Landed in Orlando, and I was hungry. I found this BBQ joint tucked into a strip mall off the road, surrounded by a used car dealer and a handful of auto shops. Parking was a bit dicey, folks were definitely taking liberties with the lines. I walked in during the lunch rush but had no trouble placing my order. The server and staff had a natural energy that kept the place buzzing and genuinely friendly. I went with the lunch combo, featuring spare ribs with a good smoky flavor and fork‑tender texture. For sides, I chose the seasoned shoestring fries and the green beans, also seasoned, which more places should do. Vegetables deserve flavor too. For sauces, I tried the tangy and the mustard. I'm not a fan of sweet sauces, so the mustard was the clear winner for me. The food was good, but the service was great. The server remembered my name and used it throughout my visit, which earned the place an extra bump from a solid four stars to a full five. Orlando is a city dominated by touristy chain restaurants. Uncle Tony's is not that. It's a local spot that makes you feel right at home.

The people are so welcoming! Their service was not too bad we did have a large group. The allowed reservations a week in advance which was awesome! The place is small but they got us all together which was awesome! The food OMG it was so goood!!!!!!!! There was not something I didn't like. The Dino rib only on the weekend was so fall off the bone yummy! The sides were flavorful and good! I would definitely go back and highly recommend!

Where do I start? This place is amazing! Our ribs, pulled pork, pulled chicken all so tasty and tender. The cornbread coleslaw and garlic potato deliciousness! Walk in and greeted immediately. Given the menu to view, ordered at the counter and brought to the table.

Have you ever had a "Hell Yeah" moment at an establishment? Well yesterday's visit was my moment. I couldn't stop saying it after each bite of food...lol! Friends of mine invited me and my son here and I'm thankful for them. It's a bit of a drive for me but it was worth it. The location can cause issue for parking but there is some overflow parking. They are popular so go early if you want a good selection of food. We went later on Saturday and they were out of a few things I wanted to try but I'll be back. This is a family owned business and service was on point! We met one of the owners and she was wonderful! I'm happy to continue supporting them. You can choose to take your order to go or dine in. Tables fill up quickly so it may be better to order to go if you're in a hurry. I ordered a 2 meat combo with spare ribs and chopped brisket. I chose 2 sides, Mac and cheese and collard greens along with garlic bread. I was in love at first bite! No sauce needed but if you choose to sauce you can't go wrong with any of their homemade sauces. My favorite was the extra hot and the vinegar based. The sides were on point in all areas. No complaints. My son got the same meats but got fried okra. It was the best okra I've had in a long time. Seriously you can't go wrong with anything on their menu. Run don't walk!

For morhers day we had 12 people. The service was awesome, great people and meals and drinks came out fast. If I could give them a 100/100 I would. The smoked meat was perfect. My daughter had the beef dino rib which was huge. All the meat and the sides were amazing. I had spare ribs with sliced brisket. I think between all of us we tried all the meat. My grandaughter got the chicken breast and it was so juicy. We also tried all the sauces and they were perfect additions. My favorite were the vinegar with the beef and the mustard with my ribs. We will back!

This is my favorite bbq spot in Orlando. I love the service here they always remember me and treat me so kindly not only me but every guest! They constantly check on each person and make sure they have everything. They have tons of sauces to choose from. Their meat is to die for! If you come you have to get the brisket for sure!!! I love to get their 2 meat combo with two sides. If you're a fry or tator tot lover the seasoning is 10/10. Banana pudding is top tier. This spot gets really busy!

Why 4 stars? Because the people were so nice, it was impossible to not have a good experience. --- --- --- A BBQ place with an amazing rating, only a few minutes from the airport? There was no easier decision in my life on where to eat on my way out of Orlando. Quickly scanning the reviews, I saw multiple people saying that the people here are super friendly, and that is a massive understatement. I cannot remember interacting with a nicer and more genuine group of people at a restaurant. I think at least 5-6 people came over to my table to check on me throughout my lunch, and while that might sound overbearing, they all did it in such an authentic way that made my entire time here so pleasant. As for the food, it's hard to judge BBQ when I come from Texas aka the mecca for all things BBQ. I'll get the negative things out of the way first. The sliced brisket was a rough one. Again, I hate being critical with how awesome these people were, but I think it's important to be honest. The brisket was not close to my favorite places in Texas. 2-stars. The only other miss for me was the vanilla biscoff cake. I like vanilla. I like biscoff. I like cake. But I could have done without this. It seemed to just be a super basic cake with some whip cream and biscoff drizzle on top. Another 2-stars from me. But the good news is that I enjoyed everything else. Spare Ribs: 4-stars. Good flavor and the perfect amount of tender. Mac-n-cheese: 4.5-stars. Just a solid rendition of mac that I'd probably order on every future trip to Tony's if I lived in the area. Cornbread: 4.5-stars. Pretty much everything you want in a good cornbread. Baked Beans: 5-stars. There was a subtle amount of sweetness to these that really hit the spot. And again, the customer service here was an easy 5-stars. I have no idea when I'll be back in Orlando again, but I'll be rooting for these great people from afar!

