I came into Surah with my family and we all thoroughly enjoyed it! The food was authentic and met my grandmother's standards/expectations (lol). I didn't get any pictures but we ordered the kimchi pancake (김치전) as an appetizer and it was crispy, spicy, and hot. My brother and I shared the army stew (부대찌게) and it was great! They refused to give refills on banchan/ sides (not even one full refill) for a party of 2, and said it would be $1.5 per each dish to refill. What a fantastic, high quality Korean feast at Surah Korean restaurant! We came here for our last meal in Orlando and what a great choice it was. My wife said she came here in 2019 when it was a different Korean restaurant called Beewon but has since been upgraded and undergone new ownership and new management and has since upgraded its food selection and ambiance of the restaurant as well. We ordered the beef steamed dumplings, L.A. Galbi dosirak, Pork bulgogi dosirak, Galbi tang (stew) and enjoyed the entrees very much and were not disappointed in the quality one bit. The side dishes that came out before the meal were excellent as well and we enjoyed each and every side dish and were kindly given refills. Although we enjoyed all the side dishes we found the roasted seasoned peanuts were absolutely fabulous. Customer service wise Chloe was super kind and helpful and really made the whole experience bright and even better than the delicious and filling healthy Korean meal. Parking is in a shared parking lot but there were a few parking spaces reserved for Beewon which are good for Surah customers. Overall I give Surah 5 glowing stars and two enthusiastic thumbs up. As a Korean born and raised in Korea, now living in Southern California, I hope this gives some credibility to what I'm about to say. I recently visited Surah after a long day of traveling. My wife and I were craving Korean food, and this place caught our attention. To be honest, I was hesitant--there were a lot of different types of dishes on the menu. In my experience, when a restaurant tries to do too much, it often doesn't do anything particularly well. That had me cautious. I ordered kimchi jjigae, my usual go-to when trying a Korean restaurant for the first time. It's something every Korean makes at home, so it's a good way to gauge the authenticity and care of a kitchen. My wife ordered dolsot bibimbap, another reliable classic. The banchan (side dishes) were solid. A few different types of kimchi and other banchan--not outstanding, but fresh and respectable. But when the main dishes came out, I was genuinely surprised. The interior felt very modern and upscale, so I expected the food might be style over substance--but I was wrong. The kimchi jjigae had depth. The flavor wasn't overly sweet (which I personally dislike), but instead leaned pleasantly sour--exactly how I like it. You could tell the kimchi used in the stew was aged just right. It was comforting, bold, and full of flavor. I ate every last bite. My wife's bibimbap was also good, though we did have to ask for gochujang separately--it didn't come with the dish. What they initially brought out was a more sour and spicy version, but we requested the classic, slightly sweeter gochujang, and that worked much better for us. I'm not usually the type to write long Yelp reviews, but what really stood out to me--beyond the food--was the genuine attitude of the staff and especially the 사장님 (owner). You could see that the owner took the role seriously and was deeply committed to serving quality food and offering warm service. There was a sincerity in how the owner treated every customer that you don't always see. Surah surprised me in the best way. I walked in skeptical and left full and impressed. So to the 사장님, if you ever come across this review, I just want to say: I dont know when i will visit your restaurant again, but I truly hope my review helps more people discover your restaurant and becomes a small part of its continued success. Oh. And Why 4 stars? Because everything always has room for improvement--even when it's already great. read more

I was hoping for bone-in chicken, but they only offer boneless. bummer! the flavor was great, and they provided a generous portion of chicken.
