The dishes were very dry and not edible as the chicken was hard from being over cooked or recooked. There were no utensils or napkins. Hard to eat rice with no fork or chopsticks. The two soba drinks placed in a bag did not have straws. When we picked up the order the person gave us the order to pick up as if it was ready. No mention or inquiry if we needed anything else. I confirmed this when I matched the address between super bowl and super pan. I'm guess is they probably can deliver stone bowls so their serving cooked entries online, smart idea. We came here because we had dropped in last month for boba, and saw that their food looked really good. There were tons of people eating and I love all sorts of hot pot / hot skillets type of food. I like eating my food when its really hot and warm, hence the hot pot and hot skillet. We came pretty early on a weekday and were the first people eating. I ended up getting a hotpot because I didn't feel like eating too much rice, but we also ordered an instant noodle with chicken, and a hot pan with rice, beef, and curry sauce on the side. The hot pot didn't have as much stuff as the hotpots that I usually get like boiling point or tasty pot. I liked the sizzling hot plate alot more, not too salty and really fresh. I wish they had this restaurant at more locations in the bay area! The ingredients include enoki mushrooms, cabbage, tofu, tomato, fried taro, lotus root, broccoli, fish ball, sweet corn, and mushrooms. I liked that the broth was just spicy and tangy enough, great for the kaleidoscope of textures and flavors of the ingredients. The portions were also huge as I could only finish about 2/3rds of the pot, taking the remainder for a meal later in the week. The only criticism on this was the spam and fish ball had an 'off' (read stale) flavor to them. Service wise, staff were in taking our orders and serving our apps. The slowdown occurred about ten minutes in as eight of our eleven diners had their food as the other three continued to wait. About five minutes later, another entree came out and my hot pot was the last about ten minutes later. Some fellow diners already finished their meals by the time I started mine. The kitchen needs to keep an eye on the timing a little better. I would rate my meal as a 3.5 star, more of a bang for my buck in the case of the hot pot. If you dine-in, all their drinks are 50% off. So we all started with perusing the E-Tea menu and picking out our drinks. I opted for #6, Coffee Milk Tea with boba and coffee jelly. We had Karaage fried chicken, Korean fried chicken wings with sweet and sour spicy sauce, Garlic Cheese fries and Fried calamari. The appetizers ranged from $6.99 to $7.99. The appetizer portions were light, except for the Karaage chicken. Overall, they were good, but were not great. For my entrée, I wanted a teppan item, but not a dish that involved a lot of cooking on my part. I ordered a curry tonkatsu with rice with a fried egg. The dish came with the curry sauce on the side. The tonkatsu was crispy and moist and a sunny side egg rested on top a large scoop of rice with some broccoli and corn. It was a very good tasting dish. It is up to you how crispy you want your rice, so I'd recommend immediately mixing it altogether if you're not a fan of burnt rice! All in all, the dish was fun and tasty, albeit on the bland side. Had no idea what to expect but was very pleasantly surprised. I had the lemon honey lemon tea with aloe at 50% sweet which was very tasty. Then I ordered the beef and garlic pasta pan. Seconds later they place a plate with pasta noodles in the center a bed of raw beef on a scalding hot cast iron bowl in front of me with the sauce in a separate dish. So you mix the beef and pasta with garlic butter together and cook the beef while doing so, then when the beef has reached your desired cook level you add the sauce and continue to mix. I stopped by here yesterday evening and tried out the ramen with fried chicken, as well as the cheesy omelette rice with chicken -- served on a sizzling teppanyaki grill plate. If you've been to Pepper Lunch before in Cupertino, you'll be instantly familiar with the options that Super Pan offers. The real difference between the two however, is that you don't need to wait over an hour to get a seat at Super Pan, and the quality of both the food and service (at Super Pan) is much better in my opinion. Super Pan also gets food out of the kitchen very quickly! After placing my order, I got my food in less than 10 minutes. The ramen I ordered certainly wasn't the best ramen I've had in the city, BUT, it's also didn't cost me upwards