The situation was handled without discretion or empathy and felt inappropriate and excessive. While I understand store policies, involving multiple emergency services in this way was unnecessary and embarrassing to witness. I use to regularly shop at Wawa and support this business, which made this experience even more disappointing. Most staff members at this location have been polite and respectful, but this particular interaction showed a serious lack of basic human empathy and poor judgment. The lack of empathy shown was alarming. Treating a human being as an inconvenience rather than exercising basic decency reflects poorly on the management at this location. They told me no they can't refund my charges. I drove to the far away location because I wasn't going to just pay for and not eat over $100 worth of food. When I arrived they hadn't made my food and I had to sign my purchase receipt so I don't understand how they wouldn't have been able to refund my account! Really unprofessional service.
