I have to admit I was a bit skeptical with there not being another soul in the place but my friend assured me that it was well worth it. The waiter was so nice and polite. The rolls came out really fast since it was only us there. Restaurant was really quiet and clean. Will definitely return.

Good food and large-portioned meals in an unassuming strip mall. The only real negative was my server didn't know what other beers they had besides Sapporo. He listed the names of them and I was unfamiliar of them, and couldn't tell me if they were an Ale vs. Lager etc. And when I asked he said he wasn't sure, and he didn't offer to go look/ask someone. Since I like Sapporo, I ordered it (but would have liked to know what others beers they had and what kinds they were). The spicy beef yakiudon was quite good. The meat quality and cook was good, and the ratio of noodles:beef:vegetables was very good. The sauce itself had just a little bit of heat to it, but by no means would I consider it "spicy" for someone who eats spicy food. Overall, it was good! But if and when we come back, I'll likely order something else.

I relied on the Yelp reviews and ate here! HUGE mistake. I will never trust restaurants' reviews in Phoenix after this. The service was cool but the food was not good at all. I was so disappointed when I left. I suspect the great reviews are from influencers or a related party. I was duped.

If you're going to this location with friends or family, this is the order you need to get--it's called the Special Combo for 3 people!

Wow--what a hidden gem! This has officially become my new go-to sushi spot. I came here with my boyfriend on a Friday evening, and although it wasn't very busy, the atmosphere was perfect. Our server was so kind--they even comped our edamame and surprised us with an extra discount in honor of the restaurant's 10-year anniversary. Such a thoughtful gesture! The food was incredible--fresh, flavorful fish and the edamame was spot on. We also ordered two deep-fried rolls, and they were gone so fast I didn't even have time to take a picture (always a good sign!). Everything tasted amazing. I'm so glad we found this place and can't wait to come back very soon!

Shrimp tempura, salmon crunch and calamari crunch rolls

I was hoping to give Sushi Bros 5 stars but sadly this visit and the last few have been a bit of a letdown. I decided to stop in for a quick lunch with my daughter. We ordered our usual, gyoza, calamari tempura crunch roll, salmon crunch roll and the shrimp tempura roll. The gyoza were nice and crispy and tasty but once the rolls arrived they were a bit of a mess. The rolls were so loosely rolled that when you tried to pick them up they immediately fall apart, everything in the center separated from the seaweed and rice. Not only were the rolls very loose and sloppy but the flavor was just not there. We used to love sushi bros but we are finding the quality has decreased and the prices have risen. The waiter was friendly and tentative and the restaurant was very clean, but it's not enough to reel me back.

Wasn't crowded at all for the dinner area but the bar was packed. They have happy hour. By 6 pm it was full and packed everywhere. Parking is plentiful. We did the chicken shrimp and the New York strip. The mushroom soup is very delicious, the salad dressing felt like it was missing something. The rice was phenomenal so yummy and full of flavor. I like their ginger seafood dipping sauce, but I absolutely cannot stand Dijon taste, and that's what they use for their meat, a mustard sauce. I really wish there was an alternative. The meat seemed to be cooked well and the steak to my boyfriend's liking, flavor was good. We got Lucky to try a sample of the Seabass and holy moly!!! literally melting butter in your mouth! Definitely regretful for our choices and next time we come in, it's Seabass all the way no fishy taste, again just melts in your mouth I wasn't in the mood for the pineapple Dole Ice Cream a bit sweet but definitely can be refreshing from the heat. I got their salmon sushi, and it was good and a decent cut (5$ each on happy hour) My boyfriend got their Japanese whiskey and he enjoyed it. He just said there was a lot of ice. There was one open seat at our table, and I couldn't imagine squeezing another person in. there was even a child sitting at our table and it still felt like we were on top of each other. Not much room at all with your drinks, appetizers, and dinner plates. The show the cook put on was fun and entertaining. Service was very friendly and attentive.

