@Sushi is always good, fresh and the service excellent! The toro sushi is the best around. Calvin is the best server. Really attentive and always on point. Beau knows his stuff when making sushi. I recommend this place! read more

Very very very good quality sushi. We were a bit hesitant because of the name but it was great! And folks who work there are very nice and friendly. read more

Being a local and living right behind @sushi I was excited to try the new restaurant out for dinner tonight with my daughter. Although they just opened and are still training and getting it all together it was a great time. The food was great. The owner was courteous and personable. The server was awesome, very friendly and prompt. I will be a regular ! Thanks @sushi and welcome to 2nd street. read more

Excellent sushi with great service. Outside dining. Not the largest selection but everything was delicious. Highly recommended.

Holy cow...best sushi I ever had. The hand rolls were great, and the rolls were even better, but only because I ate them last! The greatest taste was the heart attack! I highly recommend this place, and the sushi chef's will do a shot with you! You will not be disappointed, unless you don't understand what good sushi is! They have real wasabi, not just the powdered crap all other restaurants serve! Come now, or forever hold your crappy sushi! read more

Been here twice now and have to say the sushi is fresh and very tasty. Especially the yellowtail belly. It comes out with fresh wasabi (not the paste) and just melts in your mouth. read more

Definitely the best quality sushi on second street! If a spicy tuna roll covered in spicy mayo is how you want your sushi this may not be the place for you. Don't get me wrong their rolls are delicious here too but If you like sashimi and like a variety of fish this is your place! Every time I have come here there have been several specialty fish options. Everything is fresh and high quality! Do yourself a favor and come have a delicious meal at @Sushi!! read more

The sushi was amazingly fresh and the Long Beach Roll was out of sight. In addition, the warm crusted lobster dish was out of this world! We will be back! read more

Wow, the sushi here is seriously high quality. The tuna sushi melts in your mouth, as does the yellowtail and seared tuna. Even the Hawaiian roll, which sounded so regular, was amazing in quality and taste. The Japanese chef kept checking in on us too, to make sure everything was great. Highly, highly recommend you visit this sushi place. Better than another sushi place on this same street! read more

Every time my wife and I come here, we always order the Long Beach roll.. and EVERY TIME it comes out phenomenal. Like Over and over again, it doesn't disappoint. It's delicious time in, time out and we can't get enough!! read more

My husband and I came to @ Sushi to celebrate a special occasion and Calvin and Jade took amazing care of us!!! We are locals to Belmont Shore and have been to every sushi spot on the map! @ Sushi is new, but we have already been here 3 times because the service is amazing, the food is incredible- high quality and fresh with good portions, and we always leave feeling satisfied and happy! Jade and Calvin were attentive, kind, and the perfect servers! Anyone who loves sushi and a good time should check out this spot! read more

Came based on the reviews here. Very happy with the experience. High quality fish, reasonable prices. Seems to be a place with a lot of regulars. Don't come if you are in a rush - things move leisurely. read more

The salmon carpaccio was sooooooo bomb. I'm really pleased with their quality of sushi, there aren't many establishments in Long Beach with superrrrrrr good sashimi. They also have TEMPURA ICE CREAM HERE!!!!!!!! read more

This was a last minute walk in. Sushi was so fresh it really was good. Prices are a little high though. Overall very good!

This is by far the best sushi I've ever had. So fresh and presentation is beautiful. Mr. Song grates his own fresh wasabi. What an amazing difference it makes. Reservations accepted, our server Calvin was fabulous. read more

This place is truly a hidden gem! The sushi we ordered was top quality and it was probably one of the best foods that we have tried. The service was great and the atmosphere is beautiful! Definitely worth a try if you are in the area! This was our first time and we will definitely be back soon. Highly recommend the yellowtail roll, dragon roll and tempura roll. read more

This was our first time here at @sushi and we honestly weren't sure what to expect. But once we sat down and received service, we quickly realized why they had 5 stars. The service for starters is amazing. Incredibly friendly and on point! But what really sold us was John the sushi chef. We sat at the sushi bar and were able to observe him make every roll and the amount of pride and attention to detail really made us understand why this place is so good. All the effort he put into making the rolls resonated in its taste and we were more than satisfied with everything from start to finish. Definitely recommend eating here and guarantee the same satisfaction we experienced. read more

The food and staff were amazing. All the fish tasted fresh. Their oysters and the sauce they put on them were . I want to come back for the food. read more

Sushi is good but very small. A little on the pricier side but so is everything on Second St. I don't like the seating situation but the quality of the sushi was good. read more

Great new sushi spot in Belmont Shore! Highly recommend - fresh fish and fantastic service. Highlights include long beach roll, hotate, mackerel, seared salmon nigiri. We will definitely be back! read more

