Choosing a dog walking person/company is never easy. The prospect of handing over your animal, let alone your keys, is certainly a daunting one. However, that's where Super Dog excelled right off the bat. Actually, I was lucky, because it was a random stop to inquire with one of the walkers (Justin) that gave me the instant sense that I found the people to help me with scheduled walks for my pup. Now, over a year later, my attitude hasn't changed. With Super Dog, you can expect people that care about your dog, and care about your satisfaction. Besides the fact that my pup loves those that have taken care of her, communication is key, and after every walk you will receive a note telling you who the dog was with, what "business" they took care of, and if need be, any other issues that were encountered or need addressing. Or, the note just might offer that it was a great walk on a sunny day! Additionally, Dana, Justin, and Patrick (those that have taken care of my pup) are more than happy to leave the pup in as good a condition to head back to the couch as when they took her out (meaning -- as thorough a towel dry as need be...wiping of paws, etc.). In fact, when I had previously forgotten to put towels out on a wet day, it was no problem to direct Justin to where they were so that the pup, and the house were left in good condition. Client satisfaction, without skipping a beat. My experience with scheduling has been nothing short of easy, and they will do their best to be as close as possible to a regular time within a 2 hour window (which, as we know, sometimes minutes matter). I've been getting away with roommates and close friends to take care of my now 1 year-old large breed mutt for short trips away, to be honest I've rarely left her for more than one night. So when I couldn't find anyone to stay with the big monster in my un-airconditioned apartment over a holiday weekend, I called Dana & Matt as referred by the dog sitter of a friend who was already booked for the weekend. They put my worries at ease right away! Any-who- Dana & Matt are great! My big mutt Stella stayed in their apartment with their sweet dog an another boarder, they don't take more than a few boarders at a time since the apartment is open for the dogs to roam. She got lots of walks and treats and play time with the other dogs. We came by for a visit a few days before I would drop her off and she warmed up to the place quickly. They even fed her the schedule of raw patties and kibble I have her on. They are very, VERY, reasonably priced, and only charge per night without pickup or drop off times, so I dropped her off before heading into work so I could be on my way after work, and picked her up in the evening after returning without having to wait until the morning, or pay any extra. We contacted Matt and Dana around the new year in a bit of a bind looking for a new dog walker. Our Italian Greyhound is a nervous and timid girl, which makes strangers coming in the house to take her for a walk a bit of a challenge. From the beginning, Super Dog Walking has been exactly that! Dana and Matt came over for a long consultation. They learned everything they could about our girl and we made a plan for getting her used to them. They are always incredibly patient, attentive, and flexible. I knew we had the right match when I saw how gentle Dana was on the first day and Stella relaxed on her lap enjoying the petting. I am so happy I found Dana & Justin to walk our new pup Charlie. We got him at PAWS on a Sunday and needed someone to walk him starting Wednesday for a couple weeks until my husband was done with school for the summer. Dana called me back within an hour of my email and said she'd be happy to accommodate! I haven't met Justin, but I know he walked Charlie with a couple other dogs and always left a note for us to come home to. As a new pet owner, it put me at ease going to work and knowing he'd be there to give my pup a nice long walk while I'm away. I have the most crazy walking schedule and it never seems to be a problem. Anyways,Back way I am finally writing a review. I read the negative review about the owner of Super Dog Walking being "inflexible" and I felt obligated to write this review. Not only are Matt and Dana super sweet people, I have found them to be extremely flexible. In fact, I've actually been locked out of my apartment on more than one occasion and Matt drove over with our spare key to let me in. Additionally, I can't tell you how many times myself or my wife had to cancel our walk last minute and never once was it an issue. Most importantly though, the walker who walks our dog (Justin) is extremely trustworthy and reliable. Matt, Dana and Justin are genuine people who love dogs. I would recommend this company to anyone and am shocked that there is one bad review on Yelp. The last thing I want to say is that, after doing some extensive research, you will be hard pressed to find a more affordable dog walking service. read more