of $20, a pretty common price point for "fancy" ramen. For $10, it was definitely worth it's value in my opinion. I loved that the noodles are cooked extremely al dente. Some might complain that the noodles are a bit under, but I have no doubt that you can request for them to be a little more soft if that's your preference. The broth is somewhat one-note, and also a little on the salty side, but to be fair, I can't actually remember a time where I've had ramen and I didn't leave wanting a bottle of water. Overall I'd get this dish again despite the few cons I've listed. The real star of the meal though was not the ramen. That honor goes to the sizzling teppanyaki dish. The garlic pepper sauce that I opted for (you get to choose from garlic pepper sauce, curry sauce, tomato sauce, and white creamy sauce) had an intense pepper taste, and went well with everything in the dish. With mostly rice and meat at a higher price, you're not getting much here. Black pepper beef is probably going to be your best option here but be sure to ask for some garlic butter to enhance the flavors. So all you need to do is cook your meat on the sizzling hot plate and then start mixing everything together. Do note that their flavors are limited at best: their black pepper or curry pepper was sparingly sprinkled on the plate. Ask for more as needed. After being introduced to Pepper Lunch down in LA, I was super glad I found a place with the sizzling teppanyaki plate in my hometown to satisfy my cravings. The restaurant is rather small, so I'm assuming at its busiest, finding a table or bringing a large party could be quite difficult. Looking at the menu, I saw a large selection: ranging from items on the teppanyaki plate to classic noodle soups. I decided to order the salmon plate with an egg. I would typically grab chicken, but I noticed that there wasn't a classic chicken plate. When I heard the sizzling plate being brought out to my table, I was salivating. The reminders of the delicious, basically hand-made fried rice was extremely appetizing to me. The side of the black pepper sauce definitely made the plate. The combination of egg, salmon, scallions, sweet corn, rice, and sauce melted in my mouth. Simply divine. Without the sauce, the dish wouldn't be as delicious for sure! Besides the wait time, the food came out extremely fast. If you're starving and in the area, be sure to make a stop at Super Pan. note: at first I didn't realize that the door to Super Pan is connected via the boba shop next door (called Etea). We both liked our food, but some of my garlic noodles got cooked too much and ended up getting hard. My garlic noodles were still good and the beef came with sauce for me to dip or pour onto the pan while it's cooking. I also tried some of my friend's rice and it was good. They gave broccoli as their veggie which was fine but I just think a leafier veggie might've absorbed more flavor. The pork however I did not like. At first when you walk in it's just a boba store. But then you look left and it's a whole other surprise. The boba people don't seat you so just walk past them and you will be seated by the waiters there. I got the beef pepper rice and I quite enjoyed it. There's a lot of rice and meat in that one dish. I thought the beef wasn't going to fully cook in time but like someone else mentioned, it's a magical sizzling plate that knows when to stop cooking so the beef is perfectly soft and done without getting burnt and chewy. The garlic flavor in the rice wasn't that strong but the pepper sauce more than made up for the flavor. I just wish I had some more veggies than a spoonful of corn cause it was all protein and carbs for that meal. Service was quick and attentive. Didn't get to try any of the other stuff though. A fun concept that needs to be franchised to other parts of the Bay Area, Super Pan represents the fun side of where Teppanyaki meets Chinese Hot Skillets. I came as a party of twelve and we made sure to see if they could accommodate us without the wait and they said it was no problem once we arrived. Low and behold on this Tuesday evening, our two tables for twelve were ready to go. What makes Super Pan unique is that they have partnered with a Bubble Tea shop called E Tea and they serve a variety of Boba Teas right alongside the steaming skillets they specialize in. Judging by their menu, they have a wide variety of options of the kinds of foods you can order at Super Pan, this includes Ramen Noodle bowls and deep fried goodies for appetizers. But we were all here for their signature heated skillets, as they serve full on steaks on one skillet, as well