Warm, buttery, half-eaten croissant (couldn't get a pic fast enough haha)
Erin M.

I love dinner here so when I noticed they now do BRUNCH I was so excited to try it. I was not disappointed! The expansion space turned out so lovely, and they had live music starting in a bit, so we chose to eat in there. Very comfortable! Our server was super nice and took great care of us, but I'm a jerk and don't remember her name. Extra kudos for the service though! Now to the food - it all started with a warm, delicious, freshly made croissant sliced to share. An unexpected little treat to start off our visit. I had the roasted tomato and garlic crepe. Huge chunks of garlic (WHICH I LOVE) so if you order this on a date, make sure your partner eats some in self-defense. I cleared my plate - it was yummy. My daughter had a tiramisu crepe, and my son had the meatball sub which was so hearty he couldn't finish it. I look forward to returning to try out the pesto toast next time!

My fiance came to visit from San Diego and it's been hard to impress him with restaurants in Modesto, but he couldn't stop saying how delicious the food was here. We came for brunch & I'm absolutely in awe with this place. I can't believe I didn't come sooner. From the minute we walked in they greeted us with a friendly demeanor. I ordered a Carmel latte and it was made with love by Vinny. They brought out a delicate buttery warm croissant. Jenny was our server and she made the greatest recommendations. Jay is such a great chef, he made our Caprese and as something so simple, it was absolutely delightful. The chef in the back of the house made a phenomenal minestrone soup (made to order) I had to get some extra to go. Not to mention the pasta was made from scratch with rich flavorful sauces. This will definitely be my go to Italian place. Thank you everyone for such a great experience.

Grilled veggies and egg and amazing option for us vegetarians.

We have been coming to Gusto Italiano for over a year now. We are so happy with the service very professional and friendly. The food is always fresh and full of flavor! They have wonderful vegetarian options as well and are always very accommodating. And we love the full bar! Would recommend to everyone. And Karaoke every Sunday at 8pm is a must for me!

Amazing!! First time trying Gusto Italiano and I will be back. Right when we sat down the owner came over and made us feel at home. Everything looked amazing so we asked him to just keep bringing us food so we can try it all. Everything that came out was prepared perfectly and had great flavor. The seafood was fresh, pasta was cooked to perfection and the flavors were insane. The wild boar was the most surprising. Wasn't sure how I would like it but it was one of my favorites. Even after eating a lot more than I usually do, I didn't feel heavy or weighted down like I would when I eat pasta. This is so fresh and homemade that it doesn't give you that feeling. It is a very cozy spot and it is a great place for a group of friends that like to share, laugh, enjoy wine and have a good time.

A hidden gem for sure! Authentic fresh pasta with fresh ingredients. Staff was very knowledgeable and assisted us with our sons allergies. We enjoyed the service the menu. Desserts were outstanding. Can't wait to be back.

I been wanting to try this place for a long time. I can't believe it took me this long to try them out. I was very pleased from start to finish. The service was excellent, the food was amazing and I was ultra impressed with the waitress explaining we can get gravy made with no pork and also for next time to ask for our home fried potatoes to also be cooked in non pork fat. ( I told her We don't eat pork ) It is so hard to find a place that offers no pork in their gravy. They went the extra mile to make us special non pork gravy on the spot, amazing. Also they fried our home fried potatoes in non pork oil, thats the extra extra mile of care and service and attending to a customers needs, I was completely satisfied. I cant wait to try more of the menu. Everything we ordered was good. The cinnamon bun was so good, I would go there just for that alone, yummy and fresh and moist and soft and so much frosting and yes I said and alot, AND? Haha Pro tip: if you dont eat pork ask for them to cook your potatoes in non pork oil and if you want gravy ask them to make non pork gravy. You have to mention it to your server, dont forget. Now go & enjoy, you can thank me later. Make reservations if possible or go on a slow day, the weekends are packed but worth the wait. They have alot of seating inside.

I was excited when I found The Bussdown on Instagram last year and have been waiting in anticipation to try their food ever since. I noticed they started posting on their feed again and was excited when they announced that they'd be open from 2pm-7pm. I attempted to call in my order but had no response. Determined to try it, I drove to their site and saw they were still taking orders, so I got in line. When it was my turn to be helped, I was informed their fryers were down. They had other options, so I ordered the brisket, candied yams, + mac and cheese, and for dessert, caramel biscoff banana pudding. The total came out to $31. The lady that took my order said it would take about 20 minutes. 40 minutes later she informed me that they were just finishing up with my order, but they ran out of caramel for the dessert. When I finally got the food 5 minutes later, I took it to my car and gave it a try. I was disappointed off the bat. Apart from the food being lukewarm/on the colder end, I felt like the price I paid was not worth what I got. The Mac and cheese was not like anything I've tried before. It tasted like it had gorgonzola cheese which was not what i had expected/enjoyed. I thought the yams were tasty but lacking a punch. The brisket was tender but either needed to be seasoned a bit more or have more bbq sauce. The biscoff banana pudding was primarily Bananas, whipped cream, biscoff cookie and butter with a little bit of banana pudding. I really wanted to like the food but was disappointed with the whole experience.

