Our dining partners arrived and we were seated in the main dining space with a nice view of Elliott Bay though it was overcast late afternoon. Our server Brian was great; attentive, welcoming and offering great suggestions! We began dinner ordering the Dungeness Crab + Avocado Roll and Calamari as appetizers, both were delicious. Two in the dinner party ordered the Herb Crusted Slow Roasted Prime Rib (they loved it). My wife ordered the DUNGENESS CRAB + SHRIMP FETTUCCINI which received a thumbs up and I selected the SEAFOOD TRIO which included Dungeness crabcake, salmon, shrimp with Yukon mashed potatoes seasonal vegetable and beurre blanc. My only complaint regarding this dish was the portion size of the salmon fillet (way too small). I did choose to elevate this entree by adding a 5oz lobster tail and additional grilled shrimp. Both were great! Regarding the salmon, I suggest that the kitchen reevaluate the size of the salmon fillet for this dish. I think there's a Thai restaurant across the parking lot from here. We go in and wow, this is a nicer buffet than most other one's I've been to. The dining area is very large and clean. I see the prices on a sign. Looks like about $30 for dinner, plus they add the tip of 10%. I guess that's about standard to leave for a tip at a self serve buffet. We get seated and head up to the buffet. Looks like they have a big sushi section and a Mongolian grill section as well. Looking at all the food, I'd say the quality is better than most buffet I go to in CA. The dishes just look better. I'm gonna say in general, the food in the Seattle is a higher quality and more foodie oriented than down where I live. I even tried some of the sushi and it was seemed as good as any all you can eat place. Normally sushi at a buffet is something I avoid. I had ribs and some shellfish seafood and various other American Chinese foods. I did see a few more authentic dishes that I couldn't exactly tell what it was, so I guess it means it was authentic! Several entrées were empty and not refilled promptly. They also charge extra for soda, coffee, and tea, which adds even more to the cost. On September 28, 2025, I dined at this so-called "premium" sushi restaurant, and it was, without exaggeration, one of the most disappointing dining experiences of my life. This place has strong reviews, but the reason is a bribe of a free soda for leaving a 5-star review, which is advertised on every table. This manipulative tactic sets the tone for the deceit that permeates the entire experience. The restaurant's "premium" branding is a complete facade. Their website boasts an enticing menu with several items marked as premium, but none of these are actually available. For example, hamachi was listed as "sold out," yet a glance at the chef's counter revealed a substantial portion sitting untouched, clearly reserved for some undisclosed purpose. The same went for uni and several other fish varieties, all mysteriously unavailable despite being advertised. This isn't just poor inventory management; it feels like a deliberate bait-and-switch to lure customers in. The food quality was terrible. Every roll was a packed with heaping loads of rice, and topped with slivers of seafood or fish buried within. The entirety of the menu is a loop of crab salad, stale tempura, and old, minced fish marketed as premium sushi. Specific disappointments included the fried jalapeño with spicy crab--unavailable. No ponzu sauce (according to the staff), yet there are rolls which could be ordered that contained ponzu (according to the menu). The wasabi was artificial paste. The shrimp tempura was stale, precooked, and refried in old oil that left a greasy, unpleasant aftertaste. Service was equally bad. The servers were practically ghosts, barely checking in and slow paced. We ordered a selection of nigiri and sashimi, only to wait an excruciating 43 minutes for it to arrive--lukewarm, uninspired, and barely edible. The entire meal felt like a chore, with no redeeming qualities to justify the $80 price tag for two. I've had better sushi from a grocery store cooler. This place is a masterclass in false advertising, subpar food, and nonexistent service. Save your time, money, and appetite for literally anywhere else. A complete waste of an evening. read more

If you're a sushi lover looking for a great spot, Sushi% Ayce is an absolute gem. The moment you step inside, you're greeted by a clean, minimalist ambiance that instantly sets the tone for a relaxing dining experience. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable, making great recommendations if you're unsure what to order. The sushi itself is the star, with fish that's incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. The chef's selection of sashimi is a must-try, offering a variety of melt-in-your-mouth slices of tuna, salmon, and yellowtail. They also have an impressive selection of specialty rolls, balancing flavors like sweet eel with spicy mayo and crisp tempura. Another standout is their omakase experience, where the chef curates a meal tailored to your taste. It's a bit pricier but totally worth it if you want something memorable. The care and precision in each dish make it clear that this place takes its sushi seriously. Whether you're sitting at the bar watching the chefs work their magic or enjoying a quiet booth, the atmosphere is laid-back but refined, perfect for both casual dining and special occasions. And don't skip the miso soup or green tea to round out your meal! For sushi fans, Sushi% Ayce is a must-visit that combines quality, creativity, and excellent service. read more

I visited this AYCE sushi spot recently, and overall it was a decent experience with some highs and lows. The biggest highlight was definitely the freshness of the sashimi -- everything tasted clean, well-prepared, and of good quality. The salmon and tuna, in particular, were buttery and flavorful, which is impressive for an all-you-can-eat place. Not impressed. This AYCE sushi spot seriously underdelivered. The only real standouts were the escolar and salmon -- everything else was just eh at best. Mediocre quality across the board, with some fish tasting bland or just off. Definitely not the kind of place where you feel good about what you're putting in your mouth. To make things worse, the food came out ridiculously slow. It felt like they were dragging their feet on purpose to limit how much you could order. Each round took forever, and it made the whole meal feel like a waiting game rather than something enjoyable. And don't even get me started on the nigiri. They loaded it with so much rice it was laughable -- totally unbalanced and clearly a tactic to fill you up fast. If you're thinking of checking this place out, save your money and your time. There are way better AYCE spots out there that don't make you wait 20 minutes for a pile of rice and a sliver of fish. read more

