Ok I see why this place is so highly rated. This has become my new sushi spot. This sushi is so fresh and delicious. You can't get better in Long Beach. We got our order to go and they packaged it perfectly so the flavors didn't mix all over each other. We LOVED the nigiri. Super fresh fish. Great quality. The cut rolls were also delicious. Not a crazy amount of sauce or anything so we could enjoy all the flavors. I absolutely loved their spicy crispy tuna rice (which is not spicy at all). The shumai were the only thing that I thought could have had more flavor, but still very solid option. And of course we got the baked salmon roll which was very good if you like baked sushi. We will definitely be coming back here anytime we want sushi. The inside of the restaurant was well done, it's a nice casual spot on 2nd street so keep that in mind for parking. But it's worth it.
Ordered takeout & it was prepared quickly and it packaged nicely! Everything we ordered was amazing. Fresh and great portions. Our favorites were the Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice, salmon sashimi and Garlic chili roll.
An immediate go to sushi joint! Tell me what you don't like about this place... I'll wait. Friendly service, tempura that came out piping hot just seconds from the cooking, delicious and succulent fish, and flavorful tastes all around. As a visitor to the area every so often, I'm delighted to find this place and look forward to returning!
SO GOOD!! We stumbled upon this place and were initially attracted to the big fish inside with the many menus available for viewing on the windows. We were so happy to walk in and eat the best sushi. We ordered the seared yellowtail TWICE! It was so delicious. The garlic chili roll was yummy yet the Long Beach roll was even better. We even tried the green mussels and it was BOMB! Service was so welcoming and kind it made us wanna go back whenever we are in the area! Go try it!!!

We were on our way to Saint & Second and as we were driving down Second St we seen @Sushi. We immediately decided we wanted sushi instead. We were all happy with this choice. This place has extremely fresh and tasty appetizers and sushi rolls. We're all definitely coming back. They have mostly inside seating but do have a small little patio. Unsure if people actually eat out there. They have a tv which was nice because we were able to catch the end of the Rams/Bears game last night. Very clean. Great Wall decor. Bathroom was clean. The service was top notch. Very attentive and friendly. For starters we ordered Spicy Garlic Edamame, Garlic Salmon Chili, Spicy Tuna Rice Crispy, and the Shumai. Everything was delicious. They were all 10/10, but that Garlic Salmon Chili was our favorite. The 3 rolls I ordered and enjoyed eating were the Spring Roll, Cucumber Special Roll and the 911 Roll. Both were a 10/10. I would definitely order these again. Out of all the Rolls ordered the fan favorite was the Spring Roll with that amazing sauce. Dynamite. Until next time.
This is one of the best sushi spots in Belmont Shore! I've been here several times and the food is just amazing each time I go. The service is incredible, and if there's a wait they always get you in very quickly, and the charming, energetic owner always greets you and makes sure you are taken care of. There is street metered parking, or you can try to find a spot in the busy neighborhood. The ambiance inside is very quaint, upscale, and charming. Although it's a small spot it's adorable inside and seats plenty of guests. I'm a huge fan of the yellowtail sashimi and I have never gone wrong with ANY of the specialty rolls here-they are all delicious and 5/5!! I love the rainbow roll as well as some of their own special rolls. The real star is not on the menu, but please listen when I tell you to order the pickled wasabi and it will LEVEL UP your sushi experience!!! I also like to enjoy hot saki here with a cold beer and the overall experience is always delightful. Check out this hidden gem for a new sushi experience and you'll be thrilled!
This place was amazing! I noticed that they had 5 stars so I had to try it out myself, and might I say, well deserved! The service was great. The waitress checked on us several times and was very sweet. I came on a Saturday evening and it wasn't crowded at all. The food came out surprisingly fast. I absolutely loved the presentation of everything, especially the baked salmon roll. The food was really good and fresh as well. Definitely the best baked salmon roll I've ever had! Their scallop roll was good. Their garlic edamame and crab & cucumber salad were so delicious. Their sauces are in house made. There is about 4 bar seats outside. There is also more seating available indoor as well, which is where I sat. Very small, intimate place. I loved everything about my experience and would definitely return. There is so many food options to choose from. Thank you!
This was by far the best baked salmon roll I have ever had! I would go back just for that again. The salmon had a garlic flavor to it which made it so much better than the usual. Ordered a few other rolls as well that I enjoyed. Service was attentive.
This was my first time here and all I can say is wow. The sushi is very fresh, service is excellent, everyone is so friendly. The restaurant is nice and cozy with a lot of space between tables. Restaurant is very clean and all the employees were helping each other to cater to their guests. The food and service is what will keep me coming back.
Best sushi in long beach! I've been here twice and there's always been little to no wait given that it's a pretty small restaurant. It's a wonderful restaurant for a special occasion or night out on Belmont. We ordered the blue fin tuna, salmon tataki, hot day roll, and Long Beach roll. The blue fin tuna was so fresh with the fresh wasabi. The salmon tataki was my second favorite with the truffle oil that cuts through the classic lemon salmon combo.

