I came to Sushi Pop for a weekday dinner with my friend and really enjoyed it! They menu consists of a variety of sushi rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and a few rice bowls and noodle dishes if you're not feeling sushi. I ordered the Euclid roll and enjoyed it! We were also given tempura that had stuffed imitation crab in it on the house and thought that was very good (and so nice of them!). Service here is super friendly and attentive. The store itself is on the casual side, but is cozy. When I came on a weekday at around 7, there was no wait. It is located in a strip mall with a lot of parking. Overall, this is a solid sushi spot!

Amazing sushi!!!! Flavorful and delicious. They offer spicy mayo and sriracha sauce. I brought my own peanut sauce it tastes soooooooo good!!!!

After a movie with the grandkids, they really wanted to get some sushi. We looked on Yelp, and this spot had decent reviews and was super close by, so we decided to try it out. The kids had a California roll, a poke bowl, and shrimp tempura. I tried the Alaskan roll and the udon soup. Everything was good, although a bit on the pricier side. The service is friendly and quick, and the restaurant has a comfortable atmosphere.

Stated that wait time was 20 minutes have been waiting over 40 minutes. Was about to get seated by one employee, but female employee intervened and made us wait an additional 30 minutes. Mind you there are empty tables and we are holding a 1 year old infant. Wish all employees would be more considerate of their customers. To top it off I over heard a table raising a concern about their meat being undercooked. Get more staff please, do better. This place has gone DOWNHILL. Last time we visit this place until they can hire more employees

my personal favorite and most popular Review I had such a great experience here. The sushi was incredibly fresh, beautifully prepared, and served warm and timely--exactly how you want it when you're craving something satisfying. Every dish came out with consistent quality, and you can tell the kitchen takes pride in what they serve. Our waiter was truly exceptional. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without ever feeling overbearing. They checked in at the perfect moments, made great recommendations, and kept everything flowing smoothly. It really elevated the whole dining experience. Overall, delicious food, great service, and a place I'd happily come back to. I've passed by this restaurant on numerous occasions and stopped by for the first time today. Our waiter Haram (very sweet albeit the name haha) was so sweet and attentive. The restaurant has a fun lively atmosphere especially with their 90s and 80s hits playlist. We ordered the poke bowl, sashimi bowl and the lobster dynamite bowl. Usually poke bowls at sushi places are quite small with the spare cuts of meat. To my surprise there was plenty of fish, perfect amount of yummy sauces, and a large portion. The food was beautifully presented as well. The fish itself wasn't the freshest (mom and I went 6pm Thursday). They even served us quite a large portion of ice cream, and 2 sushi pieces on the house.

Very Friendly and welcoming as we can in! Very contemporary setting...The food was very good and more importantly, we'll be back...my wife ordered the Chilean Seabass which was perfectly cooked and the flavor was amazing. I ordered the poke salad and soy paper wrapped spring rolls which were a very good substitute for "no rice" sushi!! They comp'd us "James special'", I won't spoil the surprise to tell you what it is, but it may be my next order when we return! Ps: the plating and presentation was really done well!! read more

Omg...where do I begin. I came to visit Mt daughter and she wanted sushi...I found this place on yelp of course and after reading the reviews we decided to try it. AMAZING. . My daughter ordered the baked lobster roll at 15.95 and the Hawaiian roll was 14.95. I had the lunch special with grilled teriyaki chicken 14.95. The lobster roll was absolutely divine. It had so much lobster on it...the flavor was amazing. It was fresh and very inviting. I would order this many times over. We loved the Hawaiin roll too. I do not like raw fish...but my daughter had me try this and what a treat. It was so fresh and wonderful. The inside has crab meat and avocado. It just might convince me to eat raw fish once in a while. My lunch special was good. The miso soup...absolutely delicious. I live miso soup and this did not disappoint. The tempura was light and wonderful and the dipping dance was a great addition. The chicken was so good with the teriyaki sauce..it was hot and fresh with some sesame seeds on top. I would for sure order this again. If you love fresh sushi...this place will not disappoint read more

As a picky eater, I loved this place. The fish is SO fresh with big servings of fish and big rolls. I was so impressed by the quality and the presentation was beautiful! Excellent service! I showed up early for pickup and were able to bag my order early, even with what looked like a busy lunch day! The Euclid roll was amazingly spicy with a very flavorful heat. Adding the generous portion of wasabi provided, my eyes started to sweat in the best possible way (if you like some heat of course). The whole place felt clean and neat with a lively atmosphere and simple decor. I'll have to come back next time I'm in the area. Thanks for a great meal folks! read more

