The sushi in this restaurant is incredible! The ingredients are fresh and their specialty rolls are very unique and tasty as well! Our personal favorite was the Valentine Roll, as it had the best taste and had a memorable appearance as well, as it was pink! The staff were very efficient and the service was so quick! I highly recommend this restaurant! Also important to note, the rolls are usually between $5-10 for the regular rolls and $12-$15 for the specialty rolls, which makes their sushi quite affordable. They also have an " all you can eat" sushi for $36, but as we didn't eat more than one or two rolls per person, that didn't seem worth it to us.

I've been to Sushi Masa probably 6 times in the last year since they opened and what started as an amazing deal for good sushi has sadly fallen off hard. I understand that buffets need to be profitable but this is the first time I've had the leftover extra charge actually used as a threat **while still eating my meal** not to mention that the fish quality has suffered. During my last visit I noticed that they redesigned the menu with new restrictions, specifically on sashimi. There is now a 20 piece per fish type restriction for each order. Which is fair since you can just order more on the next round (no more 60 salmon sashimi orders for me lolol). But what leaves a bad taste is that even when we ordered within their restrictions, we received less than what we ordered. At a table of 10 adults at two tables, and we were told that the restriction was per table, so we could order two times (so 40 pieces). We did that and received less than 20. Again not the worst since it's all you can eat. I give it a pass since we still got most of our order. We then ordered a large plate of nigiri, which we gladly began eating. The server then brings out another identical plate which we respond by saying we are already currently eating it and didn't order a second one, literally pointing to the plate on our table. After talking to the manager the server says we have to eat it or get charged. Next, we ordered a large order of hand rolls. First round was great, delicious. Decided to order the exact same thing again, but the spider hand roll that came with cucumbers the first time didn't the second. Plus the rice to fish ratio was obviously changed so there was more rice now. We could tell the manager was unhappy with us and was trying to limit the food brought to our table. It's a buffet, par for the course that we will put in big orders. Don't reciprocate with a poor attitude that begrudgingly gives us portions of food smaller than what we ordered. If we are going to waste food we'll pay for it gladly. But we actually know our limits and while we order big, we eat big and finish what we order. I want to brush this off as a one time bad experience but I doubt I'll be back after this. Disappointed that a restaurant I liked so much has changed for the worse. I still give it 3 stars since the food was okay not great, but the attitude from the manager is what dragged this experience way down.

First time here...and Sidney made sure it was a five star visit. She was very attentive to our table and made sure we were satisfied. Food was excellent. Sashimi pieces were somewhat sliced smaller than what I'm used to. The LSU roll was great and I had to reorder it to enjoy it again. It's a nice big restaurant that seems well maintained. Definitely worth the price!

Walked into Sushi Masa in Plano for the first time and grabbed a seat at the bar. The bartender was super friendly and outgoing , which made me feel right at home. There was a chatty couple sitting next to me, we all starting talking, it's was such a fun vibe. The bartender gave us some recommendations on what to order. Every dish was tasty, and I loved most of the portions was small, perfect for trying a little bit of everything. The biggest surprise, the Sashimi was included in all you can eat MENU ! Didn't expect that and it totally made my night . Definitely coming back for more good food and good company!

My new favorite AYCE sushi near home! Took the family here on a Wednesday night and surprisingly a decent dinner crowd. Short 15min wait for table for 4. Wait was worth it. Service was quick with taking orders and food coming out. Food came out less than 10min after placing our order. Decent selection for appetizers, cooked entrees, sushi, sushi rolls, and sashimi. AYCE dinner comes with free fountain drinks and dessert! Highlights had to be yellow tail sashimi. Melt in your mouth delicious. Rolls were good but caution because ordering can get you full quick! Lastly, try the fried rice! I think they put butter in the fried rice!

For the price, I would come back. The quality is good enough for an AYCE. If you're really into omakase and top tier sushi, maybe skip this spot but if you want to indulge in some seafood/ craving salmon, it's a great spot.

I went here a while back on 9/11/25 but forgot to make a review. To start our server at the time Maddison, was the GOAT, told him we were here hungry and he kept coming back for orders and orders. It was a weekday at around 3 so not busy, and we got our food pretty quick each round. sushi quality was nice and really enjoyed. My favorite roll there was the i-10 roll with the mango slices on top; still thinking about it to this day. However since then, I heard the place has gone kind of downhill, but am not speaking from experience. Probably gonna go check it out again.

