Loving coming here! It's perfectly located on a corner. They have great selection of craft beers. The owner Roger is very friendly and nice read more

This review is just about the wine selection so if you're going for the beer, you can ignore this :) 90% of the wine they sell is garbage. There's only one wall of decent bottles behind the cash register, but be skeptical of anything that isn't current release. Since all the bottles stand upright, the older vintage bottles could have dried corks, allowing the wine to oxidize much more quickly than intended. The prices for most of the wines on the back shelf, including the big selection of champagnes, are priced about 30-40% above other retailers. For example, the Charles Heidsieck Brut Reserve is a $45-50 retail bottle but they're selling it for $70. In a pinch, if you're in the area and need a decent bottle of champagne, this is a good place to stop. However, if you drive to Total Wine, which also delivers locally, you're likely to find the same bottle significantly cheaper. read more

Booze shops are relatively all the same to me, so I can't comment on the quality of the selection. What compels me to write a review is the service. 5/5 for service/hospitality. Everyone who works there is a gem and makes you feel welcome. Even when you come in looking like Sméagol. It's the neighborhood vibe you want. read more

Dig their beer selection and I wouldn't even FaceTime myself as a beer gal. Lol Staff is generally pretty laid back and cool. They also have a punch card option so spend so much and get so much off. Nice if you live local and like to support small businesses. read more

Such a cute little convenience/liquor store that sells really great wine, beer, ale and snack selections. I love Long Beach for places like this, the workers were so friendly and I got to meet Rasta. I can't wait to try the beverages that I purchased and for my next visit there! It's located right on 3rd and very walkable for anyone downtown/driving in. read more

I came here for craft beers and they had a good selection but little. I grabbed some cans from breweries that I never heard off but they were good beers. Parking maybe an issue because it is near downtown so good luck on that. read more

Grabbed some beers from here over the weekend. Small shop, but with good craft and macro options in the coolers, and an impressive selection of clearance beers for a fraction of the original cost. In addition to a couple single cans (an IPA and a lager) and a (at $12+, relatively expensive) little container of michelada mix, I snagged 3 sours normally priced at over $10 for $5 each. Service was friendly, everyone in the store was masked up, and I went home a happy girl. I love an unpretentious liquor store with great options. Will definitely stop by again when I'm in Long Beach. read more

In the heart of Downtown LBC, this place has the best craft beer selection in town. It is the Mecca of craft beer specialities for craft beer enthusiasts and connoisseurs alike! This place is small and compact, but the selection of beers they have are based off quality, NOT quantity. They have a variety of sours, stouts, IPA's, and quads, but mostly barrel aged beers. They also have a friendly staff, who by the way are the two coolest and nicest white dudes that you will ever meet. They will tell you about their new and special releases, like really hard stuff to get, just talk to them and ask. Additionally, I enjoy the fact most of their barrel aged stuff is local from Southern California, and they carry stuff by Rare Barrel and Hangar 24. If you're looking for good quality barrel aged beers, then this definitely a go to place. The pricing is also very reasonable and cheap for their barrel aged stuff. Their Hangar products are usually $19.99, that's rare. read more

The folks that own and work here are super accommodating and helpful. The customer service is fantastic. They have a nice selection of beers, wine and sparking wines/champagne as well as other essentials for a liquor store. read more

The employees do not wear masks, they have a big dog named Rasta they often have out front who lunges at my dog (I've seen it lunge at people as well) so I can't even walk past when they are open. Sometimes they walk it around the neighborhood off leash. Their beer selection is garbage and they are so stoned half the time they don't even understand what you are saying to them. Get it together boys, this is a community here not a party. read more

This is by far the best local shop in all of Long Beach. The owners Roger and Rasta Boi (who is a beautiful friendly Pitbull) create the best vibes i have ever experienced at a local business. The feeling of community is alive and well at Hops & Vines. There is so much to tell but lets start with the selection. Roger has put together a great selection of craft beer, wine, sake, kombucha as well as non alcoholic beverages. He has all the best snacks to satisfy your deepest munchie cravings. He also has a nice humidor stocked with cigars and tobacco products if that is your cup of tea. On top of having the best selection of goods in the LBC Hops & VInes if active in the community. This location often has rotating DJ's in the store spinning the best hip hop for the customers. They are a part of the art walk in Long Beach and it is not uncommon for them to have a large crowd outside the enjoying the vibe that only they can create. The art on the outside of the venue is amazing vibrant and indicative of the music culture that they represent. A nice bench and small garden outside the store entice you to stay and chat awhile with the local gentry, so please if you are in the area stop by say high and enjoy local life with the Boi's. Thank you for being a beacon in these dark times Roger be seeing you soon my friend. read more

The owners Roger & Johnny are super friendly and welcoming. Love the interior atmosphere with all the art that they've added recently. They carry a great craft beer selection (and WINE!). Best craft beer corner store in downtown Long Beach- no exceptions! They've got a great selection of craft beer that frequently rotates. Averagely priced. Good selection of singles too! The 2 brothers that own the store are extremely down to earth, fun guys to talk to, and very welcoming. They have cool murals painted all over the walls, including some locally famous Pow Wow artists. When it comes to supporting your local mom and pop businesses, this is the best example of one who deserves your support, because their quality speaks for itself. read more

These guys are the best. Go in and check out their craft beer selection. You won't be disappointed! DTLB's finest

The bartender seemed like he was on something. He starting pouring me the beer I was reading out loud. I told him I liked the lighter beers. He mumbled a few of what I assumed were lighter beers. He let me sample a few that we're too hoppy for my taste. Then suggested there' always the seltzer drink. His demeanor came across like he didn't really have time for us unless we knew exactly what we wanted. When my husband asked if they served food he did suggest they had snacks & mentioned they were fried food like we were a couple of fatties but, before that he suggested we could always go next door to grab a pizza & beer. He served us hastily & never asked if we needed another drink or anything else. Then when we were almost finished eating asked us if everything was good . Next thing I know he cleared my drink when I still was drinking it. He did not welcome us with a good vibe. After a tough week at work I just wanted a bite to eat & a few drinks to start the weekend off. We did not find it there. Very disappointing! We will not be going back there & will not be recommending this place. read more

Roger taking over this liquor store was the best thing to happen to the Long Beach Arts District. Before, the shop was almost completely empty, however, Roger has worked to stock up the shelves with craft beers that can't be found at any other Long Beach liquor stores. Almanac sours, bottles from the Bruery, select beers from Mammoth Brewing Company, Modern Times, and other obscure craft beers for the adventurous drinker can be found at Hops & Vines. If you want a good alcoholic selection, come to Hops & Vines. read more