He was attentive and really nice with all of our requests. + There was no wait during lunch on a Saturday. + Plenty of parking + Backstory of why I came here - I called Sake 2 Me (In Cerritos) and was told there was an hour wait and wouldn't get any better the rest of the afternoon. I looked up more AYCE Sushi places, and this one caught my attention. I was overall very pleased with my experience here and the quality of the food. The lunch AYCE is $22.99. I'll definitely be back here in the future. | CONS | - There was a sign on the window that supported first responders and offering 20% off the TOTAL BILL. It specifically states this on the sign in bold/red font. When we inquired about this, we were told that they recently decided to change it so the 20% applies to just one person's meal. We let it go as I didn't want to make it a big deal. However, I do not think this is a good way to support those first responders. It was very misleading. read more

What I CAN tell you is that everything was delicious. We ordered several different rolls and every single one came out fresh, beautifully presented, and loaded with toppings. There was a little bit of everything -- spicy, crunchy, creamy, fresh fish, avocado, crispy toppings -- and not one roll disappointed. We clearly ordered like we were feeding a small village, but somehow managed to put a serious dent in all of it. The portions were generous, the fish tasted fresh, and nothing felt skimpy. Service was friendly and everything came out quickly. Definitely one of those places where you leave saying, "Okay, we're coming back here." And I see why my cousin loves this place. We ended up here based on the mostly positive Yelp reviews we read. Initially we were seated at a table right near the sushi bar. One of the sushi chef's kids was standing on the sushi bar (not kidding), making tons of noise and throwing soy sauce bowls on the ground. I love kids and can exercise patience when dealing with them, but this was ridiculous. We changed tables twice until we were seated as far away from the sushi bar as possible. Even after it was made painfully obvious why we were moving tables, the sushi chef and his wife continued to allow the kid to make tons of noise and keep throwing things around. We ordered the $20 AYCE special, mostly because it made the most financial sense. I stayed pretty simple and ordered a variety of sushi and a seaweed salad. Everything was pretty yummy and fresh tasting. My boyfriend tried a bunch of the rolls and was pretty happy overall. The decor was kind of strange....each table had a giant balloon hanging from it which just ended up getting in the way. Food: 4 stars. Ambiance: Strange, not very inviting. Felt more like a quick serve place than a restaurant. Screaming child (of an employee) that no one cared enough to make stop...deal breaker. 0 stars. Price for AYCE: Pretty good deal. 4 stars. First time here after reading all the positive reviews in yelp. Came in for the AYCE dinner and seated after a short 15 wait. Servers greeted my party and immediately offered a complimentary appetizer and all the goodies. Foods are very well prepared and love the presentation. I ordered mostly nigiri and the fish are fresh. Only issue is the rice to fish ratio is a little more towards the rice. 4 stars. They have a limit for sashimi offering. Only one per person for salmon, ahi tuna, yellowtail, seared albacore and seared tunas. A little dry on the albacore and tuna, but the no rice options are a huge plus. They also have halibut and large scallops for premium which is also included in the AYCE. Something to die for. 5 stars for that. Service wise is descent. My water cup was always topped off, and servers check us out occasionally, considering only 2 servers available for the floor the whole time. Another 5 star. They also let my party know since we're ordering a lot so expect a longer service time, which I understand and didn't bother me at all. Overall experience is superb and I appreciate their kindness giving us an extra mochi ice cream at the end. Thus a 5 stars review. read more

