Unfortunately, everything else was disappointing. The stir-fried squid was extremely chewy and lacked the spicy kick we expected. The bulgogi arrived with a lot of watery liquid pooling at the bottom of the hot plate, which took away from the flavor and presentation. The banchan was also mediocre and nothing memorable. The service was also lacking and no pre bus at all.

We were seated right away and our server was nice. We got the for 2 combo that included Kalbi (our favorite), rib finger and beef bulgogi as well as our choice of stew and we picked the tofu one. It was SO good! It's a fun date night or friends hang out spot! They provide salad and all the smaller bowls you see such as kimchi, etc. We'll definitely be back!

The meat had an odd texture, very pale color, and not a good taste. You can tell it was marinated so im not sure if it was the meat itself or the marinade, but it didn't taste good that the "for 2" option of beef had more than 50% of it left over between four hungry people! I was hoping for better, especially for a 3 time michelin recommended restaurant, but would love to see a better selection of meat! I don't think I'd make my way back though due to their small menu with not many varieties of non soup or stew dishes.

I ordered the $18 Bulgogi hotpot, and it was pure comfort food--the broth had that perfect sweet and savory balance that hits the spot when you want a cozy meal. True to traditional spots in Korea, it came with six different banchan side dishes, and they even offer free, unlimited refills. Apparently, the K-pop group ATEEZ ate here twice when they were in town for their tour. It really feels like one of those "if you know, you know" low-key gems where visiting artists and local professionals go for authentic Korean food. By the way, September is the low season in Orlando--especially with the Magical Dining promotion happening at other local spots. Because of this, Surah has decided to close for lunch from Tuesday through Thursday this month. This means Friday is your only chance in September to catch their amazing, affordable lunch specials. Keep this in mind so you don't show up to a closed restaurant!

I've never had cold noodles with broth before so I ordered the naengmyeon (cold noodles in icy broth). It was quite nice for a new experience. The broth was savory, tangy and slightly tart and sweet. It's perfect for any hot Florida day as there are pieces of frozen broth thawing as you eat. I tried a piece of the frozen broth and it had a shaved ice-like texture to it. Ambience was pretty chill here and the waiters were helpful and kind. Also, portion sizing is a bit on the larger size.

Ended up being a good decision. A definite standout was our server CD. We really enjoyed chatting with him. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and genuinely cared for. We went with the $29.99 option for everyone in our group. The Bulgogi Pork was our favorite meat. Such a tasty marinade! You will definitely leave stuffed. Large space inside. The Banchan bar could use some better labels, but that didn't stop me from loading up my plate. Enjoyed the Japchae and appreciated the nearby scissors which came in handy. The main challenge for this place is it's nearby competitors, Izziban and Korea House. Wish K-BBQ had a more unique name, but regardless they can hold their own. My experience was pleasing from beginning to end.

First, the portion sizes are incredible, which is not always the case at KBBQ spots. I was always impressed about the amounts that came to the table with each order. For apps, I didn't love the gyoza, it was good, but wasn't the best I've ever had. The cheese corn, however, was a hit with our table. If you've never had any, this is an easy recommendation - it's quite tasty and easy to eat. For meat, wow, we loved so many of the options. The one I would skip was the pork belly, it wasn't super flavorful compared to the other options.

BBB Tofu House left me absolutely speechless and wanting to order much more than we did, and we actually ordered a ton of food for only two people. The outside ambiance of this place is very unsuspecting. It's in a poorly lit strip mall in the Pine Hills area of town. Various furniture stores and other Asian restaurants and questionable wellness spas dot the mall, but inside, this place was beautiful. It was like a ruby encrusted coy pond, gently playing K-pop in the background. Very cozy. The service was incredible. These folks were so nice and patient with me as I asked them questions about many menu items, wanting to make sure I ordered the right things. The food came out at a very reasonable pace, too. Everything was hot and fresh and delicious. And the food, it was wow. Absolutely exquisite. Started off with the Bulgogi Mandu (Beef; 5 Pieces). These are a fried Korean dumplings, and the thing about mandu is that they are probably the dumpling with the most filling packed into it. A massive amount of delicious beef filling, a crispy wrapper with a fun little crimping for texture, and a nice, subtle sesame-type sauce. Very good. I also had the Tteok-bokki, my favorite Korean appetizer. It is a chewy, cylinder-shaped rice cakes (tteok) simmered in a spicy, sweet, and savory sauce. And it was delicious. It was also the largest serving I've ever encountered, so it got kind of one-note. I recommend paying the upcharge for the Add Cheese. Then onto the Seafood Pancake. Look at this dang thing in my picture. One of the best things man has ever created. An intricately crispy outer layer of some sort of dough, containing within a cheesy blend of seafoods, all sliced up like a pizza and coming with that same sesame sauce for dipping. This was Super Bowl food, my goodness. I got the Galbi (BBQ Short Ribs), which is another Korean staple. Very mainstream, but for good reason. These short ribs are sliced crosswise, slicing up those muscle fibers, and leaving behind thin layers of delicious, tender beef. Being sliced so thinly also lends itself well to soaking up the marinade very good. So delicious. I finished off with the, here we go, the main event, Dolpan Kimchi Bokkeum Bap (Kimchi Fried Rice) (Kimchi, Beef, Peas, Corn, Carrots and Onion topped with Cheese). They'll ask you if you want the egg. Say yes. This magnificent creature comes to you as a mound of rice in a screaming hot stone bowl, with the cheese kept away from it. Tableside, the man cracks an egg on the whole thing, and then mixes the heck out of all of it, allowing the egg to cook and the cheese to melt. He then spreads it all out against the stone bowl, maximizing touched surface area, creating a crispy cheesy rice crust along the bottom of the bowl, making every bite amazing. You read all that right. And it was one of the best meals of my life not at a Michelin restaurant. I'm actually going to petition this place as a Bib Gourmand. It was that high quality. I'm in love.

Our server, Sylvia, was very kind and told us she would ask the manager if an exception could be made so our friend wouldn't have to go without eating. Shortly afterward, the manager, Kareem, came to our table and simply stared at me without saying a word. I politely asked whether Sylvia had passed along our request, and he responded rudely by saying, "No, this is the policy, and if you don't like it, you can leave. That's life." To be clear, we understand that businesses have policies, and we respect that. What bothered us was not the decision itself but the hostility and lack of professionalism. I was polite throughout the interaction, and had the response been delivered respectfully, we would have gladly stayed. Instead, we decided to leave without eating. I also want to emphasize that Sylvia was extremely kind and professional. Unfortunately, the interaction with the manager left a very negative impression. This location should do a better job of training its staff in customer service and professionalism.