10/16/26 First Visit. Thank-you to Yelp Elite Allstar friend…read more@Emma N for your review! Back in Phoenix today and dropped in for lunch after a Chase Field experience. Parking 5/5 Mensho Ramen is located in a micro-plaza on the NE corner of Palo Verde Dr and 7th street; Phx. Enter parking lot off of Palo Verde Dr. most of the time you can find parking in the multi-Resturant parking lot. Micro Plaza Venue 5/5 This plaza underwent the current concept change when I lived nearby. I was excited as it announced the initial tenant line-up, and It became a big hit after opening. A favorite Italian restaurant which stands empty today had a fun modern concept and excellent food, and a micro-brewery operated in the space Mensho Ramen now claims as its Phoenix location. There are other nice eatery's in this plaza so you can find something to enjoy. Mensho Atmosphere 5/5 The bones of the former micro brewery were utilized however the design and brand concept was implemented exceedingly well. The restaurants centerpiece bar was maintained with nice design eliminates that sets the concepts theme. This is a beautiful eat at bar. The space is very comfortable with modern Japanese Cultural touches throughout. Service 5/5+ My host and server today was Ms. Cass. I was seated at a window booth to enjoy the plazas foot traffic. She walked me through the upscale menu. Between the menu, Cass's input and the review from Yelp friend @Emma N. I knew what I wanted to try. Cass had my drink order starter and Entree order and off she went. Cass was at my table often, her visits always timely making my experience perfect. Food 5/5++ I just visited Ramen restaurant in Gilbert recently which was lacking on several fronts and wanted to try more than I could eat. Leftovers were in the plan today. Starters Corn wings were a unique and clever creation from the cob. Served with a thin cob backing with the corn grilled to a slight char. They are served with a chili powder to add to suit your level of spice. Karate Chicken was served in small bite style making use of chopsticks easy. The texture and crunch was very nice, the flavor made this standout my try! Entree Mensho signature GKO spicy Ramen was excellent. I ordered extra spicy which they accommodated with a side of diced red chill paste and chili powder. The both was rich, flavorful and spicy. Fresh ingredients were skillfully placed for a beautiful presentation. The noodles were perfectly cooked and hearty. I loved this bowl. Eggs are an add for this bowl. Desert Pudding with strawberries was a the perfect complement to a superb Mensho dinner. Leftovers I didn't take much home as I expected the food was that good. I've elevated Mensho to my # 1 Ramen house for delivering Atmosphere and Great food! $122.67 includes tip Get Mensho on your list my friends-SYOY!

I stopped in at 5 p.m. sharp on a Thursday, and there was already a line out the door. That said, getting a table for one wasn't a problem. The atmosphere is definitely rambunctious. It was extremely loud and energetic, although no one was being disorderly. Personally, I found it unpleasant. I ordered a spider roll, which is a longtime favorite of mine across different states and restaurants. Unfortunately, Hiro's version didn't work for me. It came with a mayonnaise-style sauce that wasn't listed on the menu, and I've never encountered that preparation on a spider roll before. The pieces were also unusually large and awkward to eat. I would have preferred more moderate, bite-sized portions. I also found the pricing to be on the high side compared with other sushi spots; that applied across the board, from appetizers to rolls. I'm glad I finally gave Hiro Sushi a try. It just wasn't a match for my personal preferences. Three stars for me, but clearly a Scottsdale favorite for many.

The food was actually very good, which makes the experience even more disappointing because the…read moreservice was absolutely horrible. We were a party of 12 visiting on vacation, and none of us are from the area. We ordered spam musubi and a chicken skewer as appetizers. Both appetizers arrived well after our entrees had already been served and we had essentially finished eating. Each time we asked about them, we were repeatedly told, "They're coming." Mind you, these are simple appetizers that should not take anywhere near that long to prepare. When we asked for the third time, we finally asked that the appetizers be cancelled since we had already finished our meal. At that point, the gentleman working the front area , tall, with red hair, loudly yelled from across the restaurant, in an extremely rude and confrontational tone, "It's already on the grill!" There was absolutely no reason to speak to paying customers that way. His response was unprofessional, unnecessary, and honestly created a very hostile and uncomfortable feeling during what should have been an enjoyable dinner, especially while our group was on vacation and simply trying to enjoy a meal together. When the appetizers eventually came out, we left them sitting there because we were already done eating and ended up taking them to go. He eventually told us they would be removed from the bill, which we appreciated, but that did not excuse the way the situation was handled. Again, the food was good, but good food does not make up for poor service and especially not for an employee speaking to customers in an aggressive and disrespectful manner. Management should seriously address how customers are treated, because the interaction with this particular employee overshadowed what could have otherwise been a good dining experience for our party of 12.