Unfortunately this was the worse sushi I've had in a long time. I ordered the rainbow roll and it was presented well, but the fish was horrible. Each piece had an extremely unpleasant color, odor and texture. I usually order sushi or sashimi but unfortunately was not even able to stomach this roll. The piece of salmon on the roll still had some skin on it. My server was fantastic, but unfortunately I have to give two stars based on the quality of their fish. I hope my experience was a mistake and not the standard quality of their fish. read more

Wow wow wow. Sushi is my favorite food. I'd like to say I'm a sushi connoisseur, which is good and bad sometimes. My pallet is very picky, and I can tell whether the sushi is fresh. Everything about this place was fabulous - from the presentation, service, to every single dish. Best rainbow roll I've had. Baked scallops roll is THE BEST THING I'VE EVER TASTED! All other rolls were great as well. This is our new local go-to sushi spot :) read more

Caden the bus boy keeps the restaurant alive... The dynamic duo of song and his nephew caden and our server andrea was amazing, we were fed very well. Would absolutly recommend this one to my family and friends . Never had a better sushi expirience in long beach! Song makes dinner more than a dinner he makes it a 5 star dining experience extravaganza. We love sushi and sake best place ever song is our best friend and we love him five ever read more

Love this Long Beach sushi spot. Other than their exceptional sushi definitely the try out the delectable Udon and sumptuous curry which we'll definitely be eating all winter!! The shu mi and Cream Cheese wontons are amazing too. A must try if you're in Belmont Shore or if you just love great Japanese food. read more

Great food and great customer service -- the owner is so genuine and kind and our food is always correct, delicious and fresh. Travels surprisingly well for takeout too! The fried spicy tuna number is my favorite! read more

I'm obsessed with sushi, so I'm always looking for good places. At Sushi is my favorite I've tried since moving to Long Beach, and I've been to at least 12. Delicious fresh fish, great service and a great atmosphere. We had gyoza, cream cheese wontons, the 5372 roll (yuuum), an albacore roll with garlic chips (forgot the name), tuna and yellowtail nigiri and the mochiyaki dessert. I tend to be picky with sushi, and this place is all-around bomb! I'll be back! read more

Fantastic! The bbq shirt ribs is the best I ever had because the quality of the meat is excellent. The meat alone is so tasty, the fact that the marinated sauce is very light which is genius because anything heavier, saltier, or sweeter would have ruined it. Curry was tasty with just the right spiciness. The salad was surprisingly tasty too as I'm not a salad person. All the rolls we tried were equally tasty and good quality. read more

Second time eating here and it's soooo delicious. Ate in person and got delivered. So fresh and insanely tasty. Perhaps the freshest tasting sushi I have had in Long Beach. Obsessed with the Salmon Tataki Roll and the salmon sushi. Seriously, my only complaint was their garlic edamame, it's good... but 39 Degrees is the BOMB. So, it made it hard bc my expectations were so high read more

Great sushi! Got the soft shell crab roll and eel roll to go and it was super speedy service and everyone was really nice. The sushi was light, fresh and tasty! Would definitely come again for a sit down meal and to try something new. read more

Pretty good sushi place! Sushi was fresh and the service was good. Some of the rolls were interesting and flavorful; others I could take or leave. Pretty standard place to eat if you want to go out for decent sushi. (FYI The bathroom in this restaurant is out on the side of the building, which it thought was strange. You have to leave the restaurant and go down the street a bit.) read more

Went here because I filtered for kid friendly places to eat and this came up. The ambiance didn't really seem kid friendly but the food made up for it. My kids, 11&12 loved the rolls and the garlic edamame. They tried the rainbow, bamboo, California, and veggie rolls. read more

new place in the shore. Just across from Roe. Welcome to the neighborhood. I like the place. Feels right in the space. Pleasant staff. The menu is very typical. The fish was great. Very fresh. All good. Except. I ordered Saba. Sushi. "Market price". Saba is considered sort of junk fish. And it's cheap. So when I got hit for $18 for one order of Saba I about passed out. Beware. They lost a star there. It'll be a while 'till I recover. Oh. Not maybe so much their fault, but the bathroom is literally outside and a couple doors down. I hope they do well. This has been a traditionally difficult space. read more

Sushi was fresh and service is even better! We made a reservation and upon arrival we were seated right away! I meant to order the rainbow roll but ordered the dragon roll instead and it was amazing! Will definitely come back! read more

I live in Irvine and make the drive for this sushi! It is so good every time my stomach is always happy after! I have tried a bunch of places all around Orange County with not much luck and some pretty nasty experiences so I was super happy to find this place. The fish tastes fresh, the presentation is awesome, the baked salmon roll is brought out on fire , and when it was open for dine in the sushi chefs were very friendly! I wish I lived closer I would definitely eat here more but I do make the trip at least once or twice a month! Another thing they do well is their unique rolls! The Mexican roll is super super tasty and I'm forgetting what it's called now but there is one wrapped in egg which was incredible as well!! Any who, if you're looking for good sushi it's well worth the trip, definitely check this place out! read more

A surprising amount of food for the regular menu. I recommend the Heart Attack from the specials, it's hot but so good.
