Being from Wisconsin, my local Fuddrucker's abruptly closed about six years ago, leaving me holding the bag with two gift cards totaling more than $100. I was thrilled to discover a Fuddrucker's in the area during my visit to Norfolk. My party of three visited the Norfolk location on Sunday evening, April 26, 2026, and we were extremely pleased with both the food and the service. The associate taking our order was unable to get my ancient gift cards to work, but the manager/supervisor, June, cheerfully stepped in and made everything right. She was friendly, accommodating, and truly outstanding. After calling to confirm the remaining balance, she explained that the cards would not process in their system and generously gave me the balance in cash instead. June also went above and beyond in other ways. My sister either intended to order cheese on her burger or thought she already had, and June promptly added it with no hesitation. Later, while I was at the toppings station soaking up some sauce from my crispy chicken sandwich with paper towels--worried it might be too spicy for my sensitive taste buds--June noticed immediately and kindly offered to remake my sandwich. I declined because, after the extra sauce was removed, it was actually perfect for me. The crispy chicken sandwich itself was excellent: a very large portion of chicken, perfectly cooked, crispy, and delicious. The other two members of my party thoroughly enjoyed their burgers and especially liked customizing them at the toppings bar. I was so glad to see that there was a Fuddruckers in the Norfolk area. I did a takeout order but from the look of things, the restaurant looked clean and the ladies who worked front were nice and easy going. I ordered 1/2 lb bacon cheddar burger with an Oreo milkshake. I stopped by and got the 1/3 lb Bourbon Burger combo. The burger itself was actually pretty solid--juicy, good flavor--but they really dropped the ball on the onions. Supposed to be caramelized, but they were just soggy, bitter, and honestly kind of gross. Whoever's on onion duty needs a refresher. The staff was friendly and the service was quick, which I appreciated. No complaints there. But for $20, the overall value just isn't there. I've been to other Fuddruckers that were bigger, had more options, and honestly delivered a better experience. This location felt cramped, and they didn't even have the sauce bar I was looking forward to. That's one of the fun parts of coming to Fuddruckers and without it, the whole visit felt kind of incomplete. First visit to a Fuddruckers in over 30yrs! With fast food burger prices increasing, I said what the heck, let me try Fuddruckers. I've been sick but was craving a phat juicy burger. Arrived at 2:30PM on a Friday. There was no line & it wasn't crowded. A lady at the register was soooo nice and polite. She gave me some recommendations but I wanted to try the Kobe Burger. I was handed a buzzer to wait for my to-go order. As I waited, I noticed the clean & fresh toppings bar that included every topping you can think of, including hot cheese sauce!! Wow!! I forgot that I could add my own toppings. The dining area looked spacious, clean, and inviting. The server I saw had a smile and looked like they took pride working for this establishment. Order was ready in about 5-8mins. When I approached the counter, even the chef/cook male was smiling & happy to hand me my order. Being born and raised in Norfolk, pleasant service is few and far between. Smiles mean a lot these days. Hands down. I did not wait until I got home. No. I demolished my to go meal in a parking lot while waiting for my prescription. It was not how I remembered my Fuddruckers burger from 30+ years ago. Maybe it's because I ordered the Kobe beef, maybe I was just hungry, or sick. Not sure, but this Kobe Beef burger was perfectly seasoned, cooked to perfection, and truly satisfying!!! It was thick, juicy, and had flavor just the way I like it! The sweet potato fries were piping hot, seasoned just right & also delicious!! Although the portion appeared small for $4.99, it was the perfect size for me. I have held out too long on Fuddruckers. Price point is up there, but totally worth it if one is craving a decent burger from a somewhat fast food joint. I'll be sure to look out for coupons because I definitely want to come back & dine in. This was my first time trying this burger chain restaurant. You stand in a line to order food and sit down, and then they serve you. They have a bar for lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and pickles. They have self-serve bbq, honey mustard, mayo, and ketchup pumps as well. The patties were decently cooked, and the sweet potato fries were pretty good. The bun wasn't too great. Overall, if I needed a quick burger stop, I would come here and order because they were pretty fast with all the orders. read more

