Came here for breakfast today, 08/31/26, with a friend, and I had the chicken fried steak and eggs with coffee. Coffee came right away but was lukewarm and rather weak. The CFS was very small but tender and I could cut it with my fork. I ordered the eggs over easy, but they were verging on being fried, with little liquid yolk. The hash browns were adequate but very little seasoning. The biscuit was a nice size, but the white gravy was bland and tasteless, I also had to ask for water 4 different times before it finally came halfway through the meal(my friend never even got his). Came here on a work trip for lunch and got a burger though since I'm on a fruit and animal based diet I left out lots of toppings. Ordered over phone and picked it up. Service was pretty good in terms of care and getting me the food I desired. The only problem I had was when I looked online the prices on their menu was different than what I was charged. When I addressed the concern I was just told menu prices changed. I did mention online is what I ordered based off of and showed the price and mentioned some people may come in and not be able to afford the difference and planned ahead to eat here. I felt they should have honored the price online. But they didn't. Overall the burger was good and so was the peaches but I wouldn't go back because i felt I didn't know what to expect to pay and I had a budget to stay within. Ambience inside was cool. My hubby ordered a huge Belgian waffle with eggs made exactly to his liking, with home fries and sausage. Coffee was hot and my cup never empty. I had the fish plate with zucchini, cottage cheese, side salad and a dinner roll. They are big portions and everything was hot and cooked to perfection. We'll definitely be back. P.s. Wait, this is such a cute little diner and such a surprising find! I think that, going into these diners, you need to have your expectations at the appropriate level because obviously, it's not going to be a Michelin-star restaurant. But that doesn't mean it's not good! In fact, the service that I received here was on par with all of those 'high-end' establishments. Our waitress was very kind and patient as we ordered and constantly refilled our coffees without our needing to ask. And best of all, you can't beat the prices here! They have a breakfast deal option, which is practically a steal! You can choose your choice of protein, eggs, and then two sides...all for $7.99! I decided on sausage, over easy eggs, hashbrowns, and French toast. Note that the French toast (along with the pancakes) is a $0.99 upgrade. The food tasted exactly as expected, which is great when you have those breakfast cravings. Sometimes, it just hits the spot! They had some fun Halloween decorations up, which was a cute touch. 1.5 stars is the best I can offer. I've been eating there for the last year and a half, and I do not mind the food, in fact, I even brought my mother there from out of state because she wanted liver and onions. The last two times I was in they tried to box my meal for me to go before I was five bites into the meal. I came to Phoenix Arizona to visit some family and friends and we were craving breakfast but it was 2 PM in the afternoon. Every breakfast spot we looked up was closed already until we LUCKILY found country boys restaurants that serves breakfast all day and are open until 8pm. Once we arrived, we quickly noticed it was a Mom and Pops establishment. Which was good on my part because I love Mom and Pop restaurants. I ordered the super omelette which had ham, sausage, cheddar cheese, mushroom onion, and salsa and it came with hash brown and a choice of one side. You could either pick pancakes, French toast, jelly, and toast, fruit grits. They had so many choices to choose from as a side, I decided to replace sausage with bacon and it was absolutely delicious and I also replaced my hash brown with home fries which was really good too. I tried the strawberry French toast, which was absolutely delicious and for lunch. Their cheeseburger and fries were a good go to. The customer service was great and attentive.! It was a really nice and peaceful breakfast spot to go to. I'd highly recommend if you're ever in Phoenix. read more

The breakfast food was OK, I didn't have a BLT, but my wife's burger was...not OK. As soon as I saw that bad boy I recognized the perfectly preformed roundness and the unusual texture that says "cafeteria burger". But I waited for her reaction. A typical diner that serves the expected food at the expected costs. Though not particularly impressive, they are cheerful, friendly, and I never saw the bottom of my coffee cup (constant refills). This location is near GCU, but also in a very problematic area for the city of Phoenix. The customers include people in all walks of life, stages of grace and disgrace, from the very young to the young at heart. There may be a disturbance if a customer gets rowdy (and someone did get kicked out), but I think you can find that anywhere. The restaurant was super clean and cozy. It reminded me of many diners back home without the greasy-spoon feel or stickiness. I was greeted by both waitresses at separate intervals upon my arrival. I looked around for a prime spot to grade some papers and people watch. My waitress, Angela brought me coffee and read me the specials and prices. I decided on the Waffle special which included bacon and eggs. The food. It came out neither too quickly nor did I feel like I was waiting 0 so the timing was perfect. My eggs were neither wet nor greasy unlike some other chain restaurants in the area. They were scrambled and well cooked. My waffle was crispy until it was soggy where the steam was caught between the waffle and plate. This wasn't very good, but cannot be helped. My bacon was perfectly crispy which is how I ordered it and delicious. The food was not served hot, but was a little more than warm. The butter on my waffle was completely melted indicating that it sat awhile. I realized this after seeing other people's waffles in which the butter had not yet melted. The coffee was typical diner coffee, a little weak for my liking but not distasteful and I drank cup after cup. The waitresses were attentive to all the customers and constantly refilling coffee. I can see why some chain restaurants use half-full carafes! They smiled and greeted the customers. Even when forcing a customer out (I'm not sure what the deal was), they did so pleasantly and authoritatively. They were not rushing anyone out and brought the bill at the appropriate time. The cost. It's a fair cost for a diner. Stick with the specials and the 3.99 breakfast special. These are your best bets if you want inexpensive. I don't mind paying a little more for what I really want. Although the surcharge on egg whites was $1.25 which is more than I've encountered anywhere else. That's what I wanted and I was forewarned of this extra cost. When told ahead of time, I accept their policies with a smile. The coffee was $1.99 and I definitely drank my fit. I did not come here because it was inexpensive (thought that's definitely nice). I came here because I wanted a cozy diner, prompt service, good food (doesn't have to be great or best-ever every time) that's close and convenient. The customer service is probably the best thing there, which is great. The food is not so great. I had a grill cheese with fries. The sandwich was very plain not great I added tomatoes. They didn't have avocados, but I doubt that would have made a difference. The French fries were absolutely not good. I didn't think any place could ever have bad fries. The ranch wasn't great either. I also tried their coffee it was decent.
