    Chef John's Prime Rib Dip

Tried this place out today for dinner for our wedding anniversary. The restaurant is located around the downtown area and has its own parking lot. There is lots of booths and chairs. The vibe is very romantic and has candles at the tables. They also had a musician playing a guitar which was really nice. My husband had the sandwich with ribeye (I believe) and I had the fettuccini Alfredo, both were very delicious and tasty. He also had a Hazy and they had many options, I had the smoked mango and regular margarita which were great! We also had the tiramisu for our anniversary dessert and it was very nice of the restaurant to have it on the house. The waitress was very friendly and speedy. We can't wait to come back and try other foods.

    Prime Rib Wednesday.

10 of us came in for a cousins' couples dinner, and it was a fantastic experience! The food was outstanding, especially the perfectly cooked prime rib. The appetizers, drinks, and dinner were all so good that we forgot to take any pictures because we were too busy enjoying everything. Great food, great atmosphere, and great service--we can't wait to come back!

LOVEEE! The espresso martinis are so good. I got regular and my friend got a hazelnut. I am shocked I don't have to wait or make reservations for Surlas. Always amazing food, drinks, and service.

Absolutely amazing. My husband and I were going to Dustbowl brewery and last minute changed our mind and I will forever be grateful. Walking in to hear live music drew me in immediately. The staff was so friendly and immediately available. I personally like to eat pretty light and it's hard to find food that isn't bland when looking for clean, but they hit every number. From their ahi tuna poke to their cauliflower crust chicken pesto pizza I was impressed. New favorite date night place ever.

Overpriced, overhyped and understaffed. Just a FYI, these dinner entrees does not come with salad or soup on the side. The salads are not worth the price, especially the wedged one. Small and barely anything on the plate. Complementary bread and alcoholic drinks didn't come out until the main entree were being served. My table ordered the main entrees: seafood risotto, Korean kalabi ribs, braised short ribs, thai chicken curry and a poke bowl to go. The Thai chicken curry lacked flavor and the chicken was dry. The braised short ribs mediocre. I would not order it again. The seafood risotto was way too salty. Only the Korean kalabi ribs tasted decent. The dessert was delicious - crème brulee was a hit. The ambiance was dark/dimmed lighting and had like classical music in the background. P.S. I still do not understand that one SMALL shot of vodka costs $14.

It's quieter and less busy. You can tell the staff take pride in cleanliness and presentation of the restaurant. The pasta is definitely fresh/ homemade. I disagree STRONGLY with the other review that suggested it's pasta-roni style sauce. The ingredients are fresh and food was good. We've tried the Rigatoni, Gnocchi, Lasagna, Fettuccine, Lobster Ravioli, Mango Panna Cotta, and Torta Al Cioccolato and their fresh hot bread; all were enjoyable. When we've come the staff took some time to tell us a bit about the family history- passed along traditions and it's clear the recipes as well. This is a family-oriented legacy for these folks. And there's honor in that. If you're into just food, vibes, and low prices- this is NOT your venue. This is a place to celebrate a family (the owners) sharing a bit of themselves with you and yours. Note- people who complain typically mention price without thinking it's not just the food cost, but the lease, utilities, the insurance, staff wages. You're not going to get out to dinner here less than $60 for 2 (with a nominal tip and no booze). But THATS THE POINT- I'm thankful for the care, time, and heart that is put into each dish. We will be back and share this oddly-located, pretty tasty place with our friends and family.

I can't eat a lot at one time, so despite some adverse reviews I'd seen online about the fried calamari and shrimp, I went ahead and ordered it-and I'm so glad I did! It was hot, fresh, and perfectly cooked-not greasy at all! My hubby had the meatball sub-despite it not really being available during dinner hours, but he's not really a fan of pasta, so the waitress (and chef) kindly made special accommodations for him. We didn't ask, they helpfully offered to do so. Hubby said the red sauce was really good, and he enjoyed the sandwich. I felt bad because they appeared short staffed for the amount of business they had, and they had run out of a few things, but the pressed on gamely and made the best of it. All of the staff was kind and very helpful. We will definitely be going back again soon! I want to try the yummy sounding seafood risotto.

When we finally were, it took another eternity (about fifteen minutes) before our drink order was taken. Another seven or eight minutes later they finally showed up. My wife ordered a margarita which was bland and flavorless. I ordered the maple old fashioned which was overly sweet, had no flavor of maple at all, and was just overall terrible. After waiting another seven or eight minutes the waitress returned and I returned my cocktail and requested something simpler. That spun into another wait and she returned with a new drink which was better. Anyway we finally placed our order and to be honest I was worried. I had ordered the rib eye and I have to admit, to be fair, it wasn't bad. It was cooked to the correct temperature and the flavor was decent. The vegetables were cooked correctly. My wife's dish was good so I will acknowledge that. The atmosphere was nice. They recently expanded to provide additional seating. It's a little cramped feeling though. I realize they call themselves an upscale restaurant and compared to McDonald's it definitely is. I wouldn't personally call it an upscale dining experience though. If you struggle to make two of the basic cocktails I worry about the other details you are missing. And the service was some of the worst I have ever personally experienced.

I…read moredidn't read the menu because I walked directly to the window and specifically asked if they had a salmon meal. The lady told me yes, and that it came with mashed potatoes and vegetables. Perfect--that's exactly what I wanted. After taking a few bites, I realized the salmon was stuffed with shrimp, which is something I am allergic to. I immediately went back to explain what happened. Unfortunately, instead of apologizing or offering to remake the meal or provide a refund, the response was defensive, simply saying that it was listed on the menu. My issue is that I specifically asked the employee about the salmon meal, and she told me what it came with but never mentioned that the salmon was stuffed with shrimp. If I had known, I obviously would not have ordered it. When a customer tells you what they want and asks an employee directly, important ingredients--especially a common allergen like shrimp--should be clearly communicated. I was disappointed not only by the mistake, but even more by the lack of concern afterward. A simple apology and an effort to make the situation right would have made a big difference