as combination options with sections of chicken, beef or salmon served with rice, broccoli and sweet corn. To begin our meal, we decided to order the A14, otherwise known as the Combination Platter, which for $14.99 included Fried Calamari, Karaage Chicken, French Fries and Fried Cheese Wontons. As I considered my options for my entree, there were a lot of various iron plates to chose from and I could not decide. I started to look at what others at other tables had ordered and I saw their option number 15 called Salmon Cream Pasta, a sizzling hot skillet topped with a mound of garlic noodles and raw salmon surrounding it with a bowl of white cream to pour all over it. I was sold once I saw and smelled the rich flavors coming from the other table and I was not disappointed with what I ordered. Others at my table went a similar route, but instead of noodles opted for the white rice in the middle of the skillet option. To accompany my meal, since the E Tea Boba shop was a part of the restaurant, we all went in and each ordered our own drink to wash down our meal. I inquired with our server which Boba Flavors were popular and he suggested the number 21, otherwise known as the Winnie the Pooh, filled with Strawberry Green Tea, Mango Milk and Lychee Jelly. The name comes from the colors of the drink, which is served as half red and half yellow, hence the name Winnie the Pooh. The starter was surprisingly plentiful with extra food for our table to mill over even well after our main courses were served. And talk about a show when your skillet entree is served. They come out of the kitchen steaming hot and are even served with a paper cone around the skillet so you don't burn yourself as you start to mix your meal. For my entree, layers of salmon are served raw on the iron skillet surrounded by mounds of spaghetti pasta with the white cream in a bowl served on the side so you can pour it over your dish in the amount to your liking. Although extremely hot, but surprising rich with flavor, I was glad with what I ordered because overall the dish turned out so unique. One tip I have for diners is that the skillets are served so extremely hot that there is little time for anything to cool down so things cook extremely fast while in that skillet especially proteins, such as my salmon which was served raw on the skillet and then promptly cooked, not to mention welded itself into a well-done charred entree that became extremely hard to separate from the skillet with a fork and knife. My favorite part of the evening probably was ironically the festive Boba drink that I sucked down from E Tea, the Winnie the Pooh served as the perfect respite from the hot weather outside and the hot skillet I was eating on inside. Lychee jelly is the perfect compliment to such a hearty meal and didn't fill me up too much. Super Pan may be considered a hole in the wall to some people, but at least they serve hearty skillet dishes at an affordable price point, with a fun accompaniment by having a Boba shop within its environs. And in San Francisco, you can't beat a place that can accommodate so many people at such a late notice without blinking an eye. I've been wanting to try one of these sizzling teppanyaki spots for a while, so when I was in the Richmond recently for dinner, I immediately suggested heading to Super Pan and my friend agreed. We came on a Sunday evening around 7:30 and it was pretty empty, though it was full with a short waitlist around 8:30 when we left. We almost walked right by the restaurant because the front of the store is an E Tea, and you have to walk through the small E Tea space in order to get to the restaurant. In addition to the sizzling plates which they are known for, they also have a decent appetizer selection, teppan pasta, ramen, and even a mini hot pot dish. I went with their popular #2 beef pepper rice ($10.99) with an extra egg for $1. You can choose which sauce you want from garlic pepper, curry sauce, tomato sauce, and a white creamy sauce. I opted for the garlic pepper and was pleased to note that the sauce is served on the side, so you can pour as much or little into the dish as you would like. My hot plate came out very quickly after ordering and I immediately dumped in some sauce and started mixing everything happily. I don't like to be the person cooking at kbbq or hot pot but there was something satisfying about pouring the sauce in to taste and making sure the beef slices were cooked completely. I ended up overcooking the beef a little bit (whoops!) but it was a fun experience nonetheless. My friend ordered the #7 cheese omelette rice (though without chicken