10/10. The salmon tataki roll has a slight truffle taste that is so delicious and the eel hand roll was cooked to perfection. The eel was tender, carmelized, smokey, and overall super balanced. The qualify of the fish was amazing and worth the money. The owner was super sweet snd definitely tried to connect with his customers. They close at 9 yet they still served us till 9:15 with the same amazing service, no rushing or anything. Also, the location of the restaurant is perfect to get a sweet treat afterwards or even shop! The place includes a bar and slightly moodly lighting, it is a little small but the owner makes sure you dont wait too long to get in and served so that is always appreciated! Highly recommend if you can!

I LOVE this place... cute and small and the service is phenomenal, always super welcoming and nice and efficient. Sushi is always fresh and I like their sauces as well which is a plus! The candy roll shown on the wooden board is my favorite roll!! The baked salmon roll is on fire with a very cool presentation, I don't love cooked salmon so I gave it a 7/10 but if you do you'd love it... the dynamite roll has an assortment of crab, scallops and shrimp in a mayo based sauce on top of a veggie roll, a fun roll to split with someone because of how much they put on top. read more
The sushi here was solid- I love how they used a board to present our order. We saw someone order the flaming sushi- and had to get that- of course! What impressed me most is that their staff was inclusive as there was an autistic young man clearing our plates and filling our waters! read more

