Fast forward a few weeks back I took my friend to The Mailing Store next door. I noticed that there was a line outside this restaurant before it opened so that caught our attention. I assume they were having a job hiring thing since people had papers in their hand. My friend was curious and walked over to somebody who was waiting in their car to ask. Strange coincidence, as life sometimes happens, it was someone I knew. The folks I help with their nonprofit charity . We started chatting and they told us the owner Periodically gives out free food to help people in the community. Not scheduled something he does and advertises online every now and again. I'm really not a wing eater but my friend convinced me to go in and get some. I think the first 30 people get freebies. So I went in and got some. They have lots of different unique flavors. You can't really ask on the freebies so I just let them give me what they gave me and took them home. I was presently surprised how much I liked them. Kudos to the owner for helping out people in the community and having food that's tasty to boot. Good job!

For sides, they were $4 for what appeared to be 8oz cups which seemed a little pricey but if homemade it's worth the price point. Both my cousin and I thought the coleslaw was an odd flavor like there was either red apple or radish in there, but we couldn't quite figure it out. A skip for me if I visit this truck again. As for the potato salad, it was fairly decent though it had large pieces of potato skins which I personally do not care for in my potato salad. Since we didn't get any actual food as I stick to a vegetarian diet mostly, I'll give it a 4 star for the sides. Overall, the service was quick and friendly. The atmosphere is what you make of where a food truck is parked. The condiment/utensils available on the ledge do make it easier for grab-and-go.

Lucky I did because today he posted that he would no longer be in Anthem but in Tempe just up the street from me. SCORE! Bf was pumped about trying elote for the first man but asked seriously "What if I don't like it?" Elote is corn, smothered with Mayo, and sprinkled with cheese. What's not to like?! Bf had the Mexican (#1 seller) and me being the hot Cheetos aficionado that I am, ordered hot Cheeto. Bf very quickly became an elote believer!! As Joyce mentioned in her review, I remember the good ol' days elote was $1.75... ah yes those were the days. Elote will run you $6 on the cob or in a cup. There's just something that hits differently eating it on a cob than in a cup... like having a Mexican Coke and a regular coke... clearly elote on the cob and Mexican Coke are the ways to go! Someone mentioned that the price is high, but I've bought food from food trucks similar to this before and this truck was cheaper than where I've been to. They actually have a lot of locations sprinkled throughout the greater phoenix area. my experience is that some locations are a little better than others in terms of customer service and efficiency but generally speaking I like the price and I like the food no matter which location I go to but invariably some are better than others.