Personally for me, this place is a wonderful place if you want decent all-you-can-eat sushi for a reasonable price. If you do the all-you-can-eat, you do get a complimentary drink (1 alcoholic drink or soda). There's really not a limit to how many pieces you want to order but you do get charged if you waste food. I'd say the only thing I'm not a fan of here is the noodles. The tuna and salmon are sublime.

PSA: They no longer do lunch AYCE prices on the weekends starting this month. Today I took my friend to sushi masa because last time I went they still had lunch AYCE pricing on the weekends which was around $21.95 per person. They must've quietly changed it because every table that got sat around us had the same question for the servers. The waiter informed me that they stopped doing it starting this month which was a bummer because it was such a great deal. Now on the weekends the AYCE price for lunch and dinner time is $34.95. We ended up still doing the AYCE option because their sushi is pretty great quality. I feel like we ate our money's worth despite the price increase and left satisfied. Their salmon is so buttery, I love it! We went on Sunday at noon and there was no wait. The restaurant itself is spacious and started filling up a bit closer to 1pm. There is also a lot of parking here.

Was referred here by a friend, and glad they told me about this restaurant! The location is perfect. Lots of parking and close to willow bend mall. Came here with several friends and was impressed with how clean and welcoming the staff was! This was the first visit for us! We had the best waitress ever Nami! It was Nami's 1st day too. We were so lucky to be paired with her! She was an incredible person. Nami made this visit additionally memorable. Our table was kept clean and she anticipated our needs before we even knew what we needed. The lunch menu of AYCE for $21.95 was very generous. Make sure all your guests are on board with the AYCE. No leftovers or takeout are allowed. Otherwise, you will be charged Ala carte. Those are the rules. It's important everyone respects them, therefore as consumers we don't see an increase in price for the lunch menu! I think we ate almost everything on the lunch menu. Including doubles of something's. Impressive! Don't come alone to enjoy the AYCE, this is a shared menu to reap the benefits! Love this place! April 2025

Recently visited this place to try their AYCE sushi and I'm definitely going back!! I went for lunch and you can actually order lunch or dinner price (bigger menu). Dinner includes sashimi and more rolls and other things but I felt like there were plenty of good options for lunch already. I can't remember the names of all the rolls we ordered except for Rainbow Roll. Plenty of appetizers to choose from as well. Overall the quality is there but they are definitely strict about charging for leftovers. We had some left and were wanting to take it home. They would charge for waste or charge for you to take it back so keep that in mind when you order. I just say that because not all restaurants who claim there'll be charges for waste actually follow through. The place has a nice ambiance and it's big. Everything is made fresh. Definitely worth visiting especially if you're looking for AYCE!

Happy this franchise is in DFW now. Masa is one of the few ayce places that has infinite sashimi with possibly one the best ayce out here. This is not a buffet and is made to order so the food isn't laying there all day. I've been to Tokyo one, Osaka, Japan house, Damu, sushi Yokohama, and this is by far the best in terms of pricing and quality. The speed at which the food was extremely fast, with it coming out within 5 mins. The pacing for the meal was great since there was no downtime. Stopped here on Good Friday - place was busy, but bar was wide open - 3 seats occupied. We were told wait was at least 40 min - and when I asked if we could take 2 of the 10 or so open bar seats we were told they weren't available - do yourself a favor and go some other place there are so many amazing sushi spots around - this is not one of them. read more

Aside from being some of the best sushi we've had in the Dallas area, the all-you-can-eat lunch special is an absolute steal at $21.95 per person. You get full access to their sushi menu, appetizers, sides, kitchen and a la carte menus, and desserts. We were blown away by the quality and taste of every item including multiple sushi rolls, gyoza, shumai, salads, miso soup, and green tea ice cream. Our server, Gio, was very attentive and accommodating. The ambiance was clean, modern, and not loud at all. I have recommended this place to everyone I know that enjoys sushi, you have to come try it at least once. You'll definitely want to come back, just like us. read more

Went by on a busy Saturday early evening and we were seated right away! Staff was very nice and their menu was huge! Restaurant was clean and there were people all over the place. Only thing was that I wish our waiter had checked on us more often (honestly I couldn't find him half the time) but they were so busy that he probably was also helping in another area. All the sushi was very fresh and the rolls were so tasty. Highly recommend!! read more

This is my family's go to place when we craving for some Sushi. The foods are good and fresh. Only wish the appetizers portion is bigger, but you can always reorder it again. Our service staff, Andy, is extremely nice and always check back to refill our drinks and ask if you need to order any more food. Highly recommend! read more