Delicious! This was…read moremy first time dining at Tresetti's and I had a great experience! My friend and I made a reservation for 7:00 pm on a Saturday. We were sat immediately in the intimate, candle lit dining room. There are only a few tables in the side dining room which makes the experience feel more exclusive from the bustling bar area. The table spread felt very upscale and chic - with simple white linens and a small tealight candle. At this time, it was surprisingly empty in the dining room. I believe only one or two tables were occupied. It was quiet and very peaceful. The server came quickly to take our drink order. We ordered two Ranch Waters, which came out quickly also. They were quite strong to say the least and very affordable! For our entree, we split the Pan Seared Pistachio Salmon. There is a $5 fee to split the plate which is slightly annoying but understandable. The food was absolutely incredible. The salmon had a lovely crust and was super soft. The couscous and carrots were very flavorful. They were perfectly seasoned and garlicky. Despite being split, the portion was perfect. The salmon filet was quite large and filling. When we made the reservation online, we noted that we were celebrating a birthday. Towards the conclusion of our meal, we were pleasantly surprised with three dessert options, of which my friend selected some sort of chocolate pie or cake. It was also incredible. The crust was crunchy and the chocolate was decadent. It did not feel heavy to eat at all. What really made our night, however, was the card they brought for the birthday girl. They surprised her with a card signed by all the employees which I thought was a super sweet touch. We had a great experience and will definitely be back!

This worked fine for us. We had our menus and drinks in a reasonable time, and had a relaxing time throughout. We both had the pulled pork sandwich along with the ice tea. My friend, whom I realized often fusses about the meals we share, was more critical. His comments were "Wrong bun, hamburger bun shoulda been an onion bun" and "How long does it take to make a sandwich?" (The wait time was totally reasonable to me.) He didn't like the potato salad (but ate it all with little time spared). He liked the meat in the sandwich, giving it a 5 out of 5. He liked the service less (I felt it was on point and just fine.) Since it took so long, I ended up taking the food home. I did try it later, but I wasn't very impressed. That may have been because the food was cold by the time I ate it, as it sat for quite a while before it was brought to me. While I truly appreciated the manager's efforts and customer service, the long wait time and overall food experience left me disappointed.

Here, you order your food, grab a number, and find your own seat for the food to be brought out to you. We sat at a table outside to decide what to order. There were no menus available so we just had to search for it online before heading inside to order. Despite being third in line from the register, we had an extremely long wait to order. There was only one person running the register who also had to make the drinks, meaning the service incredibly slow. We wanted to order the five taco platter, garlic fries, chicken Caesar salad, and mimosa pitcher. Sadly, we were only able to get the pitcher and salad. The cashier told us "sorry, we aren't doing fries right now." Not doing fries? Every plate in the vicinity had fries on them. She said that because it was brunch hour, only food on the brunch menu could be ordered. We looked at the brunch menu again and literally saw garlic fries as an option as a side for the burgers/sandwiches. No where did it specify that you can't order off the other menu and both were available online. What bothered us about this is that we placed this order at around 1:50pm, and brunch ended at 2:00pm. I understand that we are not entitled to things on the lunch menu during brunch-time for items like the tacos, but considering the menu swap was less than 10 minutes away and they were quite literally were "doing fries" at the time, it didn't make much sense to us. The only food that we ended up ordering was the Chicken Caesar Salad. This one dish took a super long time to receive. By the time it was brought out, the three of us nearly finished the Mimosa pitcher. The waitress noticed we had no silverware and said she would go grab us some. Because of how the service had been going thus far, we placed a bet on whether or not the waitress would come back with the silverware. Surprise, surprise. She didn't. We had to go inside later and search for silverware ourselves. We weren't even able to get sharing plates which was upsetting since the waitress asked us if we would be sharing the salad. The salad itself looked delicious, but was bland. The dressing was missing that zing and zest that a Caesar dressing typically has. I do appreciate that is was a chopped salad, had avocado, and seasoned croutons. It is just unfortunate that it was lacking any flavor at all. The food prices are quite affordable for the quantity of food you receive though. This experience was disappointing because I was so optimistic about the place. The menu looked good, it had fun and casual vibes and a cool crowd of people. If Commonwealth worked towards better service practices, it would have been a more positive experience.

It definitely was enhanced by the valley sauce. Valley sauce - had a relish, Dijon taste to it. A bit sweet. But I liked it. The spuds - (side I chose)- 4 potato wedges that were battered. It was good with the valley sauce and filling. The biscuit came with butter. Golden brown and you can tell they made it at the restaurant. Overall, I enjoyed my meal. Customer service was 5 star.
