My kid wen to Sushi Boat in Temecula with other 4 friends, they are junior high. It's their first time to go out to restaurant together, new and excited . They ordered just 3 orders of sushi roll to share cause 2 of them worried that can't eat raw fish. The restaurant has free ice cream desert, the waitress just brought out 3 small ice cream even they are 5 kids. The bill was $48 and few cents. One of them paid $49 for the group. The lady came to collect the bill, she starred at them for a bit and asked : " one dollar for the tip?" They didn't expect the question and felt so embarrassed, and a bit scare. The kids looked at each other n didn't know what to answer. One of them just said : Yes.! cause the lady just stood there for the answer. They left the restaurant disappointed because the bad attitude of the lady. I hope the owner can treat the students better even thought they have tips or not. This was our first time at Sushi Boat. Sashimi plate was excellent. Also loved that they have several "rice-free" keto friendly options. The fish was fresh and they give you very generous portions. This place is nice to go to after a long day of shopping since it's just right across from the theaters. You honestly get what you pay for - it's not the best sushi, per say, but it'll satisfy that sushi craving for sure. As for customer service, I find it a tad better on weekends. Weekdays, servers prefer to talk amongst themselves it seems.. other than that, their bento deal is rather good! We love ordering the tonkatsu. This used to be our favorite spot when visiting the mall. Today, we went to eat dinner and they told us our kids were too old for the kids' menu and that it was for kids 6 and under. That is absolutely ludicrous. We left. Definitely not family friendly. They lost business today for being stingy. read more

My family has been coming to Sushi Boat for years (when it was across the way from its current spot) and have always loved the quality and taste of everything. We now live an hour away and have always made a point to eat there when in town. However, when we visited there yesterday that opinion has changed. The tempura batter was NOT tempura batter but more like overcooked panko and the potion is obviously smaller. The calamari was tough and dry. We ordered the lunch boxes and the quality was just not the same with the taste and portion size. We had a party of 6 and they added the tip onto the bill, which is fine, but the service was lacking for sure. Overall, we are very disappointed and won't be returning on our next trip. read more

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this as it's our go to restaurant. They have the best crispy chicken appetizer and shoyu ramen. We were greeted warmly and seated immediately. The decor looks nice and the service was quick. Unfortunately, the food fell short of our expectations. For example, The agedashi tofu was soggy and the sauce was bland. The spicy scallop and lobster salad hand rolls, they were just ok. While the ghost shrimp was better. Went to Sushi Boat with a friend new to area to get take out. They actually deserve 0 star because I was embarrassed from treatment. I've gone there before to get takeout and dined in pre-COVID. Well, we walked in we told gentleman takeout. He told us to sit down. He gave us menus. He was told by an unfriendly lady server that looked evil at us to help the other customers. After we sat we received funny stuck up looks from the staff as we waited to give order. I started felling uncomfortable. Fresh sushi. Not outrageously priced, service was great. We did feel a little rushed, and they asked us to move tables when we were already sat. A little inconvenience but we did it. The food came out hot and seemed more fresh than a lot of other sushi places. The gyoza is the bomb! The reason for 4 stars is because their is no waiting area, it's very limited inside, and the fact that they asked us and a few other parties to move after we all got sat and our drinks etc. We would definitely be back. Came by recently, and got a Sushj Box A! It comes with seaweed salad, spicy tuna rolls, California rolls, and nigiri (shrimp, yellowtail, salmon, tuna). I also ordered popcorn chicken (not pictured by highly recommend)!! It's chicken kaarage on a bed of cabbage. It's covered in eel sauce, spicy mayo, sweet chili, and a certain powder. The hand roll was tasty, but the price didn't match. Ordered a no rice roll and it completely fell apart. Usually these types of rolls are delicious. Took my family here and ate on the patio the service was excellent our server was this nice Filipino man. The food was even better I love fresh sushi it's my ultimate craving. I had some nigiri and a few favorite rolls (albacore amigo). My dad ordered the ramen and my fiancé ordered the 3 item plate. My toddler had a little kid boat with fries and chicken she loved it. We always order door dash from them everything comes perfect to our home. Excited to finally try this place in person I can't wait to come back the outdoor seating is facing the mall fountain it's a chill view and relaxed atmosphere. I'm from San Diego so I mos def miss my sushi go to stops out there but this is a great substitute I love it. I walked through the food court but did not find what I was looking for until we walked outside the mall and found this gem. We intended to grab a few different rolls and share amongst the four of us. We ordered super shrimp tempura, salmon roll, tiger roll and some eel roll. First the food came out very quickly, less than 5 minutes. When it arrived and we decided to dig in, the sushi was So Fresh! Some of the freshest sushi I have had in a while. The staff was super attentive and polite. They made sure we had everything we needed. We even we able to enjoy some green tea ice cream before we left. The restaurant is casual and not too quiet. Mark and Eunice, the owners, have worked tirelessly in creating a welcoming environment and trained their team for great service. We have always enjoyed coming here for great sushi at a great price. I highly recommend the Bento Box as it comes with lots of extras including an ice cream dessert. There are pages and pages of great rolls but we have always been pleased with the Ya-Ya roll.
