I took my daughter to Surprise Nails & Spa because she had a specific design that she wanted on her nails. My daughter wanted to know the cost first because she was paying for her own and her friend was also getting the same design. We went in, showed the picture of the design and asked how much it would cost with gel polish for that specific design & colors. Four people looked at the picture and the lady told us $60. We scheduled appointments for the 2 teenagers to get their nails done. When the nail tech was finished, she told the girls it would be $70 each plus tip. I wasn't there and my daughter was too afraid to speak up to say that's not the price she was told. It's disappointing because the teenager girls were on a budget and that $10 makes a difference to them. read more

I was really hoping to like this salon. The staff was nice. The place was clean. They had a decent selection of colors. But when the gel polish on five of my ten fingernails peel after four days, I couldn't give the salon a positive review. I'm new to Surprise; the polish from my old salon would stay for three to four weeks without peeling. Less than one week is unacceptable. I won't be returning. read more

I called to see if they had availability, i had an acrylic nail i needed to be fixed and then a color change on the rest. Front desk girl put me on hold to ask and came back saying yes they had availability. I go in and she asked me again exactly what i needed, I explained to her, even asked how much it was going to be to fix it. She came back, told me the price and someone came and brought me to a chair. I sat down explained again to the girl working on me what I was wanting to do, she started filing the polish off all of my toes. Then asked if I wanted a fill, in which I did not need one. When I told her I just wanted that nail fixed she said I cant do that. Mind you she just polished off all my polish after knowing EXACTLY what I wanted done. She starts saying no she's not going to do that and gets up and says she's not doing it, it can be done. Then some other girl comes up and says , they couldn't do it and I needed to go elsewhere. She took all of my polish off and because she didn't want to do it, said go somewhere else??!!!! Are you actually kidding me, I was in complete shock, and extremely embarrassed. One of the girls there getting a pedicure called when she left and couldn't believe what they had just done and would never be going back. Before she called me, she was telling a mutual friend about what happened and that person said she knows 2 other friends that had bad experiences. One friend they were cutting her cuticles, and kept cutting her skin making her bleed. Then another one had a pedicure and when scraping her heels with the cheese grater thingy, went so aggressive her skin was raw and then putting in the water burned. She ended up getting a bad infection and had to get a prescription of bactrim ointment. This is by far the RUDEST, UNPROFESSIONAL, DISRESPECTFUL nail salon i have ever been to!!!! Not only are they unprofessional, but they are unsanitary. The sinks they use to give pedicures were FILTHY!!! I'm contacting the BBB, places like this need to be shut down for multiple reasons. AVOID THIS PLACE. Moved to the area and went looking for a new nail salon. The day I went was great, got taken right at my appointment time, got a gel mani and gel pedi. One toe started chipping after 1 week. 2 of my nails started chipping (one had gel completely off it) after 1 week as well. I went back since they say the gel will last 2-3 weeks. They fixed my nails, I tipped, and I was off on y merry way. THE NEXT FREAKING DAY 2 MORE NAILS CHIPPED! I get so aggrieved when stuff like this happens. If your gel is old, don't be cheap, just get new gel polish. So disappointed in this place. Had an appointment scheduled for next week but I'll definitely be canceling. Even when I went in to get my chipped nails fixed, they would speak in their language, and then 3 or 4 of the ladies doing services would stare at me with gawking eyes and nasty looks as if I were lying because my polish chipped. I'm sorry but this is America. If you have something to say about me, you need to say only in English that way I can at least defend myself to you. Rude rude rude. If I could put zero stars I would... I moved to surprise a month ago and was looking for a new nail place. I had been to this salon a few months ago with my sister in law and it was awesome I loved my nails. Today I went to get a full set at about 3 o'clock. It wasn't busy or anything and they said they had time for me. I took a seat and waited and then they told me they had someone ready for me. Then all of a sudden I was told he couldn't do what I wanted so I went back to sit down to then be told he could do my nails. After all that confusion I sat down with the gentleman and he started by taking off my old grown out set. He then started to drill my nails to get ready for the tips and Out of no where I feel a prick and my finger starts to drip blood on the towel. No big deal it's happened before BUT he literally put his finger on the open cut to stop the bleeding. I immediately get up and tell him I'm gonna go wash my hands. After that I sit back down and he starts doing my nails as normal. He gets about half way done laying the acrylic powder on my right hand and they tell him he has an appointment at 4. They all were confused and he looked at me and said "I only been here a few days so I'm confused". They tell him after he lays the acrylic someone will take over to finish my nails. That's fine I don't care I was a walk-in, again this has happened to me before and not a big deal. Anyway he finishes up laying the acrylic on all my nails and they looked good just needed to be filled down but that's how the process works. He starts to file my nails and is EXTREMELY ROUGH. Literally FILING my skin down and it hurts so bad. So I pull away and he apologizes and continues. Well he filed so much that you could see my natural nail at the beginning of my nail bed. It looks horrible, but I don't say anything because I thought maybe it would look different once the top coat is put on. Nope it gets put on and it looks awful. There's A HAIR stuck in the gel and my skin is so red and burning. Now it's about 5 (the lady who had the appointment had been sitting there for an hour) so he's rushing to finish my nails so he could go do her pedicure. I walk up to the receptionist and he hands her my ticket. I quietly talk to her and say "I hate to be that person but these are awful, he cut me three times and filed my skin down. And there's a hair in one of them, I don't want to be mean" She looks up at me with an apologetic look and says "no be that person, I'm sorry they look awful. Let me go get my boss". So the boss walks out and looks mad and loudly says "what's wrong with them" I then say "he filed my skin down and he cut me three times, and there's a hair in one of them". At this point I was done. She then says "well I can fix them it'll only take 10 minutes" at this point they were hurting so bad I was shaking. I told her no that they were hurting to bad and I didn't want anyone to touch them. She then says "okay well it's 50 dollars" I told her "I can't pay that, they're awful and they hurt" she says "well it's either that or we take them off" I said "NO they hurt so bad my nails are so brittle and short , I can't do that" she then says "just leave, just leave" and makes a shooing motion with her hands. I still can't believe this happened to me, I've never had an experience like this. I thought maybe I could come back in a few days when they grow out a bit and they would redo them. Especially after the receptionist validated my feelings. I wasn't rude or anything I tried to say this all quietly so I didn't hurt the gentlemens feeling, but the attitude that came out the owners face was as unacceptable. I had a great experience before this but now I'm left with bloody uneven and hairy nails that I have to wait til they grow out. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE WHAT SO EVER. read more

