Philly Cheesesteak w/ onions n peppers

Enjoyed one of these for a late breakfast. Oh and they do have breakfast subs too. A variety of chicken or beef subs here. They cook it right in front of you. Flavors are juicy, bread has that hardness and crunchy end to it that matches/compliments the inside goodies very well.

[Located inside the food court of Norfolk Premium Outlets, towards the back.] Ehhhh. I don't know why the rating is so low for this location. I've never had any problems and I've gotten the same thing at least 3 times! I can't speak for any of the other food offered here but the $5.29 Chicken Philly sub meal is A-OK! Small chicken philly sub and fries, no drink. Filling enough and very tasty. If you have a huge appetite though, this deal is probably not for you. Service is always great from the cashier to those working the grill. They don't seem annoyed or irritated when I ask for ranch dipping sauce for my fries or need a drink refill. Definitely my favorite of the offerings in the food court. Not too many choices to begin with, so this is the best for me (so far.)

For a food court meal the good was good. The service was quick. There was no line though when I was here. You get to choose the size of the sandwich. I got the regular. It was more than enough to eat with the fries and drink. I am stuffed.

Always rude and on the phone.

We had reservations for 7pm and our table was ready as soon as we arrived. The interior was absolutely beautiful and the dimmed lighting made for the perfect ambiance. Our waiter came over right away to greet us and share the specials for the evening. We started with a dozen Raw Oysters (my fav) along with the Jumbo Lump Crab Cake. The Oysters were very fresh and I literally could've ate a dozen more lol. The Jumbo Lump Crab Cake was practically all crab. It could've used a little more seasoning but it was very delicious. For our entrees, we decided on the Filet Mignon with Oscar sauce as well as the Black Diamond Dry Aged Ribeye with Roasted Bone Marrow and Fried Shrimp. We also ordered Garlic Spinach, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Fried Brussels Sprouts and Roasted Corn & Lobster for our sides. I was in foodie heaven! Everything tasted phenomenal!!!! My Filet Mignon was cooked perfectly and the sides were all very delicious! I just might have to come here every year for my birthday lol! The staff were exceptional and the food was fantastic! Our various food allergies were accommodated for. As by way of we are all still alive today as some of us are allergy to various food items. Thank you! I especially enjoyed learning about how their wines are created in-house, which added something special to the experience. We had been here for lunch a few months earlier, and the service and food were both excellent, but this Thursday evening the restaurant had the appearance of an establishment going out of business. We were given lunch menus and had to ask for the supper supplement, and then found out they were out of potatoes as well as the beef entrée. Service remained slow, and the peach-glazed salmon with couscous and broccoli entrées were served with overcooked. salmon and broccoli. My wife's California chicken bowl contained chicken that was also over cooked. My daughter's room temperature Hipster grilled cheese and fries were served 5 to 10 minutes after the salmon dishes. My daughter tried the brut prosecco, but it was flat, while my son-in-law had the blood orange crush, but it did not seem to have any vodka in it. Our experience was poor in regard to service and food quality. My daughter also noticed that there was no soap in the women's restroom. As we left after this 2-hour meal, we noticed that there were still only a few customers eating this evening. The staff did not seem very busy due to the lack of customers, but they didn't seem attentive to the few customers that they did have.

It has been nearly three weeks; I can stop thinking about No Frill Bar and Grill…read more I'm a military spouse, so I know my time in Hampton Roads is coming to an end soon. I visited a Hampton Roads Restaurant group on FB and asked if someone was visiting from out of town: What is your go-to place to take them? Out of 90+ comments, No Frill Bar and Grill was mentioned the most - six times! So when I finally had a day off and some other business to tend to in Norfolk, it was the perfect excuse to finally try them. No Frill Bar and Grill has been open for nearly 30 years by Jerry Meltsner. Jerry's nephew Jon Kliner helps co-own and manage operations. It originally opened on Tidewater Drive, but the space didn't allow for much growth - 10 years later, he moved to a location off Colley Avenue and Spotswood Avenue. Growth continued, moving from counter service to table service. The second location, at 1620 Laskin Road in Virginia Beach, opened in 2005. The restaurant's longevity stems from quality, consistency, price, service, and staff who genuinely care about the business and serving the community. I asked the server for her opinion on two options - Salmon, Shrimp and grits won. The dish was incredible: lightly blackened salmon, for once blackened food that doesn't just taste like salt. I don't dine with the swine, so I asked for no andouille sausage. The sautéed shrimp, caramelized onions, tomatoes, and spinach simmered in Norfolk Canyon ale sauce over cheesy grits and Boursin lavash cracker. The cheesy grits were smooth, and the Boursin lavash cracker was a nice touch. The Boursin added extra creaminess to the meal. The cracker wasn't really a cracker - more like little toasted bread. After this first meal, I know two things for sure: 1. I definitely understand why it is such a local favorite, and 2. I will be back.

It's an old church built in 1873 as the Second Presbyterian Church, and it's been home to Freemason Abbey since 1989. The inside is really cool and gives the place a lot of character. You'll see some of that in my photos. I started with their she crab soup, which was excellent. It's one of their specialty soups and had that creamy, rich flavor you'd expect from a good she crab soup. For dinner, I was originally going to try the smoked gouda dish, but they had a chicken parm special for $24, so I went with that instead. Chicken breast, marinara, linguini and provolone cheese. Really glad I did. It was hot, flavorful and presented nicely. My only complaint was that it could have used a little more marinara, but I asked and they brought me some without any problem. Service was great from start to finish. I was there around 5:30, before the dinner rush, so it wasn't very busy, but everything came out promptly and there were no issues at all. Overall, definitely a cool place with a unique atmosphere, good food and great service. I'd absolutely go back again. Sometimes the building is half the meal, and this one definitely has a story to tell!

First things first: the entire front-of-house staff was stunning. Everyone looked polished, well put together, and genuinely welcoming. For drinks, I ordered the Berry Bliss Mojito and the Blackberry Mule. The mojito was excellent, refreshing, balanced, and easily my favorite of the two. The Blackberry Mule leaned a little too sweet for my taste. One thing I really appreciated, though, is that they appear to take their cocktail program seriously. Their margarita is made the way I like to see it: tequila, Cointreau, and fresh lime, with any additional flavors complementing the drink instead of masking it with a bunch of cheap mixers. For food, I had the Chef's Bisque and the Oxtail Lasagna. Everything was outstanding. The lasagna isn't what you might expect. It isn't layered in the traditional way. Instead, it's made into pinwheel-style rolls, which was a nice presentation. The sauce absolutely stole the show. It was rich, flavorful, and tasted like someone in the kitchen genuinely cares about what they're serving. Joy was my server, and she truly lived up to her name. She was attentive, friendly, polite, and had a genuine smile the entire time. Empty dishes disappeared quickly without interrupting the meal, and the service felt effortless. A couple of things to know before you go: there's an automatic 20% gratuity added to every check, not just large parties. There's also a dress code, so I'd skip the sweatpants and distressed jeans. Lastly, this is an adults-only establishment, which I thought was a nice touch for anyone looking for a quieter dining experience. Overall, this was a fantastic experience. Between the thoughtful cocktails, excellent food, and warm service, I'd happily return.
