Stopped in on a Friday night and they have a pop up menu of ramen & otsumami. I tried the espresso martini and the ribs. The martini was strong in the best way and the pork belly ramen (forgot to snap a photo) was delicious! The ribs were a little salty for my taste but besides that, full of flavor. The bartender was great, checked in to make sure we were enjoying our order and the food came out within a reasonable amount of time. The ambiance is chill with a live DJ who was amazing! Will definitely be returning!

Turkey Bowl.

I've never had something I didn't absolutely love in this restaurant. I am now officially hooked on the turkey bowl. I requested mine with half salad half rice. My friendly server is happy to oblige. The Cuban is also a favorite, as well as the amazing mac & cheese. Service is prompt. Food is fresh and delicious. The restaurant itself has a very funky retro vibe that I absolutely enjoy. The owner, Ian, and staff have really curated a wonderful experience whether you come for lunch, brunch, or dinner. I love them all and delight in bringing new friends to experience this local gem.

I've wanted to try Smoke & Donuts for a while (been trying their food at the OEP Barbecue in the Park for a couple of years). My family and I went there for lunch today. The decor is a good mix of kitsch and nostalgia. As we entered, the owner's mother greeted us, showed us to a table, and gave us a nice overview of the place and the menu. The Price Is Right was playing on the TV (original when Bob Barker had dark hair), and the owner was behind two turntables lining up the next few songs. We ordered the biscuits & gravy with pulled pork, the Prime Brisket Bowl, and the Prime Brisket sandwich. It's the weekend so the had a bit of a brunch flare to the menu. Eggs, grits, and home fries were with most meals. They give you pork rinds while you wait for your food. I got the Prime Brisket Bowl with extra eggs (poached). It was very tasty, but I would prefer it have a little more meat and less home fries. I asked for some tangy BBQ sauce, and they brought out a small (thimble sized) cup. The sauce is good, but I would love to have a bottle on the table. The brisket has very good flavor. I tried the grits, and they were thick and even had a hint of cheese. Quite good. All of the servers and the owner were friendly and attentive. Great service and quick took. They encourage you to ask for donuts when you finish. When you do, they bring a free bowl of cinnamon donut holes. Great experience! Really enjoyed the visit today.

Bacon blast

We visited smoke and donuts on a Friday night fairly late. There were 4 of us and they had us sit wherever we wanted since there weren't that many people. While they weren't serving their full menu, they did have a really cool looking Japanese pop up menu, but we were just there for donuts. They didn't have all the beers on their list, but they still had a good selection and a solid bar. I also got a bacon blast donut which was very solid. I loved the maple bourbon topping and the bacon was great. My one comment is that it was a little too much sweetness for my taste. I felt like there wasn't enough bacon for the whole donut. Either way, I'd definitely go back for the Lou since I love brisket and I'm excited to try more of the food items on their menu when I'm back during the day!

Delicious bbq with amazing meats that were all tender and juicy... add in 4 different bbq sauces and you have an amazing blast of flavors! Beyond that, they had a sink so you can easily wash up afterward and have free donuts too! The donuts were lemon flavored with powdered sugar and so addictive!

Went for a late lunch around 3:30 PM on a Sunday. The condensed parking lot was nearly full, but I was able to secure a spot. Inside wasn't very busy, a few other tables were oppucied, one being a larger party. The live vinyl being played was a bit loud upon entering, but once getting seated it didn't bother me or hinder conversation. This being my first visit, I found the staff to be helpful and very welcoming. I selected the Salty Englishman donut and the Prime Brisket sandwich with a side of the Mac & Cheese. My donut was old fashioned cakey style, which I enjoyed. I saved some to take home. The black pepper bark on my brisket was a bit overpowering for me, but it still tasted good. The mac & cheese has a bit of a sour taste to it, which isn't bad, just unique. A pricey outing for 2 people ($63), so I wouldn't do it often. I've been wanting to try it, though, and it was a nice experience. Looking forward to returning eventually and trying other menu items.

We stumbled upon this place and it was unexpected surprise. Their donuts are sooo good and reasonably priced. We also tried the Donut and Brisket and what an awesome combination. We'd love to come back for Brunch. It's also pretty big so lots of seating area. It has an old record store vibe. Service was great!