I remember as a kid, this place was the BOMB. Made me feel so cool going here. Fast forward.... XX years and I brought my kid in since A- she loves a burger B- it was close to Cookie's cakes (DELICIOUS, you also gotta try them). Monday- KID'S EAT FOR 99 cents!! so that was a score. The "bar" is open- you pick your toppings TO INCLUDE nacho cheese, pico (salsa) and other veggies for your burger. Order with cheese and some fancy toppings for a little extra. You decide how big you want that burger to be and how pink you want it. Can I also add the unsung heroes of the meal- the FRIES, thin wedges which goes GREAT with the cheese and the "you go crazy and mix your soda" machine really added to the meal to take it to the next level. One of my favorite burger places. You choose your size burgers--1/3, 1/2, 2/3, 1 lb burger. You choose your style--the works (mushrooms, cheese, bacon), Swiss melt (grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, Swiss) or any of the others. You choose your bun--wheat or white. You choose your cheese--American, Swiss, cheddar, provolone, pepper jack, blue cheese--and your premium toppings: fried egg, fried onion ring, advocado, chili, bacon, etc. Make it a combo and add a drink/milkshake and seasoned wedge potatoes. Everything is cooked fresh to order. Then you can customize your burger at their toppings bar. Lettuce, onions, tomatoes, pickles, and more. Grab a table and enjoy. The service is really good too. It's been a long time since my last visit to a Fuddruckers but on a recent trip into Norfolk I saw a new (to me) restaurant. I made a mental note to give it a try. I remember when the first Fuddruckers opened on Virginia Beach Bourdain in Virginia Beach. That place was awesome for a burger joint. They practically had a whole produce section available for burger toppings with everything from fresh tomatoes, lettuce, pickles and they even had jalapeños. This place is located near the corner of Tidewater Drive and East Little Creek Road in the heart of Norfolk. The theme is the same but this location has been scaled down substantially. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The ticket time was quite and my burger came out piping hot and perfectly cooked. The fries were crispy and delicious as well. I was wondering how they were going to substitute for the amazing fixing bar that made them famous since we are living in a COVID-19 World but they handled it beautifully with a plate (pictured) full of tomato's, onion, lettuce and pickles. Everything was fresh and delicious. The highlight of the evening was the young man who was the food and condiments runner (and he was literally running.) This young man greeted me right away and assured me that he would take care of my every need and he made good on his promises. There were probably 20 people inside the restaurant and he was able to take care of everyone, in fact, I called his manager to let her know what a terrific employee he was, she thanked me for my comment and assured me that she would pass them along to him and the rest of the staff. I remember in the past going to this restaurant after church or swimming at a pool. I honestly used to be a pretty picky eater and barely ate the food except for sugar cookies and chicken tenders. For a while, it has been closed but has now returned in more locations. The location in Norfolk is a pretty impressive place. The decor and the dining room setting seemed like a really relaxing place to be when you wait on your food. It has TV, cool posters to look at, and the staff is really nice here. For the food I got, I got the chicken salad. It was both very filling and very tasteful. It came with bacon, croutons, fried chicken, tomatoes, Jack cheese, and lettuce. I find it to be both a healthy and very filling meal to have. Especially if you're on a diet or trying to eat more healthy. I hope Fuddruckers is here to stay much longer in the future. This Fuddruckers is located along Tidewater Drive near E. Little Creek Road. It is in a larger shopping center area that is there as well. The place is fairly visible from the road, depending on the direction of travel. Coming from Interstate 64, we go into the shopping center before reaching Fuddruckers to get there. My most recent visit here was on March 16, 2019. The place was fairly easy to find and was pretty busy when we came in. I think we got in at the end of their lunch rush. My niece was also with us here as we were headed to Busch Gardens after this. We waited quite a while to get up to order. The one in front ended up doing multiple orders and had only one person at the registers. They really needed a second