So good that we had to order a second roll. This is also the perfect opportunity to try some prime fish cuts, like otoro and chutoro. Ughhhh it melts in tour mouth. Octopus was also really great! Rainbow roll was also great. We also got the oyster mushroom skewer and the eggplant skewer. Eggplant skewer absolutely outshined the other one. Totally get the eggplant. Dessert was great! Matcha tres leches was a stunner. Mochi came with 4 flavors, banana, passion fruit, mango, and birthday cakes. Best was birthday cake and banana. Ralph was our server. Great presence. Down to earth. Sushi Bichi has officially become my happy hour personality. First of all, whoever decided to have happy hour on the weekends deserves a raise, because that's when most of us actually have time to be happy. The service was great -- friendly, fast, and patient with my very serious happy hour ordering strategy. Food-wise, there were some real winners. The tuna quality is excellent (like, "I might start pretending I'm a sushi expert" level). The BBQ skewers were delicious, and the run rice was amazing. I would happily order those again and again. Now... not everything was love at first bite. The fried mushrooms and the chicken skewer just didn't do it for me. Not terrible, just not something I'd fight my friends over. Drinks during happy hour are good, but a little on the sweet side -- I had to double check there was actually alcohol in there. The watermelon drink is probably the best one, but definitely ask for low sugar unless you want dessert in a glass. Overall, great spot for weekend happy hour, great ambiance, good sushi, and solid service. I'll definitely be back... mostly for the tuna and those BBQ skewers. read more

Sushi Bichi is such a great place! The space is open and airy, so it's a nice ambiance. All of the staff that we spoke to were really nice and helpful. They had lamps out because it was chilly weather, which is always nice. The food was the star, though. My mom and I got a Rainbow Roll to share and also the Maple Miso Salmon. All of the fish was very high-quality, and the salmon's flavor was so unique, comforting, just a really lovely blend of flavors. I would go back just for that one dish alone. Sushi Bichi is a nice beachfront sushi restaurant. I sat at the bar. My server, one of the bartenders, was very nice and made excellent suggestions for both food and sake. I had the Umango Bicho Roll and the Salt and Pepper Squid. Both were excellent. The squid was cooked perfectly. For sake I had a can of Kikusui Funaguchi which I would not say was great, but just OK. We are in town for Art Basel and Tycho and had the urge for some sushi. There were 5 choices within walking distance for us and we picked Sushi Bichi and could. It be happier with our choice. It's probably our favorite sushi restaurant now easily surpassing Umi in Atlanta when judging the whole book. Perfect location on the beach - plenty of seating - and our server Joanna was the absolute BOMB. I do a sake refill test on my servers just for fun and she nailed it. . She also guided us expertly on some picks, particularly the St Tropez Moules Frites. We ended up with some O-toro sashimi, the abusan roll, and the mussels.... And two bottles of Sake. It has been a year since I have been to this neighborhood spot. Tonight I came after the city of Miami Beach grand opening of the Ocean Terrance which was what our community needed! Great selections overall. We had the yellowtail Tiradito from the raw bar which was on my top items. Crispy rice with spicy tuna wasn't nice and over crispy . Japanese eggplant has a generous amount of maple miso glaze. It was served a little too hot. From the rolls we ordered three from bichi rolls; my favorite was Sakezo, my least favorite was zen by Naruto. HMmachiayatta was also delicious. We came in a cool day which made the outdoor seating nice and enjoyable, although I would question on a hot weather day. We ordered Japanese cheesecake and Jasmine tea to cap our dinner. My tea pot oddly already had tea in it which we sent back but that seems to be a minor oversight. Our server was Giancarlo's and he had great recommendations for us. The service was great to start with at the end they got busier so they slowed down a bit. Overall, we would recommend this spot and come back again. From the food to the service, everything here was FANTASTIC!! I live a few blocks away and have walked past Sushi Bichi nearly every day. We finally stopped in last month; what took us so long?! We sat at the bar for happy hour and started with the Yuzu vodka lemonade, which the bartender split into two glasses for us to share. We also ordered a bottle of excellent dry rose. For food, we had the crispy rice with spicy tuna, the lumpia shanghai roll, oysters, Japanese eggplant skewers and the sunomono noodle salad. The food was exquisitely prepared and presented. Not only was the food top notch, but the service was warm and friendly. We were taken care of by Jojo and the owner, James, was mingling with the guests, ensuring everyone was happy. Sushi Bichi is his baby, and he clearly cares that everything is perfect. One item to note - there is only outdoor seating, although it is covered. I rarely write reviews but our experience tonight was exceptional. My girlfriends and I planned a weekend staycation and decided to head out for dinner at Sushi Bichi. The food and drinks were delicious but what made our experience unique was our server, Skai. She was so attentive and knowledgeable. Her suggestions were spot on. As a Miami native, it is so difficult to feel like you are being taken care of at a restaurant, primarily on the beach. But Skai proved that hospitality is alive and well. I was most impressed with her attention to detail. She anticipated our appetizer order and had it brought out to us with our drinks. She expertly paced the meal and checked on us often, even surprising us with a matcha tres leches for dessert. What really impressed me was the moment my friend accidentally spilled a bit of her drink on her white dress. None of us at the table noticed it but Skai walked over and handed my friend a can of club soda to help her get the stain out. She saw the incident even though the rest of us at the table missed it.