Come for the vibes stay for the grub. Smoking donuts is one of my absolute favorite barbecue places in Orlando. The space is an absolute stunner. There's always amazing music playing and the vibes are 10 out of 10. They now offer table service, but you can still order at the register if you're confused by the old ways. The staff is probably the friendliest around and they always help you with questions and your order. They helped me choose some sauces for my meal and it was absolutely incredible Today I got the turkey breast with fries and brussels sprouts which came out to be somewhere around $20. Don't sleep on this place. It's one of my favorites. Dig in!

I feel like this place is slept on. Such an Orlando gem. Dinner/lunch and brunch are all so great. From their smoked old fashion to their incredible brisket, you can't go wrong. The service is always quick and served with a smile. The owners mom (I believe) is typically taking orders and she always makes you feel like you're welcome and at home. It's a cute casual place to grab a meal. Highly recommend, how can you say no to a warm free donut?

Brisket sandwich - 11 out of 10!
Thomas P.

I'm not a sweet person (or a sweets person) so I didn't get the donuts. But they looked awesome. My go to is always a brisket sandwich. Got half lean, half fatty. And it was totally delicious. Super tender meat. Very beefy. Good "bbq" flavor without being overpowering. I had when something is overly smoked. Slaw on top was amazing. And they had homemade sauces. The traditional smoky/sweet BBQ was good, but the star was the mustard sauce. Wow. Overall a great sandwich and can't wait to go back. Somebody online needs to do a blind BBQ taste off to see who's brisket reigns supreme! These guys are totally top contenders.

Phenomenal Sunday and Saturday brunch from 10 AM - 2 PM with unique flavor pairings like brisket pancakes, pork belly Benedict and my favorite - smoke turkey, runny egg and Gouda cheese with so much delicious turkey and some kind of cranberry sauce that tastes like it was just made on a grilled roll. Home fries have chunks of bacon and BBQ sauce - fantastic side and lavender haze adult beverage was refreshing with organic vodka, blueberries and light lavender flavor. You get free donut at the end and it changes type all the time but always made fresh. Who serves a Bloody Mary with a donut? So creative! Love love love this under-rated gem of the Milk District

Brisket slider
Mary W.

This gem is a cozy family run fusion confounds both donut and barbecue traditions. The brisket slider is not a pick up and eat situation, but definitely a fork method. The sweet and savory combination was fantastic and very rich and filling. This is a friendly gathering place to treat your tastebuds to a happy adventure.

This was my first time at this location and I was looking for a BBQ restaurant because I had a craving for ribs. When I got to the location, it was not too many people there and I was greeted. He unfortunately told me that they didn't no longer have ribs, but I can try the brisket which I did and I also had a side of macaroni and cheese and also coleslaw. The brisket was OK. It wasn't much of a fan of it but the macaroni and cheese they hit the ball out of the park. I can go back and eat that macaroni and cheese by itself every day for a month because that's how tasty it was.

That was a sweet win. I also tried their Frisco fries, and they were decent, but I wouldn't rush back just for those. The ambience is really laid-back. It's like any regular barbecue place. I saw at least 3 to 4 tables of people sitting down and enjoying their barbecue and they seem to have a steady stream of traffic. The Vibe: We came on a Saturday and the parking lot was packed, which we took as a great sign--and it was. You walk through a fun outdoor patio before heading inside to order, and the space is incredibly unique--colorful, eclectic, slightly hipster, with dog photos and quirky decor everywhere. The line to order was pretty long, but we noticed a few open seats at the bar. We asked the bartender if we could order there, and she said yes--pro move. Skip the line, grab a bar seat. Drinks: We tried the house lager, which was solid and refreshing. What We Ordered: * Homemade Queso + Flavor Bomb 3 * "Famous" Pulled Pork Sandwich * "What the Fig?" Sandwich Standout Bite: The queso with Flavor Bomb 3 was incredible. Sweet, savory, and completely addictive. The pineapple in the flavor bomb added the perfect touch of sweetness and made the dish really stand out. Sandwiches: Both sandwiches were excellent. The pork was fresh, tender, and packed with flavor. The classic pulled pork was great, but if you like bold flavors, the "What the Fig?" is the way to go--the fig jam added the perfect sweet-savory balance. Flavor-packed and messy in the best way. Sides: Sandwiches come with your choice of Miss Vickie's chips, house-made slaw, or both for $1 extra. The house-made slaw was a standout for me--fresh, crisp, and the perfect complement to the sandwiches. Overall: Great food, fun atmosphere, and a unique experience from start to finish. We're already planning our next visit--and next time we're bringing our pup since they're dog-friendly and fully embrace it. Pro tip: Head straight to the bar if there's a long line--and don't skip the queso with a flavor bomb.