person up there as well taking orders. Once we were able to order, the ordering process was actually fairly quick as we knew what we were getting. There are so many combinations you can make out of their menu too. Since I had a coupon, I went with the Chicken Sandwich combo, but also ordered to add bacon and pepper jack cheese. After about 8-10 minutes, the order was ready and went to pick it up. I went over to the cold bar to add condiments to the chicken sandwich and then went to the table to eat. The chicken sandwich came out very hot and was fresh tasting as well. After I had eaten a bit of it, I realized they never gave me the bacon or cheese on it that I had ordered (it was confirmed ordered on the receipt as well). At that point I went up to the counter to let them know what happened. A manager came up to the counter and told him what happened and showed him the receipt. They refunded the cheese and bacon for me, so all was square at that point. These are just some observations from my latest visit. Even though it was busy at that time, many of the open tables still had not been cleaned off, so it was hard to find a clean table at first. One of the girls was going around cleaning and clearing tables and she took care of one for us so we could eat somewhere. At the counter, they were just slow in general taking orders, which is probably why the line was going long. Overall, the experience here was fine. Given the overall experience, it definitely fits for three stars, but not any higher for me. As I get coupons, I will come back to try things out again though. If you are wanting to go to a Fuddruckers, this place still isn't bad. read more

It's fine, the food is fine. Everything is fine, I guess. I remember Fuddruckers growing up - the closest one to my parents' house was at the intersection of Virginia Beach Blvd and Independence. That place was awesome, but obviously over the years it fell off and eventually closed permanently. I originally found it awesome that Fuddruckers has experienced a rebirth of sorts - they opened this location off of Tidewater Dr. I remember one opening a couple of years back in Hampton or Newport News, but that one has since closed. This Norfolk Fuddruckers is fine - I haven't had any problems there. I think the biggest issue I've had is they don't cook their burgers to temp. correctly. I normally go for medium when the person at the counter asks for my preferred temp., but it always comes out mid-well or even well done. Then the portion size for their fries (and I find their fries to be delicious) is small. Since Fuddruckers serves potato wedges, the portion is small enough to where I can count the number of fries I've gotten. That can be problematic, especially since they charge a bit more than a typical fast food spot. Service is good, at least it's been good for me. I like the servers who walk the floor and ask if everything is okay and volunteer to refill your drinks. I feel bad because I don't know if I'm supposed to tip since it isn't a typical restaurant scenario. Ultimately, pretty much everything at the Norfolk Fuddruckers is fine. I think their service is fine (although I've heard otherwise) and their food is still pretty good, albeit overpriced, considering the portion size. I'm not sure what it is, but there's something lacking that keeps me from dining there more often. But it's still a good spot to eat, it's just not a must-see kind of place. JV read more

If your looking for a basic burger where you can add your own add-ons this is a good place to go. The food is reasonable and the fries are decent. The chicken sandwiches are also decent, recommend both the fried and grilled (depending on your mood for the day) both are good. Kids meals have the option of getting fries or apples and a choice of their fuddruckers cookies. My kids were so excited that they have their condiment and topping table of assorted lettuces, tomatoes, onions, jalapeños etc. You can fully load your burger and make your own kind of sauces. The one amazing goodness is the their hot, melted cheese to top your burgers. The unlimited toppings and your diy bar of of toppings make it a crowd pleaser for my family and my selective children. You can choose to go plain and simple or you can load your burgers with unlimited veggies and condiments. The service here as far as dining in is concerned is phenomenal. You order your food at the service station and sit down for them to serve you. Our waitress was extra attentive and made it every way possible to continually check on our table. The people who took our order at the counter could use a little work and enthusiasm. I tried to ask them some questions about their menu and they had to ask their manager. Fuddruckers, oh Fuddruckers how you