    Classic Wedge Salad
    Jessica L.

Today I met my friends for our Christmas gift exchange. Our server was okay- kinda not around and seemed frazzled, but it was all good. I don't eat seafood or much meat, so I ordered the classic wedge salad, and it did not disappoint one bit. I very thoroughly enjoyed it. They have a few non-seafood items here, so I am eager to go again.

Nice Sunday afternoon at Surf Rider, Chesapeake Square area. Good looking crowd of people and good she crab soup! Sometimes your server can make all the difference in the world! Cara was amazing and super friendly! You can tell she enjoys her job. Husband had a steak burger with caramelized onions, mushrooms and brown gravy. He said it was delicious!, oh and don't forget the collards! Nice cool sunny Sunday!

My sister wanted to take me out for a seafood dinner for my birthday so I decided on Surf Rider. We both enjoyed the crab dip especially the pita rounds for dipping. I absolutely love their crab cakes and my steak was tasty, too! She enjoyed her seafood combination especially the crab cake! Our waitress was awesome. Made sure we were happy all around from my Sangria to the appetizer to our meals. Definitely recommend! My husband really enjoyed the Shrimp Po' Boy we brought back for him, as well!

Food was great! Alex, our waitress, was top notch! I ordered the she crab soup (so creamy) and seafood surfrider (great portion) Husband got the tuna bites (very juicy and delicate). Will definitely be back for the food. The atmosphere was the only thing that could be improved. Very outdated and felt like a cafeteria feel.

This was my first time visiting. I have dined at other Surf Rider locations, but I totally forgot about this location. My babe and I visited in honor of his grandmother's birthday. We decided to take her here for a seafood meal. The waitress was pleasant and helpful when we had questions concerning the menu. I must say, this location is not shy to fill up your plate! I ordered the broiled platter and it was a lot of food!! Overall it was tasty, not the best I have ever had, but I was pleased. His grandmother's plate was filled as well. She thought it was a lot as well, but she was happy to be able to take some home to have for lunch the next day. The restaurant seems a bit dated inside, I suggest they spruce up the place a bit. But the locals could very well be happy with the atmosphere. It appears to be a hangout spot for the older men... We visited during a week night and a group of older men were present... just chillin and talking. There is plenty of parking... Check it out if you will. Have fun and enjoy life :)

Best seafood restaurant close to my house. Recommend the Broiled Seafood Platter. Good food, quality, quantity and price.

Seek and ye shall find…read more So I learned something new. Many Waffle Houses in the area are to-go only after 10/11 pm to about 6 am, with the exception of this one ... for now. It's annoying that some folks cannot go to places without causing issues. As a result, many of these places have made rules that also punish folks who know how to properly conduct themselves while out in public. Ok, I'll get off of my soapbox. The staff at this location was super friendly, and the location was really clean. I went off script and ordered something besides the All Stars combo meal for the 1st time in about 20 years. During my visit, I went with the cheesesteak bowl. I thought the bowl was well made, I just wish there was little more meat in the bowl. But, I just think I was really hungry and greedy for more meat. Meat aside, the bowl came with a HUGE helping of hashbrowns and any other fixings that you might add to the bowl. Random thought: I wish Waffle House would provide other cheeses besides American cheese, because I think this bowl would have been AMAZING with cheddar or Swiss cheese. Hopefully, this Waffle House will keep it's 24/7 dine-in option, but I have a feeling that this location might switch to only to-go orders from 11pm to 6 am like the other locations in the area.

The seasoned rice is hands down one of my favorites, and the green beans never disappoint either. My husband ordered the country fried sirloin with brown gravy and sautéed onions... and yes, I definitely had to sneak a few bites off his plate. It was well-seasoned maybe a little too seasoned for my personal taste but he loved every bite. His sweet potato was also good as usual. And let's be honest, those rolls and honey butter!!! They deserve their own review. The service was fast and friendly. I've never experienced any issue with the service or the time it takes to receive our meals. Overall, Texas Roadhouse continues to be one of my preferred steakhouses. Great food, consistent quality, and always a satisfying experience!