This sushi spot is absolutely amazing. It definitely is deserving of its rating! I know sometimes rating may set up unrealistic expectations, but I must admit that they follow through. The cream cheese wonton was so unique and delicious. First off, it looks just like a taquito. Secondly, the dish was so tasty. I've had cream cheese wontons before, but not like THIS! The dynamite appetizer was definitely one of a kind. It was shaped similar to a tostada, but had a very unique Japanese flavor to it. Definitely something to try. The rolls we had were the tiger roll and dragon roll. There's not much to say except that it definitely hits the spot when hungry. Do yourself a favor and eat at this spot! PHENOMENAL. That is my first thought reminiscing back at the meal that I had here. We actually tried to go 2 other different sushi places while we were in the area but we couldn't get parking for the first spot and the second spot had a really long wait time without reservation. I called @ Sushi and I was told that it would be only a 5-10 minute wait and we were able to get meter parking right next to the library close by. I'll be honest and review my biases though, seeing a name like @ Sushi I thought it would be a sushi place focused on roles or catering to a more "Americanized" palate, but seeing that they have an omakase, "Chef's Special", I was convinced (along with the shorter wait time and available parking). And I am so glad that I gave this place a try. This is a really dark thought, but after eating the omakase here, I couldn't help but to think, "Maybe being alive is okay. Despite all the hardships in life, I'm able to eat delicious food like this? Makes everything worth it." Okay so back to the ACTUAL review. When we got there, we were let known that it would take around another 5-10 minutes just to clear out the tables and get them ready for us, which was no biggie since there was a heated flame out in the front for us to wait and because of this, it didn't feel super cold. Very random aside, but I think its so cute that the singular bike racks in this area are red and heart shaped. Cute touch! I believe it was the owner who was communicating with us the entire time and he made sure to let us know all of the updates and I saw him running around the restaurant checking up on all of the patrons. He informed us on everything and answered all of our questions. I also saw that he was also very communicative with the bussers, wait staff, chefs, etc. That is some good hustle and leadership! As for the wait staff that served us, they also had awesome customer service too! We ordered the: 1) Fresh Oysters: -This came with 2 large oysters on a bed of ice. Both were delectable, buttery, and fresh. -Can't go wrong with this especially if you love oysters! 2) Dynamite: -Baked shrinp, scallop, and kani (crab stick) on a deep fried tortilla. Super rich and creamy, especially with the yum yum sauce on top. Not a bad appetizer, but with how good the chef's special was, perhaps we should have skipped out on this. 3) Chef's Choice (x2): -This is their omakase, served all at once in a very Instagrammable and aesthetically pleasing grid box. -Each of these orders came with a very generously portioned salad with the orange vinaigrette. -All of the seafood was extremely fresh and very high quality! They also let us know the source of all of our food, and this dish came from all over the world! Japan, Korea, Spain, Norway! -Although we ordered 2 of the chef's choices, THEY WERE NOT IDENTICAL. -Yes there were some similar squares of servings, but there were some fish that the other box did not have! -Just to summarize what we got in the chef's choice, it was an array of sashimi and fish on rice. This included salmon, tuna, scallops, uni, mackerel, and I believe red snapper/sea bream and ono (not too entirely sure though). -Aside from how delicious the fish was, each of us had our own favorite offering and mine was definitely the negitoro on rice. The creaminess of the mashed up fatty tuna with the sharp flavor of the green scallions. I'm drooling right now reminiscing on how good it was. Definitely more than enough to serve a party of 3 and we left with our stomachs and hearts so full and happy. Cannot recommend this place enough! read more

This place is really a gem. While it may not be immediately apparent when you first walk up to it, some of the best sushi is served here. The fish is really high quality, fresh and very well presented. I've enjoyed the seared salmon roll, the carpaccios and a few of the other rolls. All have been excellent. So much so, that I've enjoyed eating here more than I have at sugar fish and nobu. @Sushi is kind of a little more low key then those places in the setting and decorations but the fish is really creatively presented and honestly some of the best rolls I've had are here. read more

All the reviews were spot on! This place was awesome! We came to celebrate a birthday and enjoyed the outdoor dining. Very thankful that Stephanie was sitting at the next table and was able to give her suggestions too! We basically saw what was being served at the other tables and ordered those. The ones I remember best are the Dragon Roll and Baked Salmon - came out flaming! Would definitely come back again! You won't be disappointed! read more