Arrived in Orlando and was looking for a place to eat lunch, looked at yelp and this place is one of the top lunch places in the area. Walked inside and they were crowded! Staffs are friendly and attentive! Upon entering we went to the line to order, their menu is not that big or overwhelming it was perfect with great selections. We ordered and paid $35 for two meals plus too. The place has a nice friendly ambiance. We sat down immediately to a two seater table. We loved every bite and my favorite was the mac and cheese and the chicken. Hubby's fave was the pulled pork and the baked beans. We also got corn bread for each one of us. It was good but q bit dry. Anyway, we will definitely be back if we visit again!

Restaurant Review: Uncle Tony's Backyard Barbecue Location: Orange Avenue Visit Date: Saturday, June 7th This past Saturday, I was in the mood to switch things up from my usual go-to spots. I hopped on TikTok in search of something new and local and that's when I came across Uncle Tony's Backyard Barbecue, located conveniently off Orange Avenue. It looked promising, so I decided to give it a try. Upon arrival, I snapped a few photos of the outside and the menu (see below). I went with the baby back ribs, which came with potato salad and macaroni and cheese as my sides. Here's how everything stacked up: * Baby Back Ribs: These were the highlight of the meal flavorful, tender, and well-seasoned. Definitely the star of the plate. 5/5 * Potato Salad: Unfortunately, this side didn't quite hit the mark for me. It wasn't as chilled as I prefer, and the flavor leaned heavily toward sweet relish. If you like your potato salad cold and more balanced, this may not be it. 3/5 * Macaroni & Cheese: The flavor was there, but it could've used a bit more oven time for that perfect baked finish. Still tasty, just a little underbaked for my liking. 4/5 Overall Thoughts: Uncle Tony's has great potential, especially if you're craving some solid barbecue. The ribs alone are worth the visit! As for a return trip? Possibly especially to explore more menu items and give them another shot. Customer service was great the lady that took my order explained how the meats were cook.

First time eating at Uncle Tony's. I got there just before the crowds started coming in for lunch. Pulled pork platter with 2 sides and cornbread was delicious. They make lima beans on Friday and Saturday. Nicely seasoned and very good. The collards were also quoted good. Some places don't do greens well. Not Uncle Tony's. The sauces were delicious. Mac and cheese great and the cornbread was fresh and sweet. Just the way I like.

My family and I are from Arkansas and Uncle Tony's is by far the best food in Orlando, not just BBQ but all food!! The restaurant was very clean, the food came out super fast. The entire staff were great and made us feel like family. I had the Mac Daddy burger and it was the most delicious burger I've had in my life!! The Hoss burger was just as good, I honestly recommend them both if you're here for burgers. The slider trio is very good as well. I will definitely be back whenever I'm in Orlando. Also if you're looking for some good dessert after your meal the banana pudding and chocolate pie is well worth it!!

I can't believe that I am just now discovering Uncle Tony's Backyard BBQ. I did not know that I had been passing this Restaurant on my commute to downtown Orlando. I'm so glad I finally discovered it! I recently came across this Restaurant after watching a reel on instagram. I decided to give it a try. When I walked in, I immediately noticed how clean and neat the restaurant was. The restaurant has a casual and comfortable atmosphere. There are a good number of tables and chairs if you choose to dine in. There are also TVs for your viewing pleasure. The staff were so friendly! I can't remember the staff member's name taking orders at the register but she was so friendly, welcoming, pleasant, and patient. Since it was my first time, I had questions. She kindly listened, made suggestions, and didn't make me feel rushed to order. All the staff that I encountered were friendly and helpful! The weight time after placing my order wasn't long. I chose to get my food to go instead of dine in. As I waited for my food. I browsed around looking at all the different BBQ sauce options, the T-shirts the restaurant had to sell, and at all the pictures and photos on the wall. The food came out hot, which is good especially if you are getting food to go. It was packed well to keep food hot. I order a variety of food since it was my first time. I ordered chopped brisket, pulled chicken, baked beans, collard greens, macaroni and cheese, potato salad, fries, okra, sweet potatoes and corn bread. The food was delicious. All the sides were so good. The baked beans sweet and tasty. The potato sweet and savory. Anytime there's fried okra on the menu, I'm happy and these were done right. The fries had great seasoning on them. The greens were savory, didn't taste like they came out of a can. The brisket was tasty and delicious, just wished I had more BBQ sauce since I got my food to go. I like a lot of BBQ sauce on my meat. Definitely a great variety of food and value. Can't believe that this restaurant was under my nose for so long without me trying it. Now, that I know that this restaurant is so close to me and in route on my commute to downtown Orlando, I will definitely be back.

