The first red flag was an empty lot during peak dining hours. As we entered the building, I couldn't help but notice an odor like a dog owner's dank carpeted basement. It was a stale smell that could easily be remedied by a carpet washing if somebody cared enough to make an effort. It's not like they don't have time to freshen up the place; nobody is eating there. I ordered the Cajun blackened salmon with mashed potatoes and broccoli. I asked for no seasoning. The salmon came out fine. The potatoes were too salty and had too much butter. I did like that they mixed peels with the potato's, but the over seasoning ruined it. The broccoli was horrible. It tasted like it had been in the freezer for a year and recooked. The broccoli was also over buttered, and I have to wonder if they were trying to hide the freezer burn taste. It makes perfect sense that the broccoli would be old. They haven't had customers in a while, so the broccoli spent a lot of time in the freezer. But here's the thing: for what we paid, we deserved a fresh bag of broccoli. If I wanted food like this, I could've grabbed food from the back of my freezer and cooked it myself. It bothers me that it would've taken just a few extra steps to make the establishment an enjoyable dining experience. Maybe they foul it up because they don't enjoy serving large crowds. First impression, shady place. Why, employees see me come in and do not say anything. The kitchen staff is sitting in the booth playing on computers, other kitchen staff talking with waitress. Staff like to talk to each other like street talk across room even when customers are in the room. If you are paying staff, they should be working not sitting in booth playing computer and talking to each other at $15 plus and hour. Likely a worker pink backpack on table and no one seems to care that a customer might want to sit there. I think only reason people come here is it is close to base and name, likely do not come back often unless they are use to poor service. read more

Came in on a Sunday night around 7:30-8ish. The hostess stand was empty upon entering so we stood around for maybe 5 minutes before being acknowledged by someone. There was still a good amount of people there but not packed at all. Our server was Berto. He was friendly and helpful all throughout our time there. He didn't hover and was always responsive and quick when we needed something refilled or wanted to order more drinks. The food is typical chain fare. Nothing amazing but it wasn't bad. It came out quick, hot, and tasted as good as Applebee's can offer. They no longer offer late night specials for drinks but 1/2 apps starting at 9PM is still in effect. One complaint is that getting a hard cider really does add up. For two of them you can easily buy a six pack at the store but I guess that's what you pay for when you want to drink out! Lol. Lettuce in salad was brown with slime (rotten), riblets aren't even real meat, hamburger assembled with brown lettuce and tomato on the bottom and bun too soggy to pick up, fries were the best on this order but sucked! $40 wasted. Called to talk to the manager and told he was too busy to talk to me - call back in 30-45. This is the 3rd fail so not ever going back. No wonder Applebee's is going down the drain. My husband and I came into this location today for Valentine's Day lunch. The food was great and the service was pretty decent. We ended up getting the same thing as one another to eat. The turkey, bacon, and ranch sandwich. The sandwich was good minus the tomatoes and bbq sauce. The second side we got was the Mac and cheese topped with honey chipotle chicken and bacon. This particular dish was good just not cheesy enough and the sweetness overpowered the noodles. We would definitely get the sandwich again just not the Mac and cheese.! This location was a hit today. So, yea - much like other folks, I don't really see the appeal. I'm not a big fan of chain restaurants anyway, so there's that. But I was surprised as just how bad the service is. Came in for a Paint Nite event that was in the afternoon. Literally only about 10 of us in the party, basically no one in the restaurant. I walked up to get a drink at the bar. There were two bartenders working and at least four servers standing around. I stood there for almost 10 minutes without being acknowledged because they were busy chatting with each other. People have poor reviews of the food because it's expired, old, moldy and disgusting. The servers here refuse to eat their free meals because of how awful the food is prepped. Please take the time to read through their past health inspections... mold on the food on almost every single visit. They scrape the mold off the top of items, close it back up, rip the 'toss out' stickers off and replace them with new dates so that they don't have to remake the food. One thing I would definitely stay away from is the beer cheese. It is made in a container that is never cleaned- more cheese dip is just made on top of the old.. and by old I mean they haven't actually cleaned the container in months. That is the case with 95% of the items on the menu. The best thing you can possibly order here is the mashed potatoes. It is the only sanitary thing that is made daily that you can eat without getting sick. This place honestly surprised me. For your typical chain restaurant, it felt like they have made some strides in trying to improve their persona. I can say that the food I've had here has all been rather delicious. The only downside to that is the food has always taken quite a bit of time to arrive. However, as long as the food quality stays up, I'm down to wait. Hopefully, they keep up with this quality since this place is now an option for us whenever we think of places to eat. The one thing that bothers me a lot is the bar area and walk to the bathroom. The floor is notoriously slippery. It makes the place feel unclean and cheap. Overall, I'm somewhat skeptical, but overall optimistic. Decided to give this place a try today since I work across the street from it. I ordered the New Neighborhood Double Burger online to-go. I walked across the street, picked up the order, then walked back to my desk to eat it. We went there at 4:45 pm on a Friday evening. When we entered we seated ourselves in the bar area. An employee was sweeping the floor and there was liquid all over the floor. After he finished sweeping, he then came to us and asked us what did we want to drink so we order drinks. Then the bartender/waiter came and took our order after we had been sitting there waiting for 30 minutes. We both had Caesar salads