We came on my birthday and the meal was decent, service was a little off. The server was on her phone at the server station most of the evening and we had to repeatedly ask for her attention. The food was overall good and speed was not bad. We went around the beginning of the year on a Thursday.. the check in process was normal but once we got to the table things didn't go well. We ended up waiting over 35 minutes for bread and over 20 minutes for our server to come back to our table to take our orders. Our drinks were not filled. The bread we received was not fully cooked and complete dough in the middle. It was embarassing but we asked another server for pepper because once the food hit the table the server took another 10 minutes to come back. We had to get up and find a manager because my husband's filet was blue rare and he ordered it medium rare. It was placed under the warmer and brought back well done, no other checks after that. My filet was cooked right but still tough. The meal was over $150 for our table and the manager didn't come back when requested, I am not sure the server notified them so we ended up leaving. I could not find a feedback form on my receipt. This was the first time in probably 20 years I left a 10% tip instead of 30-40%. I don't think we're going to be back to this location for a while.

There was nobody to greet us at the door; nobody to seat us...nobody even dining in the store. The lights were turned down low, as if they were closed to the public, but still open to the cleaning staff. We saw what we thought were a couple of diners sitting at a far table, when one looked over at us, stood up, went into the kitchen (probably to inform a cook on his cellphone, "We have customers, and these look like they're staying"), then greeted us. When he approached us, we found him difficult to hear. He seemed very shy, and I got the strange feeling that we were putting him out, for deciding to dine in that restaurant. He led us to our table. There was nobody else in the entire place. I ordered the salmon (well done), broccoli (cooked well), and mashed potatoes. My order took longer to cook, but i had specific high demands that took longer to cook, so I didn't mind. They brought out my husband's order first, then mine came about 5 minutes later. The broccoli was really good. I think they put it on the grill and cooked it with the salmon. My husband's broccoli was not well cooked, but it was hot. He was fine with his broccoli, but I was very grateful for the way it was cooked. It tasted good and the salmon was delicious, as well. But the pile of salt, flavored with mashed potatoes was not so appealing. All I could taste was salt. They were obviously boxed mashed potatoes. I decided to have one of my husband's French fries, and they were so salty that I had to brush all the grains of salt off of my hands after handling one. Maybe they are happier when customers don't come around? Maybe their salt supply was getting ready to expire, so they took advantage of using it up on the two diners who forgot to check reviews before entering the restaurant. I don't know. I could let the worst case suspicions run through my head, as to why they salt-dumped the potatoes, but there are just as many innocent reasons. I think the cook was just as inexperienced as the waiter. Perhaps the cook WAS the waiter. If ihop is saving money on electricity, maybe they have a one-man restaurant running everything. We went to pay the bill, and of course, nobody was at the register. The waiter took my card in the back, instead of the register, where I expected him to ring it up. The entire meal - salmon with broccoli and potato-flavored salt and beef tips with broccoli and fries cost $44 and some change with an $8 tip. This is a very sad restaurant. They need to try to do better, or pull the plug and let it slip into eternity to serve angels with Howard Johnson's and Chi-Chi's.

It was a stale smell that could easily be remedied by a carpet washing if somebody cared enough to make an effort. It's not like they don't have time to freshen up the place; nobody is eating there. I ordered the Cajun blackened salmon with mashed potatoes and broccoli. I asked for no seasoning. The salmon came out fine. The potatoes were too salty and had too much butter. I did like that they mixed peels with the potato's, but the over seasoning ruined it. The broccoli was horrible. It tasted like it had been in the freezer for a year and recooked. The broccoli was also over buttered, and I have to wonder if they were trying to hide the freezer burn taste. It makes perfect sense that the broccoli would be old. They haven't had customers in a while, so the broccoli spent a lot of time in the freezer. But here's the thing: for what we paid, we deserved a fresh bag of broccoli. If I wanted food like this, I could've grabbed food from the back of my freezer and cooked it myself. It bothers me that it would've taken just a few extra steps to make the establishment an enjoyable dining experience. Maybe they foul it up because they don't enjoy serving large crowds. The younger generation has no work ethics. I will not eat at this store again.
