so I can keep an eye on her and she got all upset and raised her voice and said that I need to follow her rules like she thinks I am going to give my 5 year old from my all you can eat order. How are you going to tell a parent to sit separate from her younger children just cause you have trust issues. She was so rude that my 11 year old even said that she doesn't want to eat here anymore. I used to love this place. Went all the time for the all you can eat (was $20-$25, now its $35+). They have always been very VERY rude, but I ignored that because I enjoyed their sushi. I went over the weekend for the first time in awhile. Absolutely horrible. The sushi rolls were wrong, customer service was still trash, still rude as ever, the fish wasnt fresh AT ALL. So I was super excited to try another all you can eat sushi spot and that's all they really got going for them. The restaurant itself is kinda clean but dose not give a good sushi spot feeling. The complex it self is on a weird corner and is kinda hard to turn left out of. But you can sit down and eat and feel comfortable. The only reason I am giving at least 1 star is for freshness of sushi. Other than that, this place deserves no star at all for customer service. A man with thick black glasses (pants with either bleach stain or white paint) saw us enter, no greeting, not even saying "hi." We wanted 'all you can eat' so we wrote down #s next to the item for 1st round. He took away the paper immediately and never gave back for another round. So we had to ask for it every time. When he brought our 1st round, he would never respond to our thanks. He was very blunt, no smile, no personality at all as if he didn't like us being there. We had 2nd round but for the 3rd round, (after all, it is all you can eat right?) he gave me such dirty look when I asked for the paper. As I was writing down items to order, he basically threw the food on top of the paper I was writing on. His attitude was like, "ok, just eat this and f**k off. A lady (either owner or rude man's wife) was not pleasant either. We didn't order 3rd round and just left. He didn't even deserve a tip but we were kind enough to leave him tips. Still there was no "bye" or "thank you" from anyone! (4 people working) Yes, they advertise 'all you can eat' but basically they stand by and monitor. This is a great place if you need a sushi fix. They offer an option for all you can eat for only $31, so it is a good value if you can eat a lot of sushi. There are some rules to the all you can eat, so make sure you read the fine print before ordering it. The menu is pretty diverse and there are many different options. On average the specialty rolls are around $15, so best bang for your buck is all you can eat. The staff is very friendly and orders come out promptly. I have been here a few times and don't have any complaints, other than maybe having a food coma afterward. If you are in the area and wanting to eat sushi, this is the place to go. Not only did they get 3 of the 7 items completly wrong, items that were supposed to be hot (agdashe tofu and sauce and tempura) were cold. We come here for the all you can eat sushi. Which, is really delicious. The Cody Roll & Upside Down Shrimp are my favorite. The wait staff - the women aren't like, horrible. But they're not personable. I don't necessarily have a problem with them since I'm there for the sushi, not for the conversation. One thing that really bothered me though was that they charged my 7 year old as an "adult" and when I told them that she is 7, they extremely disapproving looks at each other and muttered in Spanish. It was extremely rude. And I get it, some people try to pay less with children. But you didn't have to look at me like that ESPECIALLY because my child is legally and physically 7 years old. This is one of those rare circumstances where you wish you could sue someone for how terrible the customer service was. My sister for her birthday decided she wanted to eat here. Knowing that the restaurant was smaller she called in advance to ask if they were able to accommodate our party of 13 people. We specifically asked if they would honor the all you can eat sushi if we weren't at the bar. We thought this was the courteous thing to do. It would be rather unfair that our whole party take up the entire bar and only a few of us actually order all you can eat. We would be doing a disservice to them and their guests who came to eat all you can eat, deacreasing their income and customer service at the same time. We showed up and were told that what we were told on the phone wouldn't be honored. Essentially they thought once we were there that we would just be fine with being lied to? My sister asked about the times they let it slide that they got all you can eat at one of the other tables when the bar was full. Instead of reasoning with us and coming a solution that would accommodate us, she decided to take a hard stance. We were devastated. Why would I reward a business that decided to treat us poorly? Why would I reward a business that would purposely turn away business because it didn't fit their rules; because they're so sure we were going to cheat them on their all you can eat. I found my way here after a long day at work, in search of the legendary "all-you-can-eat sushi" that I had heard tell about. I actually think the price worked out to be about the same as if I had just gotten the rolls 'a la carte', and then I wouldn't have felt guilty about getting some 'lower value' type items like miso soup, so I wonder if the all-you-can-eat deal might be a bit of a trap if your appetite can't manage to put away like four full-size rolls in an hour or something. But that is nothing more than a lesson for next time, because the sushi was delicious! I tried the Elvis roll based on previous Yelp reviews, which was amazing--it had some sort of crunchy bit inside that I couldn't quite place, although I think it was what they were calling the "crystal shrimp" that may have been fried. I also tried the "mountain roll", which was similar but with cuts of sashimi on top and then some shredded surimi on top of that, and was also similarly delicious. I didn't think I actually had room for a third roll after that, so I went with some salmon nigiri and some unagi [eel] nigiri; the salmon was good, with a generously sized cut of sashimi, but the unagi was amazing--the chef heated up the fish in a little broiler under the counter before he put it on the rice, and it was incredible what it did for the flavor. I was seated at the sushi bar and didn't have any of the service issues that other people have reported, though the sushi chef was certainly more attentive than the one waitress that was there. So, while my ordering strategy might be different next time, I would return with no reservations. Keep in mind, though, that unless you can eat more than three large rolls of sushi in one sitting, the all-you-can-eat is not that great a deal. (Also, a random observance: Not only is there no 'free wi-fi', but the entire shopping center seems to be a dead zone for cell reception, so don't come expecting to do much with your smartphone. I looked at their ala carte prices and noticed they were priced on the "higher" side for sushi. Since it was my first time here, I opted for the all you can eat option. I ordered 5 nigiri pieces. Each nigiri had so much rice that I removed some of the rice from each pieces. Not knowing there was a policy about removing rice, the lady waitress rudely told me that I couldn't remove the rice or else she would charge me ala carte price. I mean I get it, it's an all you can eat place and they want to carb you up so you would eat less = more profit. The waitress comment ruined my whole experience with the restaurant. It would had been nice if the waitress would had told me about the policy from the beginning. After the comment, I ended up paying for my ala carte nigiri and left.