We were at the Florida Mall and looking for a place to eat and this was one of the top-rated places on Yelp and now I see why. Everything was top tier - let's start from the beginning. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by friendly faces. Uncle Tony's really has that home style mom-and-pop vibe that makes you think "Yeah this food is about to taste GOOD". As first-timers the kind young man up front walked us through their most popular dishes and their specials. Speaking of specials - they were extremely affordable. A meat, bread and 2 sides for $12.99?! Back to the food. One word: Delicious. Perfectly tender. Flavorful. Today has made me a regular customer. If you are having trouble deciding about what to eat, take this as a sign: GO TO UNCLE TONY'S BACKYARD BBQ!!! Thank me later.

    They embody these principles.

First off, note that they have added a vinyl DJ area (so fun!) and now offer table service (perfect for ordering more brunch cocktails!). My favorite brunch dishes I got to try were the brisket-stacked pancakes and the brisket egg & cheese sandwich. The pancakes are made with donut batter and have a hint of citrus. I was offered regular maple syrup or a bourbon version and obviously went with the latter. The brisket was perfection and made this dish the best representation of salty-sweet decadence. I can't imagine ordering anything else for brunch now that I've tried this... And yet, I got to try my friend's brisket egg & cheese sandwich and holy cow the caramelized onions took it to another level. if you're looking for something featuring eggs for breakfast- this is a must. And even better- they made me a great cortado, so don't forget to get a well-made espresso drink while you're there. Previous lunch review: 5 Stars because I am OBSESSED with this family-owned barbeque spot (their food, staff, bar program, etc!)! My sisters had been raving about Smoke & Donuts for a while now because it's super family-friendly and they go with their group of friends (and their kids) often. They talked up the food, of course, but it is the staff that really sells them. It's family-owned and everyone there is an absolute joy whenever I've been. They offer everyone free little donut holes with their orders and they remember you like you're part of the family. I've enjoyed the brisket (WOW) and the pulled chicken- Both are standouts! Something else on the menu that totally surprised me and stayed on my mind was the mac & cheese side. It's so unusual, but I am a big fan! It's got a rich flavor and then an almost sweet aftertaste. Trust me- somehow it works and you'll want more! And for the vegetarians- they have pulled jackfruit available to satisfy their barbeque cravings. Love the inclusivity with that option. In terms of donuts, my fave is The Lou, featuring a maple-bourbon glaze, heath, Hershey's chips, and brisket burnt ends. That salty, sweet combo is unbeatable!

The line to order was pretty long, but we noticed a few open seats at the bar. We asked the bartender if we could order there, and she said yes--pro move. Skip the line, grab a bar seat. Drinks: We tried the house lager, which was solid and refreshing. What We Ordered: * Homemade Queso + Flavor Bomb 3 * "Famous" Pulled Pork Sandwich * "What the Fig?" Sandwich Standout Bite: The queso with Flavor Bomb 3 was incredible. Sweet, savory, and completely addictive. The pineapple in the flavor bomb added the perfect touch of sweetness and made the dish really stand out. Sandwiches: Both sandwiches were excellent. The pork was fresh, tender, and packed with flavor. The classic pulled pork was great, but if you like bold flavors, the "What the Fig?" is the way to go--the fig jam added the perfect sweet-savory balance. Flavor-packed and messy in the best way. Sides: Sandwiches come with your choice of Miss Vickie's chips, house-made slaw, or both for $1 extra. The house-made slaw was a standout for me--fresh, crisp, and the perfect complement to the sandwiches. Overall: Great food, fun atmosphere, and a unique experience from start to finish. We're already planning our next visit--and next time we're bringing our pup since they're dog-friendly and fully embrace it. Pro tip: Head straight to the bar if there's a long line--and don't skip the queso with a flavor bomb.