that would have been better if they had trimmed the romaine lettuce. We prefer our romaine to be green not white. Salads did taste ok. I am speechless. I walked in the door and stood by the hosted stand for way too long. The host would go to the stand, ignore me, grab menus, and seat other people who were already on the list. He would not add new people to the list, or at least he wasn't going to do it anytime soon. This repeated over and over. Ignored me like I wasn't even there. I looked around and something just did not feel right about this place. So we left. I am sorry, but if you want ME to spend money in YOUR restaurant, you are going to have to treat me with some hospitality when I come in the door. These people must have forgotten that it is the customers that pay the bills and ultimately their checks. What a disgrace for the Applebee's chain. Me and a friend of mine got there during the night shift and it was loud karaoke going on, a bunch of young workers playing around not serving people and a long wait on the food. Our drinks came out in a decent time but we were done with them before our food came out and not once did anyone come around to ask if we wanted a refill. We waited about 20 minutes for an appetizer just for it to be the best thing we ate that whole night. One of the waiters even took our appetizer in the middle of us eating it and didn't even ask if we were finished. She took our orders around 10:15 and the food didn't even arrive until right past 11. Keep in mind all we ordered was a burger and a steak combo. Our steak looked like a dollar store steak, it was small and hard to cut like a pork chop. My burger was awful and the sauce was expired. As soon as I bit into it I noticed the sour taste and spit it into a napkin. It smelt awful almost like expired milk. I also ordered their pretzels and beer cheese to go and the cheese was extremely old. It was clumped up and stunk badly. The waiters were pretty nice just lazy and didn't care about proper service because it was closing shift. Once the designated time came, I sent the text message and clicked the link. Nothing happened. An employee walked out and went to their car. Within 10 mins another employee randomly runs out of the door and never comes back (?) Periodically I can see other employees go back and forth so there is some action going on back there. Then, a young man walks in the door. 10 mins later he walks out with a drink and a bag. This is confusing. This was not the detailed description I was provided to get my food that I paid for. 35 mins later. A young lady comes out and asks my name. She seems flabbergasted and confused. She goes to one of the other 2 cars sitting . I don't argue with people fixing my food. I decide to let her straighten things out. Another 7 mins later she finally "finds" my order. It is 849. This was ordered at 800. The food was lukewarm. It was as if I came in and sat down. You can tell it was just sitting somewhere. Either train your staff properly or take the service away. I called the restaurant just to speak with someone and the phone rang. Not even a generic Applebees message. In this case Management is lacking. Bummer! This was our first and last time at this Applebee's location. The location is beautiful! The restaurant decor was nice. The hostess was pleasant. Our waitress was upset that she was at work. No smiles, few refills and overall a damper on our visit. Our tables orders were not correct he first time they came out and even though two of our orders were exactly the same, they can to the table with different embellishments, portion size and presentation. For this visit I ordered "curbside to go". It's convenient and I work right down the road.....sooooo, why not. I ordered the Jalapeno Lime Shrimp. I love that dish - it's yummy. It's not quite Bone Fish Grill statys - but it's tasty yet typical for Applebees My problem with this visit was that the server that took my order on the phone failed to let the "runner" (the person designated to run the orders out to the cars) know that she had an order. So, I pull up - the runner immediately comes out. It happens to be the bartender - who is really cool by the way. She hands me the bag and rambles off something like "Here are is your taco trio" Say what? I looked in the bag and it wasn't my Jalapeno Lime Shrimp. I sat there for a sec and tried to rationalize that "Jalapeno Lime Shrimp" could easily sound like "Taco trio". I was unsuccessful. Anyway, I spoke up and she happily went and got my correct order. I was disappointed because curbside to go is supposed to be fast. Unfortunately, I had to wait a bit longer because of the mix up. A few issues this evening with this Applebee's. I arrived with my three boys ages 5 through 11 and we were seated right away as there were many tables available. We were seated between two large groups of adults. After a few I realized that the two groups we're together, yet myself and my kids were seated between the two groups. The two groups were cursing every other word and were loudly doing this back and forth between the two tables. I must have heard the word "motherfu*ker" more times in three minutes than I had in the past few years. I mentioned to a waitress that it was a poor decision to seat my children and I between these groups and she even pointed out that she knew the two groups were together. She stated she would let her manager know. When we got our orders 3 of the four orders all had something wrong with them. We were either missing something we ordered, got the wrong side, or it was made incorrectly all together. We never saw the manager, were never moved to another table and never received an apology or anything concerning the cursing or where we were seated or for the orders being wrong. Received the complete bill which I paid and left a very small tip as I didn't even think a tip was warranted. read more

The relaxing atmosphere is so inviting and the perfect volume level for me to work on my book in, and the $1.99 unlimited games option is a hit with both my kids. But, let's talk food and service; Usually, I dine in but today my trip was cut short so I had to get it to go. Mom life and school pickups happen at the blink of an eye. Nikki, a waitress that I look forward to seeing each time I come in, told me it was no problem to set my food to go and just really made me feel important and not a problem (like other places I've been). Usually "to go" food is iffy if not eaten right away. I've never had that problem with this Applebee's. They've always taken great care when boxing my food. Today was no exception.