I love this place!! This is the first time I had met Tony an amazing nail tech but he's now gone from there. I wish he would have stayed. But there is SHAWN, he's FABULOUS! His technique and art is amazing! He's very talkative and personable! He will have you laughing and not feeling awkward due to silence. This place has some great nail techs with personality. The owner has done a great job with her staff and the place is just so modern. So far they've been honest and they do a great job! They fix things if you're not happy. I came in for a pedicure on 9/15/19. I only had 30-45 minutes to get one done because I had left my kids and husband at Luv 2 Play across the street. I thought hey, let me get them done if they're not busy. I asked SEVERAL times "is there a wait?" And they said no we can take you now. I sat in the chair with my feet soaking for over half an hour. I got there at 3 and by 3:36 I was still sitting in my chair so I got up and left. This is ridiculous. People have things to do! I would not have been upset if they just told me that there was a wait. I would've just came back another time. But they wasted over half an hour of time. I could've gone somewhere else in that time. I am very disappointed to say after 5 or 6 years I will never be going back to Surprise Nails &Spa. I started going to the salon before they switched shops. After my last experience and being treated the way I was I will be on the search for a new nail salon. I went in for the first time ever to get my nails fixed. 1 time in 5 or 6 years is not bad I would say, however I was told that putting a matte gel over a powder dip is wrong and "I" should not do that. I do not do nails and I did not request for them to be done that way. I got my dip manicure on Tuesday and by Thursday the top coat was peeling off so I went in to get them fix which I would have tipped him for if he had not been so rude about it. On top of his comment he was very rough while fixing my nails. I am so disappointed. read more

So unhappy with their customer service. I've been coming here every 2 weeks since January when I moved here from GA. I kept coming because I didn't want to go through the trouble of finding a new nail place and they did a decent job just very unfriendly. Well the other day was the last straw for me. I came in at 6:30 needing a fill (they close at 7). When I walked in someone asked what I needed and after I told them they said okay they'd be able to take me. So I start looking for a color, dabbing my nail with various colors to see which one i wanted. About 5 minutes later she walks back up to me and says on second thought they won't be able to take me. I'm like really? There's no way anyone can see me? They just told me they would and now I have random colors all over my nail. I mentioned the fact that I'm a loyal customer but that didn't matter. I was so so upset, especially because I was leaving out of town 1st thing in the morning and had to leave without a fill. I own a business and I know FIRST hand that customer service and how you take care of your customers is what separates a good business from an EXCELLENT business.