My friend and I were here on Saturday for sushi. As we sat down, friendly servers gave us soy beans and explained they have all you can eat sushi and regular menu. They have Sashimi, sushi, hand rolls as well as appetizers and non sushi menu. My friend ordered all you can eat and I ordered Rock N Roll, Sushi Pop Roll and some sushi. Service was quick and we got our foods really fast. 2 Sushi chefs and servers were professional and very friendly. My friend told me sushi was so fresh and rolls with nice decoration were amazing. Personally, I liked my Rock N Roll. I like the sauce, it tasted great, i don't know why two people are complaining about the sauce... I ordered few sushi, thy were fresh with reasonable amount of rice. At the end, they gave us small green tea ice cream for free!!!!! The price was good too. 5-Star Review - Sushi Pop Fullerton Sushi Pop Fullerton continues to be one of our absolute favorite places to eat. The food is always incredible, the service is consistently welcoming, and the atmosphere feels like a true family dinner every time we walk through the door. We highly recommend the Caliente Roll and the Hotty Hotty Roll. They are both are packed with flavor and always perfectly prepared. Their ramen is also one of the best around! One thing that sets Sushi Pop apart is how kid-friendly and family-friendly they are. Our whole crew feels right at home here, and that's something you don't find everywhere. This restaurant is always changing. It's a great location but unfortunately the food did not follow suit. The first thing you notice about this place is the 50% off everything sign. Or, you think that'd be the first thing you notice but somehow my wife and I both missed it entirely. So, you can imagine our surprise when we sat down at the bar and started looking over the menu. "$7 for 2 pieces of nigiri?! $10 for a hand roll?!? $6 FOR A COKE??!" We were both in growing disbelief as we went down the menu, but it wasn't until I hit the coke that I realized something was off. That's when I looked at the front window and made out a sign that read" 50% off..." and that's when it clicked. "Discount" aside, the food was just average and not worth going back for. The place was packed though. Judging from the outside, you'd think they have some amazing fish but for what it's worth, neither of us was wowed. The servers were SUPER friendly though, 5 stars easily. This is the only reason I feel bad giving an "OK" review. But just like their pricing model, I had to take 50% off. I was in the area for work and decided to pop into this spot for a quick bite. I ordered the sashimi salad, and at first, I was like, "$20 for a salad? Really?" But let me tell you--it was SO worth it. The amount of fish they give you is super generous, and it was incredibly fresh. Like, melt-in-your-mouth fresh. The flavors were on point, and it actually filled me up, which is saying a lot for a salad. Also, major props to the waiter! It was the lunchtime rush, and even though he had a few other tables, he was super attentive and made sure I had everything I needed. The servers were clearly running around but they seemed so energetic and happy to answer our questions, ( our 2nd eating sushi so we had a lot of questions). Our server recommended ordering a few rolls for ourselves since it would not be worth it to get the AYCE so we ended ordering Lobster Dynamite and the Alaskan roll. The Lobster Dynamite took a little tie to come out but considering how busy it was it was pretty quick! The roll was so nicely presented that I had to snap a quick pic before extinguishing the flame in the middle! LITERALLY FIRE! The Alaskan was really good too! Nice place! Not many clean all-you-can-eat places in the OC area to begin with especially one that has great food and etiquette service to match with it. Average ayce pricing for lunch and dinner. But above average quality of fish and freshness of ingredients, compared to that, the pricing is very affordable and quite cheap. I had a difficult time deciding which rolls to choose for each of my rounds since I wanted the best ones for my first time experience here. So our server (Sang, was his name!) helped so much with that, he was friendly and took his time to inform us in detail about the popularity and taste of some of the rolls. Came here with my family for some early lunch. The place was packed and saw that everyone was super busy. which is a good sign cuz that means the business is good ! The servers did take a little of their time but i couldnt blame them. They were working their butts off. Sean made sure to answer all of our questions and this other server made sure to check up on us every time he passed by. The food was amazing and came out super fast despite it being busy ! Highly recommened the lobster dynamite becuase that rolls literally on fire ! Overall a very good experience and couldnt recommened this place more. The experience at Sushi Pop was very interesting. One of our servers was amazing and really tried to cater to what rolls we wanted. This place is not the best sushi location for vegetarian rolls, but they did try to customize our rolls to what we wanted, which I really appreciate. The rolls itself were fine but not great. They looked beautiful but the flavor was bland and the sushi rice lacked flavor. Their hot sauce was also not great. It tasted slightly sweet, and I did not enjoy the sauce with the rolls. I took couple of my friends to this restaurant on Friday night and I was a bit surprised because it was crowded. Considering the fact that it was opened 2 months ago, they were doing really good. They got the liquor license so they now serve beer, sake, and wine. Even though it was crowded, service was quick and the food was great. Daniel and MJ were very entertaining and nice. I am very picky about Sushi because its raw food and if they use cheap or bad fish, i will get sick but this place knows how to satisfy my high expectation. Traditionally, a collagen-rich ramen broth will develop a gelatinous consistency when chilled. This new broth remains surprisingly liquid. Another thing that stood out during our visit was how empty the restaurant was. I couldn't help but wonder whether the changes to the food have something to do with it. Of course, I can't speak for other customers, but if longtime patrons are noticing the same decline in quality, perhaps it's worth reconsidering the recipe changes. It's disappointing to see a place I previously enjoyed move away from what made its ramen so good in the first place. I genuinely hope they bring back the original broth.