please me so! The staff are always hospitable and the restaurant is always clean. There are many televisions hanging high on the wall on different sports channels and one or two for news. I've never eaten inside, I always get my food to go. Nothing against the restaurant in doing that. Fuddruckers' burgers are delicious, their burger bar has a large assortment of toppings. The fries come out crispy and seasoned well. I mainly come on Thursdays when they have a $0.75 wings special. If you know me, I go in and ask them to be fried extra long so they'll be crispy and delicious! Who wants soggy wings?? They made the burger so much better than it already was. The buns were buttery and soft, and the burger was soooo juicy. I was surprised that I didn't end up with a whole mess on my shirt, the burger was made pretty clean. Then the crispy wedges on the side completed the meal for me (I'm a huge fan of potatoes.) Just because I don't eat beef, doesn't mean that I can't enjoy a burger. In fact, this place is my favorite when I want a juicy, yummy, black bean burger (lol). I really like the vegetarian options here. The burger patty tastes a lot better than the Morning Star options served at other establishments. I always get the mushroom-swiss burger (vegetarian, of course) from Fuddruckers. It's always a warm, savory, and satisfying meal - and if you need a meat-free burger fix, believe me you'll enjoy it. This place is spacious and has a lot of options for your food and drinks (soft drinks). I usually get the potato wedges to go with my meal, but you can also get sweet potato fries or onion rings. I'd be remiss to not mention that the buns are always soft and fluffy, it's like your burger gets a nice, puffy cloud to float into your belly on! Stopped here for dinner after picking up dessert from nearby Cookie's Cakes (go there!) and holy moly! It was even better than I remember it from ages ago in Greenbrier (long gone). The bourbon bacon burger was so tasty I exclaimed it several times aloud to my husband who also agreed. The burger was juicy, toppings were perfectly done and that bun! It has a bit of sweetness but it goes so well with grilled onions and other savory bits. The seasoned fries were also perfectly cooked and yummy especially with some of their jalapeño cheese sauce. One other thing that really struck me here was how good the service was - both at the front counter ordering and especially while seated. A guy with blond dreads (I'm sorry I didn't get his name) was SO incredibly friendly and helpful not just to us but everyone out there dining. He wasn't a server (obviously) but we made sure to tip him. I really appreciate people like that and I really appreciated this dinner tonight. I haven't had Fuddruckers in years. It will probably be another few years until I try it again. Instead of going with a basic burger I tried the Kobe Burger with bacon and cheddar cheese, and a side of fries. I ordered all of this for pick up to go. I initially peeked into my box just to make sure the correct things were in there, however they gave me a whole burger and no bun. Also after looking at it while at home I noticed how bad the lettuce was, because of how brown and slimy it was coming off the burger. Part of the issue was me not giving a full check of my food, but at the same time how can you forget the bun for a burger meal, especially since I didn't add any special instructions. The best part of the meal were the fries to be honest. Maybe you'll be lucky enough to get a bun with your burger if you visit haha! read more

Should've listened.... So I got a burger, like "beef", burger. I typically do the turkey burger, but once in a while I get a taste for beef. Food came out quick and piping hot fresh, for my family of 5. Love the fixin's station with all the condiments, but wish their condiment cups were bigger, thicker, and placed on each end of the counter. They have the paper cups, that will certainly not hold up against their 350 degree cheese sauce they serve. Which I don't understand why it's so hot. My finger mistakenly touched the spout, and that was the only signal I needed that it was enough cheese. Burgers were fresh and juicy! My family didn't particularly care for the peppery seasoned fries, or onion rings. It just seemed to be a little too much salt and other mystery seasonings. I liked the fact that even though this isn't a restaurant with waitresses/waiters, we were still checked on. The lady who came to the table had good attention to detail. She even knew when it was time to bring the FREE cookie to the kids. It was all in all a good experience IN the restaurant. Now for the not so good news... let just say I'll stick to the turkey from now on. The burgers my son and I had, didn't sit so well.