Matt and Dana have been walking and dogsitting our boston terrier Danny for two years now. At first, I was nervous to invite a complete stranger into my home, but upon meeting Matt the first time, I knew I could trust him completely. Super Dog Walking is the best dog walking service! I actually found them via Yelp, and after looking at several other sites and reviews, I knew I wanted to call them first. Matt and Dana came by that evening, met my english bulldog, Alfred (pictured with Dana right now!!!), and I felt completely comfortable handing over my house keys and letting them walk my boy. You can tell they love dogs, and they were very patient with Alfred, who was/is (not so much after hanging out with Dana) a jumper, and hyper/aggressive around other dogs. Alfred even ripped Dana's winter jacket the evening they met, and it was no big deal to her, she was very sweet about it. Over the two years Super Dog Walking has been walking Alfred (5 days a week), they have left a note every day, not just with what he did, but how he was acting, if he didn't seem himself, who he met along the way, etc. And, on days when Alfred didn't feel like walking after doing his business, Dana would play with him in the backyard, or have some TLC/cuddle time on the couch with my sweetie. She even wiped his ears when she noticed they were looking a little dirty! And, she got Alfred to walk with another dog, upon my request, since I wanted him to start socializing more - it worked out great! Super Dog Walking communicates really well about vacation time (they take hardly any), if another dog walker is filling in that day, and billing. Their fees are very reasonable, much more affordable than other dog walking services I've seen. So, between the love and exercise I know my dog gets when I'm not home, the genuine caring for dogs their walkers have, and the value of their service, I would highly recommend Super Dog Walking to anyone with any dog! read more

Love, love, love, love, love these amazing people! I am new to Chicago and I have to travel a lot for work- oh, and my travel plans change just like the weather. Dana aims to be flexible- A+ on this. I text her sometimes daily to add/ decline a walk. Justin is Mara's "walkies" boyfriend and he's so wonderful to her and to me. She had a bout of being ill and he was so helpful with the situation. My fur baby is also high energy and she likes to box. She's fabulous with other pups when she's with Justin and she's wayyyy better on a leash these days after having her afternoon walks with a better pack leader than I. If she was obnoxious, they would accommodate walking her on her own. They're here to help and you can trust that they're professional and will communicate with you always. Mara has more friends in Chicago than I do. My boxer, Mara, is my soul mate and the people involved with her health, happiness, and care are so important and I couldn't trust a better team with this emotional responsibility than Dana's. We've relied on Dana for daily walks, overnights, and a weekend stay at our place (thanks Mike) and I know Mara's always having a good time with her other family members. Dana and Matt have been walking my dog, Tyler, for almost a year now. They have never missed a day. Ty has special needs, one of which he cannot see! They have to carry him up and down the stairs and guide him on his walks and seem to do it without any issues. They leave notes and let me know how he did for the day. Dana and her team are great! I have been using Super Dog walking for walks, daycare, and boarding for 2 years with no issue. My dog is quite shy and reserved but absolutely loves her walker Hayden along with both Dana and Wade, whom oversee daycare and boarding. The prices are the best I was able to find for a 30 minute walk. Also love that daycare never has more than 7-8 dogs, and its at Dana's house so they have access to a yard as well, which both I and my pup prefer over other daycares with 20 dogs running wild in a large open room indoors. Finally, even though I am moving outside of their service area for walks, they are still willing to pick my dog up for daycare still which is great! read more

Matt and Dana have been walking our 14 week old puppy, Melvin, since the week we brought him home. They take such wonderful care of him --- you can see how happy he is to see them when they show up! This is the worst dog walking experience I have ever had. The owner, Matt, is completely inflexible, unprofessional and rude. He broke our lock and did not offer to pay for it and did not take responsibility. When I tried to contact him he was unresponsive. We loved our actual dogwalker but the owner is the most difficult person I have dealt with since moving to Chicago. I did not get the first week free. Do not use this company. I was referred to Dana and the team about 6 years ago. From the beginning, they have been amazing. They have grown quite a bit over the years, and you would think that service may suffer. Nope! They have gotten even better! As with any dog, mine has had some funny situations over the years. She has only had 2-3 different walkers over the years, and each has taken such great care of her. They have taken her on extra long walks just because they had the time. They have taken care of her when she has been unexpectedly sick. They have helped me with last second changes of schedule. I have been using super dog walking since I got my dog Lucy 2.5 years ago. They have been great but it finally occurred to me after yet another fabulous experience last night, that I should write a review. We were travelling over the weekend and our flight was delayed. We were supposed to be back to get her by 700PM but after delays we weren't going to arrive until 10PM. Dana was great and simply dropped our dog off for us at home. Lucy loves staying there and they make it so easy. No kennel would allow for this amount of flexibility! Lucy loves the walks and they have been so flexible with adding a last minute evening walk if something comes up for work etc. We had a lot of random obligations last summer (planning a wedding) and they helped us out on several occasions with weekend or evening walks.
