If you're just passing through I would definitely recommend the Liquor Locker for your random needs. But if you are local and within walking distance I would STRONGLY urge you to visit the Liquor Locker on a regular basis. Mainly because of Mr. Lee. He is fabulous. I've seen him verbally chastise underage boys for attempting to buy cigarettes, I've seen him refuse to sell alcohol to a patron that was clearly intoxicated. He will kindly overlook the fact that you haven't met the $10 minimum purchase and still take your debit/credit card, And I've never seen him in a bad mood. He has character, and still values interpersonal client relationships over raping you for every last red cent. That's saying something. They get 2 stars just because they have liquor. Be careful in here. I've had it happen to me and seen it happen to other people - if you ask for the largest size of anything he has behind the shelf, he'll actually try to sell you the middle size. Not sure why unless its because he has more stock or there is a higher mark up, but its irritating to have to tell him to go back and get the other one. He'll also charge you the 10 cents for the bag w/o telling you or asking if you need a bag. Pretty shady all around and there are MUCH better stores in the area. Steer clear. read more

Mr. Lee one of the employees has always been very nice and whenever I walked by his store I'd always go inside, check if he's there and say hello. Awesome place + the people are super nice! Shout out to this cool spot for being one of the few who let me post up an animal adoption flyer for a local animal rescue organization. Local businesses that support local animal rescue deserve our dollars + say hi to Lee when you are there, he's awesome and remembers everyone's name. I went in here once and my experience was fine but I went in again tonight and I'm so caught off guard. Not sure if the older Asian man is the owner but something isn't right with him. We were checking out, nothing weird, not being rude or anything, and he started saying really weird shit and threatening us. This liquor store isn't much to look at and really doesn't have a great selection ...BUT... one of the guys that works there is HI-larious! While on a walking excursion to Pinkberry, my crew decides they need some H2O. I, on the other hand, decide that I need a mini bottle of vino. (I wasn't eating Pinkberry so that was my tasty treat) It was warm that night, so I opted to buy some chilled white wine. I grab my selection, walk to the counter & find my fiance having a wacky conversation with the employee of this fine establishment. (I'll call him 'this guy') 'This guy' proceeds to tell us how he hates most of the people who go to the craptastic Belmont Station & Acapulco Inn (I do too) and then he proceeds to tell us that he just wanted to come to work, get stoned and chill out....not have 'stupid conversations w/morons'. I am a frequent visitor of liquor locker. I live near the store so it's convient to buy wine there. The staff always helps me select wine. There is a huge selection of wine so I never get bored of the inventory. The store is a good alternative to a loud expensive bar.
