Start off by saying the ladies are very polite and I was seated as soon as a I arrived. Taking a look at the menu I saw I wanted a Regular Mani/pedi with removal of old gel acrylic set and french tip on hands no gel. Thinking I was paying $66 for this. My pedicure was great simple gel removal and 1color. My hands were another story: you can see in pics the base color is bumpy and streaky and french tip is messy and uneven. As a nail tech you know what looks good and what doesn't. You can tell when you're not doing a good job and when it looks flawless. With that said I shouldn't have to be that customer that has to tell you and be nitpicking your work the entire time. My nail tech had someone else do the French tip and then I was off to pay. I'm quoted $83, I ask for a breakdown of the price. Cash Price: Regular Manicure $30 Regular Pedicure $20 Gel removal on toes $8 Acrylic Removal on hands $10 French tip w/base color $15 Tech told me gel removal was $8 extra that's all I was not told my French tip was $15 instead of posted $8 Because I had chosen a base color. And the fact that they charge you twice for gel removal (hands & feet) is a bit overboard. I paid but will not be returning as I feel I was overcharged for them underperforming on a basic mani/pedi, pictures speak for themselves. read more

Me and my friends got seated quickly that was the only good thing about my experience. Other then that, the lady who did my pedicure was rough, when she started filing my nails, she did it so short to where I felt the nail file grinding against my skin, it was painful, and then she started to push back whatever cuticles she saw on my toes and clip them, as she was clipping around my pinky toe, (I don't know why) but she started ripping the skin from under my pinky toe and I just looked at my friend next to me because I felt like I was about to cry. When it came time for painting my nails, she got the gel on my big toe skin and proceeded to cure the gel (, I tried separating the gel from my skin at home but it hurt to much so I stopped). While she was curing my toes, she's kept putting the UV lamp on my toes so it was messing up my nail polish. I also asked for the VIP pedicure which is $45 + gel nail polish which is $20. Everything that was included was not done, all that I got was a sugar scrub. My friend next to me got the same VIP pedicure, they got wax, the scrub, a massage, they even got lotion , I didn't even get lotion. But anyways, it's been two days since I got my pedicure and my gel polish is already bubbling up. I'm glad I was just visiting because I would never go there again. read more

"DO NOT COME HERE FOR FACIAL WAXING" I had visited "K Pretty Nails & Spa" for a pedicure and manicure before and it was mediocre, it got the job done. However I have never got my eyebrows and lip done here. On June 28 at 9 am, I came in for an eyebrow wax and it was also the first day of my new job. The establishment was empty and a young lady in her mid 20s with short hair took me to the back room. Mind you a license was placed on the wall in this room. She began my wax, and immediately I felt that the wax wasn't too hot but enough to stick on my face. She had started on my right eyebrow. After she pulled off the first strip, she did not apply pressure which left a little sting. She then moved on to my left eyebrow and placed the not so hot wax under my brow. She left it on for about a minute, which got me a little scared. She then pulled off the strip and I began to feel a burning sensation under my brow. I said "ow" and she looked at it and looked at me saying " Oh you're not hurt". My heart was racing because I felt it burning but nothing would come out of my mouth. She moved onto trimming them. After that she got a cotton ball with no solution ( Witch Hazel or Aloe) and rubbed the dry cotton ball over my brows where she placed the wax; this hurt even more. She then gave me a mirror. My eyebrows were shaped but under both brows were a faint inflammation, especially under the left. I thought to myself, yk maybe the redness will go away, I'll just use water. I paid $20 for both an eyebrow and lip wax and an additional $3 for paying with a debit card, altogether $23. About an hour and a half after the appointment, my left eyebrow was burning and became swollen. I went back to the establishment with my mother for a refund and a copy of their license. I went in and the lady who had done my wax was there. They had told us that we could not have a copy of their license number because the owner was on vacation and he had held all their license. Like I said before, in the back room where I got my eyebrows done there was a license placed on the wall. While we were speaking about my abrasion, they kept touching us, holding our hands apologizing. The young lady who did my eyebrows was rude to my mother basically initiating us to hurry and leave because there were other clients in the establishment. In the end, we did not get their license and they had told us to come back in two weeks to speak to the owner, we also had left our information there with them. Do not come here for anything, really, their customer service was very unpleasant. I would not want this to happen to anyone. read more

I love how they do nails here!! My only issue is how do they figure out pricing?! I've been here for several months I get the same set every time, same shape same gel polish and the price is always different. That's the most frustrating part of going to this salon. I was just passing through Phoenix and needed to pass some time, my friend recommended this place. It's cute, they were friendly and it was clean. I was seated immediately in the pedicure chair which was in good shape and even featured a disposable plastic cover in the sink, that's the first time I've ever seen that. They even had two little chairs for kids, so cute! The lady put foil on my fingers to remove the gel manicure set and began my pedicure. I didn't utilize the massage chair so IDK if it worked or not but the pedi was good, I'd never had hot rocks before but she did that and the hot towel so I was pleased. Then we moved to her station to complete my manicure. Which could've been better, I had to tell her to cover the whole nail as she was getting in the crevices. It's been 4 days and the polish looks a bit thick but no chips and I really like the color. read more

Every time I schedule an appointment at this place they always make me wait a very long time sometimes longer then 30 minutes even with an appointment. If your a long nail girl I do not recommend this place. I recently went to this nail salon for a pedicure and full set. I first talked to the lady that did my nails and showed her the first picture and she said to get the french tip in the picture she had to do gel polish which I didn't understand because gel doesn't make a difference in french tip and I understand for it lasting however she was also trying to convince me to get gel on for the pedicure, I had said I did not want gel polish but she told me I couldn't get that design unless I got gel. She also asked if I wanted my nails that length which I said almost just a little shorter she then she gave me the total of 78$ just for the full set. After I had got my pedicure and started my acrylics and she went to cut the nails to size first cut it way shorter that what I pointed to and I said that's way to short so I showed her how long I wanted them, she then cut the next one less than a centimeter longer and I said that was too short and she told me it would be an extra $5 per nail if I went longer than the pinky because the pinky was medium and that she charges extra for any longer. I thought I probably heard her wrong and she meant $5 more total, nope she said $5 each nail. I was shocked and I rarely say anything when I dislike something and that's on me so I just kept quiet and hoped for the best. The techs here are really sweet. They work together and help each other out to get the job done faster. I've been here twice and had a pedi, dipped nails, and eyebrow wax. The experience was great! The techs took their time and did an amazing job. They require tips in cash instead of on your card. There is an atm available with a $1 fee. If you pay for your services in cash there is a discount. Only choosing 1 star because I have to. My daughter and I came here for mani-pedi. She's 10. I asked for the child mani-pedi on the menu when we walked in and stated her age. The cost for that in print is $25. At time of payment, they charged $35 for my daughter. When I asked why it was $10 more they (the same girl from when we walked in) said, and I quote, "she's a big girl. She's not 10." Ummm she's tall, but she's 10. I will never return here. I inquired about the service in advance and it's unacceptable to be charged more for something they assume based on personal judgement/opinion. She got regular paint on her nails and toes - no add ons. Also - this place on the outside wall says "Pretty Nails & Spa". On the printed menu it says "9 Pretty Nails & Spa" and my receipt says "K Pretty Nails & Spa"... something pretty strange about that. Why does a salon have 3 different names?