This a MUST GO TO SUSHI PLACE! The all you can eat menu offered by the restaurant is the best deal you can find, considering the excellent quality of food you will receive. The menu features fresh and expertly prepared sushi, each bursting with flavor and creativity. From classic favorites like Nigiri to more innovative offerings like their signature rolls. The salmon and tuna here are so fresh and I mean it! I feel like I'm in heaven every time I eat them! And I really want to give a shout out to our server, Andy, for his amazing service. I was served with a smile and politeness. You can really order anything he recommends and you won't be disappointed. We'll be back soon. Andy It was so delicious my girlfriend and I were so focused on eating that we forgot to take a picture of our food. I think I gained 3 lbs from that one meal, lol. read more

I did AYCE option. Waited over ten min for round of order which was just few pieces of sushi since I wanted to try before order bigger amount . Then I was told to order kitchen menu because there was a birthday party and they are ordering sushi.. what? There was three of us and we ordered 1piece of shrimp sushi each-as they allow you to order just 1per person at a time- and it came out 2piece,, I told the server but kept on happening to another round of orders which was so annoying! I went on weekday lunch,, can't imagine for weekend or evening. Won't go back read more

Now that I have discovered this place I can't get enough. I went again Saturday and our server Emiliano was once again excellent. I went again Monday with my daughter so she could experience it and was treated with the same great experience. This time our server was Ellie and she was wonderful. It's really hard for me to write this one as I've been going since they've opened here. Sushi Masa used to be one of my favorite AYCE sushi/Japanese spots in Plano but they've changed... The prices increased for lunch price from $19.99 to $22.99 (no more drink included) and dinner from $34.99 to $36.99. Not a big deal but for me the value isn't there anymore with the quality being the real dealbreaker. It's gone down noticeably and management knows what they're doing with it. First off, they add red dye to the tuna for some reason which they've done since since the beginning. But now I can't even say it's a regular spicy tuna mix like you'd find everywhere. It's a completely watered down red paste. You can't justify this any way at a regular sushi place or even an AYCE. I wasn't a huge fan of their fish quality in their sushi/sashimi to begin with so I would usually order the hot Japanese dishes which are usually great. But this last time I went for lunch, they were also disappointing. The beef fried rice had very little flavor and I ended up adding the liquid (not sure why there was so much) from the beef Yaki udon to it to give it more. Both beef portions had less than 5 really small pieces of beef and were mostly just rice or noodles. The sushi rolls and nigiri here are also like this. The service is usually decent unless you're going for dinner and it's packed. The ambiance is normal and what you'd expect from a higher-end restaurant. What I don't understand is if you show up for lunch or dinner and the place is almost empty, they still make you wait for a server. If you're in it for the fish quality and nigiri and sashimi, better go to Sushi Yokohama. The AYCE there is slightly more expensive but worth every penny. read more

For AYCE sushi, quality is solid. Some of the fish did taste a little "fishy" but for the most part, it tasted good. There are a lot of other options outside of sushi and the cost feels reasonable. It can get packed quickly on the weekend so be prepared to wait a little. read more

I've been back to this place no less than 5 times since they opened. The food is so good and fresh and the service is always spectacular. I love that they have an option to do no rice in their sushi rolls, for when you're slightly full but still want to try new rolls on the AYCE menu. read more

sooooo good! $34 per person for all you can eat sushi plus it includes one alcoholic beverage!! Just wish our stomachs could hold more so we could try everything. We went on a really busy Saturday and had to wait for about 30 mins. Wasn't bad at all considering how packed it was. The staff was kind and professional. Our server Doug was so sweet and very attentive especially for how busy it was! Definitely can't wait to come back and try more things. read more

So I came for the "All You Can Eat" lunch.. I've never seen so many options for such a great price. This is a great way to sample everything, just be sure to finish it or else you'll be charged. Service was outstanding and had a beautiful ambiance to it. Loved it! read more

However, Sushi Masa was different. There's no buffet line with pre-made items sitting out. Instead, they give you a menu, and you can order as much as you like, round after round. There's no limit, though they do ask that you avoid wasting food, as leftover items are charged at à la carte prices. This wasn't an issue for us. Since you're ordering directly from the menu, everything is freshly prepared. We never felt like any dish had been sitting out or was being reused, which made a noticeable difference in quality. We paced ourselves, ordering small portions each round until we were full. The kids enjoyed it too, even trying sashimi for the first time. The quality of the food was much better than expected! Fresh, flavorful, and well-presented. When we ordered, the staff didn't flinch or make us feel like we were overdoing it. Service was decent, they cleared plates quickly, and we never felt rushed. If you go with the buffet, you get free refills on regular drinks or one alcoholic beverage. We opted for the hot sake, which was a nice touch.