We visited @Sushi for outdoor dining the weekend before all restaurants were required to do takeout only again. We called ahead to put our name on the waiting list, which was a good call because they were busy. Their vegetable tempura was good, and the rolls we ordered were good too. They forgot to bring out one of my rolls and sauce but apologized and took it off our bill. I felt bad because the owner (?) was very apologetic - it was a busy night for them so I was understanding! Tldr; literally my new favorite sushi spot in the OC/LA region Time: 8 PM on a Wednesday. Got seated immediately Parking: side-street parking but walking distance to soooo many places around and the pier is like a 5 min walk and is so beautiful at night Service: 10/10 the owner is so sweet and attentive. We had dogs with us and he made the extra effort to set a table outside with a fire for us. Our table was also unstable so he fixed it on the spot for us. Soooo rare nowadays too see the owners of their own restaurant be this involved Price: Salmon nigiri ($6.5), Candy roll ($16), Surprise ($16) Food: Salmon nigiri 100000/10 probably one of the best and most fresh salmon I have ever had so far in socal and ive been to a decent amount of places. The price is a little high but for the quality and the thickness of the cut, it was so worth it. We had to order seconds because it was just that good! Candy roll 10/10 would order this one again! Had everything I wanted in a roll and the raw salmon on top really balanced the crunch of the shrimp tempura inside. Overall my favorite roll on the menu (so far!) Surprise roll 7/10 felt that the spicy tuna overpowered everything else on the roll. I got this with the desire to get something with raw salmon but I really couldnt savor the taste of all the other parts of the roll because of the spicy tuna. My daughter recommended this restaurant and it was on point. The sushi quality is very good and the portions is generous. The specialty rolls will suite any guest, however I tend to order sashimi so I can taste the quality. The Yellow Tail and Tuna melt in your mouth! The service was average, however the owner checked on us several times during our meal. The ambiance is cozy and on the trendy side. I will agree with my daughters recommendation. First off wow!!! I'm a huge sushi fan I can tell you this place was fresh sea food! I had the albacore carpaccio, baked salmon, Hawaiian roll so yummy besides the food hospitality is awesome! The owner is so nice made sure he checked in on us while we waited definitely recommended. read more
Amazingly delicious food and equally as amazing presentation! My friend and I decided to try out this place on a Sunday night and we ordered a variety of items including the Dragon Roll, Tiger Roll, Dynamite and Cream Cheese Wontons. Both the Dragon Roll and Tiger Roll were fresh, flavorful, delicious and beautifully presented on a wooden board. The Dynamite appetizer is a baked combination of scallop, kani (imitation crab) and shrimp on a deep fried tortilla which was tasty. The tortilla was an interesting choice to include in this dish and it worked really well adding a nice crisp in every bite. The Cream Cheese Wontons which is kani and cream cheese deep fried in wonton wrap was AMAZING. I've never seen cream cheese wontons in this form before, looked kind of similar to a cannoli. It was really fun and interesting to eat. I loved how creamy the center was in contrast to the crispiness of the wonton wrap. The kani they use in it is really good and has a nice stretch like mozzarella cheese. My friend and I loved this appetizer and would've ordered a second helping if we weren't so full. The chefs definitely put a lot of thought into the presentation for all their dishes, it shows through the aesthetic plating and careful placement. This is one of the few restaurants that I've been thoroughly impressed with both the taste of the food and the artistic presentation. Service was pretty quick and it didn't take too long for our food to come out. The staff was friendly and attentive. Parking is limited however, there is meter parking closeby. I highly recommend coming here for the delicious and beautifully presented food. It's a superb place in Long Beach for a meal with friends or a date. read more

Yummm! @Sushi - where do I even begin?! The quality of fish is divine and everything I ordered off the menu was made to perfection. They've got a great happy hour for drinks - trust me on this... my boyfriend and I got a little too schwazyyyy because the deal was too good. Food pricing, in contrast, broke the bank - but hey, we're paying for quality, amirite?? Overall, the service was great, our server was very knowledgeable of the menu and attentive to our needs. The noise level wasn't loud and it wasn't packed when we arrived. (Maybe because we got there before the rush, but to me - this was perfect timing). Had the pleasure of dining here with some close friend and as first timers here and we were all blown away. My wife and I frequent sushi spots around the LA area and I have to say the quality and experience with the food and staff here is unmatched. From the dry ice presentation with the nigiri to the fire surrounded baked roll delivery- experience meets quality and professionalism.. Have been passing by this sushi place for a while now since its right beside my go-to cheese shop (cheese addiction) and finally got to try it on New Year's Day and I loved it!! Ordered the Dragon Roll and the Tuna Tataki and everything was so fresh and good protein-rice ratio. Their mixed tempura plate was also pretty good, perfectly crispy and not oily. Service was pleasant and fast. We will definitely be back! Parking can be a pain in Belmont Shore strip in general but you kind of expect it anyway so plan accordingly! read more

It's a cute little spot, definitely kid friendly and really great service. It's a bit on the pricey side, but so worth it because the fish tasted so fresh!
