Spicy Chicken Wonton (5/5): Savory, not too spicy but just right and not deep fried like how I would like it! Perfectly done. Chicken Pan-Fried Dumplings (5/5): Flavorful and crispy, it was a table favorite. Shrimp Siu Mai (4/5): Tastes just like dim sum. Cucumber Salad (4/5): Nice, refreshing cucumbers to help cut through oiler dishes. Shrimp Fried Noodle (3.5/5): It was okay, just was middle of the pack for me. We had a chance to look at the menu and she came back and took our order. The dumplings do take a little bit of time to come out as they are freshly made. But everything else came out pretty quick. The food is decent. But the service isn't great at all. The restaurant is very unclean. I sat at a booth where I was next to a wall that had specks of food on it. It almost looked like someone spit out their food and they didn't clean it. Besides this place being very unclean, the service was terrible. The waiter who's at the front door to seat you is the rudest person I've ever met at any restaurant I've ever been to! And I've never had someone be rude to me. So this was a first. I would say to find someplace else for dumplings cause the service and uncleanliness isn't worth it. I'm giving 3 stars because the food isn't horrible. Tried out this dumpling spot after my friend had seen a post from IG/ TikTok for soup dumplings! We went on a Friday night and there was about a 30 min wait from yelp waitlist and it was available to add on through the app (we did add to the waitlist in person and were 8th in line). Overall it wasn't too bad and we got seated inside fairly quick. I noticed that the restaurant is pretty modern and has a nice vibe, all the staff are so friendly and accommodating. I could tell that they all have excellent communication and Service, which is appreciated for any business! We ordered way too much food ( pan fried chicken dumplings, stir fry beef noodles, green beans, walnut shrimp, chicken and beef soup dumplings, map tofu, & chocolate dumplings for dessert ) . We had a decent dinner here for our first visit and the food is just ok. Other restaurants serve pretty much the same stuff except for the dumplings. We tried 4 items on the menu and nothing special.The food is a bit pricey though and service tonight was very rushed because our server was hyperventilating and kept wanting to walk away from our table as soon as we got a word out. Arrived at 11:45am on a Tuesday. The door was unlocked and slightly open, so I opened it and walked in. Was immediately told that I needed to wait outside because they weren't open until noon. A bit harsh in the delivery of that message. Should maybe not leave the door unlocked? Went with a friend and we ordered several plates to share. Didn't realize that Super Dumplings is Halal. I was very confused at the menu as there were no pork dishes. Then I figured it out. Personally, a dumpling isn't a dumpling unless if it's pork based. But that's just me. With that said, the flavors of our lunch were good. The biggest thing I found lacking was 1) the hot & sour soup was not piping hot when it came out. It was just warm. The soup itself is also not what I would consider to be "hot" for the spice level. It was quite tame. 2) the steamed bread with sweetened condensed milk was very bland. Not a favorite. Definitely would NOT be a repeat item. The restaurant itself is very clean and modern. Plenty of seating. Was not too packed/busy when we were there. It does definitely do a good amount of business for lunch on a Tuesday. Over-all, I think the shrimp siu mai and the soup dumplings were my favorite of everything we ordered. The service was great! Waiters/waitresses were nice and highly attentive (though we did come at a slower hour in the late afternoon). The place was very clean. The food was mediocre. For the pan fried buns, it ended up being more akin to a fried mantou and didn't taste like a typical pan fried bun like I was expecting (but the twist was interesting!) As for the chocolate XLB, the chocolate was yummy but overall they were very doughy. We also got the lunch special (Mongolian beef), and that was probably my favorite given the price as well! The hot and sour soup had a surprising kick that I enjoyed (I don't expect these soups to be spicy most of the time), but I wish it were just a bit more sour too. Came with some friends, and Super Dumpling was a great spot for getting a variety of dishes for our group. It was convenient that we were able to make a reservation for our party of 11, and they were able to accommodate us in the main dining room. They also have an outdoor patio as well. Their menu features a variety of dumplings, noodles, rice, meat, and