    Bacon Cheddar Burger

I was so glad to see that there was a Fuddruckers in the Norfolk area. I did a takeout order but from the look of things, the restaurant looked clean and the ladies who worked front were nice and easy going. I ordered 1/2 lb bacon cheddar burger with an Oreo milkshake. The burger was real juicy and the shake was rich and thick. Enjoyed my meal and look forward to returning.

    Kobe to go!

First visit to a Fuddruckers in over 30yrs! With fast food burger prices increasing, I said what the heck, let me try Fuddruckers. I've been sick but was craving a phat juicy burger. Arrived at 2:30PM on a Friday. There was no line & it wasn't crowded. A lady at the register was soooo nice and polite. She gave me some recommendations but I wanted to try the Kobe Burger. I was handed a buzzer to wait for my to-go order. As I waited, I noticed the clean & fresh toppings bar that included every topping you can think of, including hot cheese sauce!! Wow!! I forgot that I could add my own toppings. The dining area looked spacious, clean, and inviting. The server I saw had a smile and looked like they took pride working for this establishment. Order was ready in about 5-8mins. When I approached the counter, even the chef/cook male was smiling & happy to hand me my order. Being born and raised in Norfolk, pleasant service is few and far between. Smiles mean a lot these days. Hands down. I did not wait until I got home. No. I demolished my to go meal in a parking lot while waiting for my prescription. It was not how I remembered my Fuddruckers burger from 30+ years ago. Maybe it's because I ordered the Kobe beef, maybe I was just hungry, or sick. Not sure, but this Kobe Beef burger was perfectly seasoned, cooked to perfection, and truly satisfying!!! It was thick, juicy, and had flavor just the way I like it! The sweet potato fries were piping hot, seasoned just right & also delicious!! Although the portion appeared small for $4.99, it was the perfect size for me. I have held out too long on Fuddruckers. Price point is up there, but totally worth it if one is craving a decent burger from a somewhat fast food joint. I'll be sure to look out for coupons because I definitely want to come back & dine in. I enjoyed this burger A LOT more than other burger joints I've tried on Little Creek Rd that's for sure. I'll just keep my fingers crossed and hope it's this consistent on future visits! Go Fuddruckers!

This was my first time trying this burger chain restaurant. You stand in a line to order food and sit down, and then they serve you. They have a bar for lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and pickles. They have self-serve bbq, honey mustard, mayo, and ketchup pumps as well. The patties were decently cooked, and the sweet potato fries were pretty good. The bun wasn't too great. Overall, if I needed a quick burger stop, I would come here and order because they were pretty fast with all the orders.

$1 wing Sunday. Barbecue, sweet chili thai and garlic Parm. All good. Onion rings a little greasy but delicious. Fries are still great. No fixings needed. My choice over McDonald's any day. Watch sports, movies, listen to music... excellent Sunday afternoon.

I remember as a kid, this place was the BOMB. Made me feel so cool going here. Fast forward.... XX years and I brought my kid in since A- she loves a burger B- it was close to Cookie's cakes (DELICIOUS, you also gotta try them). Monday- KID'S EAT FOR 99 cents!! so that was a score. The "bar" is open- you pick your toppings TO INCLUDE nacho cheese, pico (salsa) and other veggies for your burger. Order with cheese and some fancy toppings for a little extra. You decide how big you want that burger to be and how pink you want it. Can I also add the unsung heroes of the meal- the FRIES, thin wedges which goes GREAT with the cheese and the "you go crazy and mix your soda" machine really added to the meal to take it to the next level. They have veggie things, good for large groups, take credit cards. CLEAN. not super loud music and The kids meal came with a cookie so everyone was happy. Gonna go back soon!!

It's been a long time since my last visit to a Fuddruckers but on a recent trip into Norfolk I saw a new (to me) restaurant. I made a mental note to give it a try. I remember when the first Fuddruckers opened on Virginia Beach Bourdain in Virginia Beach. That place was awesome for a burger joint. They practically had a whole produce section available for burger toppings with everything from fresh tomatoes, lettuce, pickles and they even had jalapeños. This place is located near the corner of Tidewater Drive and East Little Creek Road in the heart of Norfolk. The theme is the same but this location has been scaled down substantially. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The ticket time was quite and my burger came out piping hot and perfectly cooked. The fries were crispy and delicious as well. I was wondering how they were going to substitute for the amazing fixing bar that made them famous since we are living in a COVID-19 World but they handled it beautifully with a plate (pictured) full of tomato's, onion, lettuce and pickles. Everything was fresh and delicious. The highlight of the evening was the young man who was the food and condiments runner (and he was literally running.) This young man greeted me right away and assured me that he would take care of my every need and he made good on his promises. There were probably 20 people inside the restaurant and he was able to take care of everyone, in fact, I called his manager to let her know what a terrific employee he was, she thanked me for my comment and assured me that she would pass them along to him and the rest of the staff. I highly recommend this wonderful establishment if you're looking for a great place to enjoy a terrific burger with great customer service!!!

My favorite way to eat Fuddruckers burgers and wedge fries. No such thing as too much nacho cheese.

If you're looking for American / fast food vibes, this place checks that box. We got burgers and split the chicken tenders. The chicken tenders you know were real chicken very thick and juicy / fresh. Burgers made to order and got our temperatures well (medium and MR). We got the Tex mex burger w jalapeños and the bbq bacon blue one. Also they have all the sauce out there for you to get on your own like honey mustard cheese sauce bbq... you name it!

