I love the las Vegas roll its my go to every time. Some appetizers are a hit or miss in my opinion. The service also, sometimes we have the best time but one time I had a server tell me "good luck being broke" after telling him about just having a kid before we even ordered which was the worse experience even when he said he had kids himself. Followed by an order of beef fried rice now the veggies in their beef fried rice was obviously frozen you can obviously tell by the way they tasted the beef tasted like flank kind of on the bland side but I looked past it with the amazing chicken teriyaki that my boyfriend ordered it had nice chunks of flavorful chicken in a tasty teriyaki sauce with sliced onions and carrots next to a bed of fluffy steamed rice. SERVER (STACY), who was not even our server pretty much committed battery. I was on a girls night date with my two best friends sitting at a four person table. . They were in two seats on th same side, and I was in the inside chair on the opposite side. In the chair to my left, I had my calves resting on the chair. (feet not touching the chair whatsoever). No alcohol, just trying to joy our evening out. Our food arrived, and we were in the midst of trying to eat when Stacy bumped into the chair that my legs were resting on, or so we thought she bumped into it. She then literally scolded me like a child WHILE PHYSICALLY SHAKING THE CHAIR. we were all in absolute disbelief so I don't even think we were able to get a word out before she proceeded to shake the chair while stating "get your feet down. Tried to go for the first time on Friday night at 8pm. They don't close until 930pm. There were 4-5 tables taken with plenty of open tables. When we walked in they said they were out of sushi rice. Disappointing for a sushi place but no worries, said we could order anything else from the kitchen. We looked at the menu for a minute and decided to stay. About a year ago we noticed a pretty significant prioritization of online orders. The last two times we have been we have been turned away at the door. The first time they locked the doors a half hour before their closing time both online and posted on the door. Decided to order lunch pickup from this spot because it was a go-to for my boyfriend. Unfortunately we will not be returning after this past experience. We placed an order over the phone and were told it would take about 20-30 minutes. We showed up about 25 minutes in and waited around for about 15-20 minutes until we were finally were told it would take another 10. We were also told that the hot items (tempura and edamame) were done, they were waiting on the rolls. After informing the waitress we had been waiting for almost an hour, she brushed it off and was not apologetic at all. When we arrived home, the hot food was cold and much less appetizing. The best rolls out of the ones we ordered ended up being the California rolls despite trying out the specialty ones as well. Some of the baked rolls ended up being cold and soggy due to the wait. She didn't return for some time, walking by our table at least twice without acknowledging us (we wanted to order dessert) then came by and dropped the credit card machine off at our table. So we paid our bill on the machine and waited a bit longer to ask for to go containers for our leftovers... after about ten minutes of waiting she had again not returned or acknowledged us in any way so I went to the counter myself and grabbed our containers so we could leave. A shame that service was so terrible, as we would have ordered more and would have returned for the decent food and convenient location for us. We ordered sake bombs and jalapeño poppers to start that came out quickly. Rather than being stuffed with cream cheese, the poppers are filled with crab- so yummy! I went with the philly (8 pcs) and Las Vegas (6 pcs) rolls. My husband ordered the noodles and beef and went home with a ton of leftovers. She asked that I order her a Philly roll. Although I had never ordered a Philly roll before and didn't know what was in it. I pointed to it on the gappy hour menu and asked the waitress if this contained just cream cheese and salmon? She said yes and therefore I said, please add cucumbers. When the 2 orders came out, it had salmon, avocados and cucumbers. My friend said she was allergic to cucumbers. We asked the waitress if we can exchange it without cream cheese. The Asian girl who was supposedly speaking for the owner said that the owner will not accept the exchange. So what wait?! She was implying that we needed to pay for it although no one touched it. Finally she said she would make the waitress pay for it which we felt was wrong. The whole experience just reaffirmed it for me. Won't be coming back. There are many other sushi spots in town that aren't pretentious and self serving with better sushi. read more