My family was really excited for an all-you-can-eat sushi experience, but unfortunately this place was disappointing from start to finish. The sushi quality was mediocre at best -- the fish didn't taste fresh, the rolls were overloaded with rice and sauce to mask the lack of flavor, and the variety was surprisingly limited for an all-you-can-eat menu. Service didn't help either. Plates took forever to arrive, even when the restaurant wasn't busy, and when they did, some of the items were wrong or missing. Staff didn't seem interested in checking in or making sure customers were taken care of, and it honestly felt like they were hoping you'd give up on ordering more. On top of that, the atmosphere wasn't great -- tables were sticky, the floor looked like it hadn't been cleaned thoroughly, and the whole place had a rushed, careless vibe. For the price, this just isn't worth it. If you want decent sushi, you'd be better off going to a regular sushi restaurant and paying for quality over quantity. All-you-can-eat should feel fun and generous, but this felt like corners were cut everywhere. Definitely won't be returning. read more

As I write this I have been sitting here for the last 15 minutes waiting for the waiter to call. Overall, the experience was worse than expected. If there were many parties here, I would have understood, but it is not even packed yet and brother made me wait for so long. As soon as we walked in, the server didn't serve us water, but everyone around us did. He came back three times to cross the water. Now the food was fine. When we ordered the food sat on the counter for at least 7 minutes. Keep in mind, I'm sitting right next to the sushi bar so I can see everything. Its signature glass bottle, sealed with a marble, not only evokes nostalgia but also sets the stage for a unique drinking experience. Upon release, the carbonation is lively and invigorating, delivering an effervescent burst that enhances the subtle sweetness of its flavors. The delicate balance between citrus notes and a gentle sugar profile is where Ramune truly shines, offering a refreshing experience without overwhelming the palate. We came here to have dinner on a Thursday night and the place was busy. They really mean it when they say there's a 90-minute time limit for dining in, which obviously would be rude if you were in Europe. But we're not in Europe. We're in Seattle's Chinatown-International District where everyone is waiting to get into Tendon Kohaku even on a weekday. Our server mentioned that this was the only location where we could get the eel in the US, so that was a no-brainer for all of us. I ended up getting the eel don set, which was the grilled eel on top of rice and for an additional charge, I added uni. Everything was fantastic! Every morsel melted in my mouth, with the perfectly cooked grill and uni to complement it for some added creaminess. Noms! As I'm writing this, I'm remembering it all and am salivating. Everything you order here is delicious even if you don't get the eel (which you really should at this location). We had a great time, with delicious food and efficient service. For when I want some grilled eel in CID, I know where to go.

Fuji Sushi, thank you for being so good to me…read more I was looking for a Japanese restaurant for my last dinner of my weekend Seattle trip. It was between here and two other restaurants, a block away. I ended up going with my gut - that was guided by the photos and reviews that other Yelp Elites wrote. Definitely did it right. The host seated me promptly and gave me a seat by the window. It wasn't particularly busy, which allowed the staff to chat and really serve the patrons. I started with a Lychee lemonade - perfect drink since I wanted something fancy but non-alcoholic. While waiting, I noticed the set up of the restaurant. There was a private room for larger parties where you can sit on the futons on the ground. There was paper wall and a beautiful image of cherry blossom tree covering it. When the server came back, I decided on the Salmon Gozen set. They have 5 different set items for their Dinner Gozen, where you get to try a bit of everything. The 'mini chirashi' really sold me and although a bento sounded good, this appeared to be a lot more curated. Well I got what I wanted and more. It ended up being such a treat and a great presentation of many bites. I left feeling completely satisfied. The staff continued to come by to check up on me and it made for a great experience. Thank you for your hospitality, Fuji Sushi.

Prices are reasonable, some of the dishes were not quite impressive. Friendly service was spotty too and unorganized. Hot food was best, collar was large and meaty. Veggie tempura was fresh and included various types. Tuna sashimi was abit tough, thinner slices would have been ideal. Busy local place , just keep perspective in mind for a good basic meal.

We got seated immediately and it went kind of busy the whole time. It's a pretty small place so it's easier to get a spot with small group of people instead of big group, you might have to wait longer. We got Onigiri and I highly recommend salmon with ikura and mentaiko special! That two are my most favorites!!! The agedashi tofu was okay, didn't expect that texture. The tofu was not crunchy but more mochi texture and the sauce/broth is like overly thick. Not really our favorite. The katsu don was really good too!! We went back again and tried the roast duck, which was also delicious and I loved that they game us duck breast pieces as most take-away places give you drum sticks and back meat with only a bit of the duck breast- but we got all breast meat. There is no dark or white meat with duck- it's all dark meat, but some are more meaty parts than others. We ended up eating here twice and after we left, my son went back on his own as he loved it so much- and the prices are quite reasonable. We are from the San Francisco Area and sadly most of the really good Hong Kong deli type shops have closed down or just aren't as good any longer. We loved the texture of the roast port skin. Nice and thin but crispy and crackly the way it should be- from a young tender suckling pig.

There was no garlic at all, but what I did get was a pretty large appetizer that did its job and more. The main dish, the hotstone beef bibimbap, was a lot worse. Firstly, this came with ground beef rather than the beef slices I was expecting. The rice at the bottom was dry like it should be in a clay pot, but lacking really any of that slightly-burnt, hard qualities that makes a clay pot rice what it is. It just tasted dry. But the ground beef was probably the worst part. It was dry, lacking in really any seasoning, and the portion was tiny. I'd finished the beef with still half the bowl remaining. This was not a bibimbap I would come back to at all. Overall, there are way too many better places in the international district for me to ever recommend this. 5/10