seafood dishes. Bonus, everything is halal! Since it was our first time there, our server gave us a rundown of the menu and even pointed out some of their more popular dishes to give us a good starting point. We ordered 13 dishes for 11 people, and it was just the right amount of food. They did forget one of the vegetable dishes we ordered, but since we were already towards the end of the meal, we went ahead and cancelled it, since the order never got placed with the kitchen anyways. Our group enjoyed the xiao long bao dumplings, pan fried buns, sauteed string beans, and chicken fried noodles. I have mixed feelings about this place. I'll explain. I was excited to see a dumpling spot 5 minutes away from where I live with such great reviews. I knew I had to give it a try. Glad I tried it out, but not sure if I'm coming back. It was surprisingly busy even though we came here fairly early (around 5 PM). We got seated right away and the servers were all nice. We ordered a bunch of different things, including different versions of the XLB, potstickers, chicken fried rice, spicy wontons, garlic green beans. I think I might be missing some other items, but those were the ones that I remembered getting. Also, sorry I forgot to take pictures. We were all hungry, so we all ate and forgot to take the pictures lol. The XLB were decent. They had a lot of soup inside of it and the soup was nice and rich without it being overly salty. I think I preferred the one with crab meat, but it was interesting that they don't offer a pork and shrimp variant of the XLB considering that's the most original kind. The spicy wontons were pretty good as well. The pan fried dumplings was a little bit of a letdown. It was oddly sweeter than I thought it should've been. The chicken potstickers were fine, but was pretty mild in flavor. I took those potstickers and dumped it in the spicy wonton sauce, which made it much better. The fried rice was a letdown. It wasn't that good. Hard to explain. The green beans were fine, but they weren't that great. I would say that this place tries to aim for a Chinese dumpling experience with some kind of twist to it since none of the dishes seemed to be more of a traditional flavor. It's not bad, but it's also not exactly what I'm looking for if you don't know what traditional Chinese dumplings and potstickers are supposed to taste like, you will probably enjoy this place. My first time here and I ordered the beef mapo tofu and shrimp siu mai with a mango smoothie the beef mapo tofu was delicious(wanted more beef but still really good and the tofu pieces were very well sized) The shrimp sui mai was soft and flavorful. Super solid item (I wish there were more pieces) The mango smoothie surprised me. It was a good level of sweet and not too tart. I can taste the mango and the aftertaste doesn't linger. I dont enjoy sweet things so this exceeded expectations. But the best part of all... when I was out of water, my server Jeremy poured me the most moist, scrumptious, thirst-quenching, life-bringing, delicious, pristine, ethereal, harmonic, celestial mountain spring of liquid velvet purity--straight out of melting glaciers--water I ever had the pleasure of consuming with my taste buds. Super dumpling was on my radar to come to when visiting California because we don't have any halal dumplings where I live. I was really looking forward to it and, thankfully, they lived up to the hype. The pan beef fried buns were great, as were was everything else that we bought ordered. The wontons and dumplings were amazing. We got both pan fried and steamed to try both of them and they were both great. Thankfully, we were able to find seating fairly quickly for our family of five, but they were really busy and definitely get packed quickly. I'm not sure if you can call ahead, but it's worth a shot. We drove an hour with family and friends, arriving at 8:00 PM, an entire hour before the stated 9:00 PM closing time, only to be told we could not be seated. Had Super Dumplings the other night and this place is amazing. I've always struggled with Chinese food because it can be overly greasy, but this spot is exactly what I've been looking for. They have a wide selection of dumplings and soup dumplings, plus noodles and rice dishes as well. The orange chicken is honestly a banger! Most places are stingy with the chicken and it feels like you're just eating fried dough, but here you're actually biting into generous chunks of chicken with every bite. The pan-fried soup dumplings are really good and unique, but my favorite dish by far has to be the pan-fried beef dumplings. I'll definitely be coming back. read more