as he is mostly vegetarian) with tomato sauce, and he really enjoyed his dish. We also ordered two appetizers while we were waiting the potato croquette ($2.99) and the garlic fried chicken wings ($6.99). The potato croquette was crunchy and delicious, but neither of us liked the chicken wings at all; they were way too oily and we felt kinda gross eating them. Service was great. It's a small space so it was very easy to flag down one of the server's attention. This was my first time at super Pan. My favorite part about this restaurant is that the plating was over a stone pot. I place high value on my food being able to stay hot throughout my meal. Having a stone pot made the food stay fresh and stayed hot throughout my entire experience. Chicken pasta - I do think the chicken was a bit overcooked with the pasta being slightly dry because of the hot heat from the pan. For this dish to reach its full potential, I think it'd be great if there was more sauce and marinade. Beef pasta - The other dish we ordered was with beef, and I'd say that dish was a solid five. The beef was medium rare upon serving so by the time we ate it, it was cooked very well and had a lot of flavor. The pasta soaked in the beef flavor which made it just perfect! read more

I love teppanyaki! Came here and had to wait 30 minutes to get a table. Super Pan shares the space with a boba place. When I walked in, I thought it was the wrong restaurant. I ordered the steak. It came with corn and broccoli. It was a delicious ribeye with a really good serving of garlic butter on top. You let the steak cook for a bit and then flip it and cook the other side. Eat right away with your veggies and rice while it's still hot. Reminds me of pepper lunch in Hong Kong, but not as tasty. That garlic butter is soooo good though. And you don't have to go far if you want boba after dinner! read more

Curry Tonkatsu was pretty good. Wish it came with a little more sauce. Good size portion for price. Nothing too extraordinary until you mix it all together with the butter and cheese! Friend got the Kimchi and Beef plate. It's her favorite dish, so she had no complaints. We also go the mango sago 10/10 and almond queen. I loved the almond queen's flavor, but my boba was reallly undercooked. read more

This is right up my alley and right in my neighborhood. Who doesn't enjoy piping hot rice/pasta bowls threatening to give you third degree burns or oil splatters when you pour the sauce in. I've ordered take-out/pick-up from here way before realizing that that was dumb and eating in the restaurant is the whole point of the restaurant. I didn't have such a pleasant experience at Pepper Lunch in Milpitas so I thought I'd stray away from dishes like this, but I loved this place! Not sure exactly what the name of the dish is, but what I typically order contains beef, kimchi, corn, rice, and gochujang as the sauce! Reminds me a bit of bibimbap with the way everything's cooked on a sizzling stone plate/pot. Yummmy! It's under the same roof as E-Tea so if you're looking for your boba fix, there you go. Oh, there's also One Tea next door too (wish it was still Sharetea though). The place is pretty small but we've never had issues with waiting too long here! Super attentive service & great recommendations from our server as the Hubbz & I were first timers. Parking was a challenge but we were immediately seated and our appetizers arrived promptly so that made up for the struggle. I'm a sucker for takoyaki. Super Pan's version is my current favorite - light airy batter, not hella dense and cakey like most places. $7.99 for a 6 piece order, topped with savory sauce and a generous sprinkle of fluttering bonito flakes. The karaage ($6.99) is another winner. Popcorn chicken is so much more legit when it's garnished with fried Thai basil. A heaping plate of nuggets arrived slightly dusted in cornstarch (or perhaps potato starch?) and golden fried to perfection. Each juicy bite was heavenly! Ask for a side of Spicy Korean Sauce for dunking. We chose the teppanyaki rice platters as our entrees. I topped my tender Korean Beef Kimchee Rice with a sunny side up egg for a well-worth $1. Hubbz thoroughly enjoyed his Salmon Pepper Rice. Each hearty bite was delicious and uber satisfying. We look forward to returning soon to try their plethora of menu options (i.e. Cheesy omelette rice). meh, not horrible food was bland serivice was slow the sizzling pepper beef needed more flavor and garlic and the hot pot broth was bland - no dipping sauces. everything is already pre cooked so like the flavors aren't gonna be released in to the broth. read more