    Chicken Salad

I remember in the past going to this restaurant after church or swimming at a pool. I honestly used to be a pretty picky eater and barely ate the food except for sugar cookies and chicken tenders. For a while, it has been closed but has now returned in more locations. The location in Norfolk is a pretty impressive place. The decor and the dining room setting seemed like a really relaxing place to be when you wait on your food. It has TV, cool posters to look at, and the staff is really nice here. For the food I got, I got the chicken salad. It was both very filling and very tasteful. It came with bacon, croutons, fried chicken, tomatoes, Jack cheese, and lettuce. I find it to be both a healthy and very filling meal to have. Especially if you're on a diet or trying to eat more healthy. I hope Fuddruckers is here to stay much longer in the future. I also find the concept of burgers being made with other types of meat to be interesting and worth a try in the future.

This is the entrance to Fuddruckers. Photo taken March 16, 2019.

From the moment we walked into Oceanview Diner, we felt at home. There was an immediate warmth--like stepping into what America is supposed to feel like--people talking, laughing, and genuinely connecting over good food. The attention to detail was impossible to miss. Fresh-cut flowers sat on each table, adding a simple but thoughtful touch. Before our meals even arrived, we were served homemade herb focaccia with olive oil--an unexpected and appreciated gesture. And yes, even the water stood out. Being near the ocean, you often get that slightly earthy taste, but this water was clean, crisp, and clearly filtered. Now, the food. I ordered the Parmesan-crusted chicken with roasted potatoes and collard greens. The chicken was juicy (not dry at all) and cooked perfectly--something that sounds simple but is rarely executed this well. The collards were good, though I personally would've liked just a touch more salt and a splash of vinegar to bring them fully to life. My partner ordered the fried flounder with asparagus and mashed potatoes and had nothing but praise. Not a single morsel was left on the plate, which tells you everything you need to know. Oceanview Diner delivered not just a meal, but an experience rooted in care, pride, and hospitality. Thank you for an amazing visit--continued success to you, and a huge job well done to the kitchen staff.

I enjoyed the Fried Chicken sandwich which also comes with boardwalk fries which are sinfully good. The chicken sandwich is a favorite with just the right amount of pickles, Surry ham, and arugula. The aioli is a nice and tasty addition to the sandwich. The Lobster Roll was also ordered at our table. It was enjoyed by the guest although it seemed like quite a small meal presentation especially for the price of $28.50. It was served on a small plate and just didn't look like a $30 dinner. We also ordered the Halloumi Fries which were underwhelming in size and taste. We love Halloumi so this was a bit of a disappointment. Our server was fantastic. Two persons only seemed understaffed for near full menu service and bar. No bus person, kitchen help, runner, or dish washer seen. Menu Asian fusion for lack of better term. Ordered scallion pancakes and spicy spring rolls. Service slow.... After ordering. Pancakes are one of my favorite snacks. Order portion size was large for appetizer. Scallion pancakes should be chewy with a flakey crust, savory with an onion punch from the scallions. These were chewy with no flakiness at all. Sort of like a flour tortilla with onion in the mix. The dip was like extra salty soy sauce spiked with raw ginger, strong and almost inedible. Then about five minutes later spring rolls arrived. Piping hot then down hill. First impression,, over cooked and greasy. Did not appear to have been drained. two small puddles of oil in dish below rolls. Sort of cross between lumpia and cha gio with appeal of neither. Noodles and meat wrapped together and fried. Favors muddled and greasy. Dipping sauce not much either. As a person who has sat through many food handlers permit classes. I witnessed a no-no with the waitress. Concerning.... It appears that disjointed service front to back needs improvement. Like location and ideas but without consistent execution it will likely fail in long run. Will be back?? Not likely Never say never. If still open this time next year?? To eat, we started with the Pork Rinds appetizer (10/10) they were definitely fresh and flavorful; I loved the sauce that came with them. I also ordered the Catfish basket (5/10) I was excited when this came to the table because it looked as though it would taste good and was a great portion size; however, it didn't meet my expectations at all. There was no flavor to the fish or batter and the Mac and cheese was very much the same way, bland. Though I am giving a lower rating, I would come back for drinks and to possibly try a different food. Feel like I must've ordered the wrong thing or the cook was having a bad night? The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Our waitress Laura was our favorite! She gave great recommendations and brought so much joy to our day. We had a chance to meet Karla herself and she was such a delight! She truly sets the tone for this wonderful establishment. We also were sat by this wonderful older gentleman who was such a light a to talk to. When we were getting ready to leave, the waitress that wasn't even waiting on us was so kind and wished us a great rest of the day. If you need a boost to start your day with some GREAT food and good vibes, definitely stop by Karla's beach house. You will not regret it. We will definitely be back! PS: Get the pancakes they are AMAZING!

It's high-end, which I barely touch due to pricing, but it does not hurt to try something new. Let's see how the evening went. After our entire party arrived, we were all promptly seated. Inside, the decor is perfect. From the bar to the dining area, everything was spotless. You can tell the staff really cares about keeping the place tidy. And they had New Orleans-style music playing through the sound system. Very relaxing. After looking through the menu, I was ready to place my order. I chose their fish special, which was salmon with veggies and a sauce (forgot the name). This dish was very good. It was probably the best cooked salmon I've ever had. When you see seafood with the perfect crust and a lot of flavor, you're in heaven. It did have a small bone and I felt it lacked the amount of squash and zucchini, but again, a wonderful meal. There was one situation which resulted in only a 4-star review. Out of curiousity, I saw on Facebook that they offered $5 discounts. I did let my party know and we were all ready to use them when the bill was ready. But the staff told us the discount was to be used on a table rather than an individual ticket. When we looked both on Facebook and our personal emails, none of that verbage was mentioned. Not trying to sound harsh, but please be sure to state every detail foe customers. We do want to find ways to save some cash out of our wallets. Except for the discount mishap, the visit turned out well. I can say I'll be back to give them anothee go-around. Till next time :)