I've been to their Culver City location before and wanted to compare, this was totally worth the trek. This location's smaller since it's tucked into a strip mall but they've got a cute outdoor patio that is super inviting. Our waiter, Simon, was a total gem because he was attentive, friendly and genuinely fun to talk to. After a long drive, he was the burst of good energy we needed. He walked us through the menu, gave great recommendations, and even told us the dumplings were STILL being made fresh at 8 p.m. FYI, the menu here isn't the same as the Culver one, so you'll find a few surprises. I had the task of finding a place for dinner before attending a concert at the Musco Center at Chapman University in Orange. With the help of Yelp reviewers, 2 other places were rejected due to concerns with chef hygiene and safety of location. We were extremely happy we came upon this 3rd option. We could see from outside the dumplings being made through the window into the cooking area. There was no wait to be seated at a little after 5 PM on a Friday. Young lady in our party of 4 commented upon being seated in the patio area how bright the restaurant was in terms of lighting leaving one with an impression of cleanness. The chairs were very comfortable with cushioning for backs and bottoms. We ordered a lot of food for 4 women: Cucumber Salad, Steamed Bread, 2 orders of Chicken Xiao Long Baos, Shrimp Siumai, Pan-fried Beef Bun, Sautéed String Bean with Garlic, Chicken Fried Rice, and Spicy Chicken Wonton. 2 of the young ladies also ordered drinks: Lychee Soda and Hot Honey Citron Tea. Food came out quickly. The servers helped find space on the table for each arriving dish. The size of the cucumber salad is bigger than at other restaurants. It was very tasty with sesame oil flavoring. The steamed bread reminded me of the bread without filling that is served with a Peking duck. One young lady in our party couldn't stop at one. We weren't careful enough getting our chicken xiao long baos from the steamer and the soup would leak from the dumplings. The skin was not thick. We don't normally eat beef, but the Pan-fried Beef Bun is done well here. Everything was delicious. The table next to us could not get enough of the dumplings and were adding to their order as they completed their already ordered dishes. They also wanted dumplings to take home. We were served by Simon. Simon helped bring us boxes for our leftovers which my husband got to enjoy for his dinner once we got the food to him. The noodles were good. BUT the beef in it wasn't. It felt fake or something we didn't even eat it just the actual noodles and veggies. I don't recommend the radish salad because it was sooo salty. I was seated and was surprised they only had beef and chicken dumplings. Then I realized that most thr people sitting around me was Muslim. They were good and not spicy at all! - Pan Fried Beef Buns: These were the last thing to arrive to our table and they were HOT (temperature). The bottom part is friend and the top is soft. It's best to break open the top with a fork or chopstick to let it cool. The soup was a little sweet and the beef inside was almost like bulgogi. Pretty good. - Mongolian Beef: A plate of beef, onion, green onion, and chili pepper. It went well with the white rice that we had ordered. The beef was tender and had a good flavor. Service was good. The server was very friendly and checked in on us every so often. Parking isn't a problem. The lot is fairly large. This place is definitely on par with Din Tai Fung. Super Dumpling is a must go-to if you're looking for a Halal Asian Dine-In or Takeout place within the area. This place is so popular, and I can really see why. The exterior of this place seems small and has a cute font sign, with a window to see what the chefs are cooking and TVs to show what they make. Inside is a soothing aroma of all the delicious Chinese foods you could imagine. From Xiao Long Bao, to multiple delicious meals for the entire family to enjoy. When me and my family are craving something cultural, we stop by this place for takeout, or if it's a nice day and the restaurant isn't loaded, dine in is available! The service isn't too bad for a business this great, and the staff here are hardworking and really nice too! However, I do wish they could restock or carry honey boba more often. It's quite disappointing they only have it on Saturdays or very few days if you can order it as an add-on for your drink. The food, overall, is steaming hot with delicious juiciness inside and flavorful. If you're new to trying Xiao Long Bao, they have a poster with steps on how to eat it correctly or ways to do it.
