Fit Dog is the absolute best! I was first introduced to them 5 years ago. I've sent two of my dogs here and have only had overwhelmingly positive experiences. The facility is clean and safe. The employees are all wonderful, trustworthy, kind and provide exceptional care for all the dogs. The transport services have been a saving grace for me given my work hours. You will not regret becoming part of the Fit Dog Family! read more

I would give the Fit Dog Family 10 stars if I could. The best experience ever, Emily and Saul along with their fantastic staff continues to awe me at how they go above and beyond and truly care for your pups and dogs. They have the whole high energy thing nailed with the grounds your dog will socialize on. I have a pup with BIG energy and they've been able to tire him out and he is so happy to see the staff and loves when Martin would pick him up he would race to the door. He even tried to hop in a post truck once because he thought it was him. They are caring, kind and the best me and my pup have ever experienced. Cannot say enough good things about our them all! read more

FitDog took wonderful care of our good boy, Robot while we were away at work. The care he received there was top notch and the people who work there are beyond friendly. We only left because we moved to the burbs and are now struggling to find a place like FitDog to take care of our big guy. Robot was always happy to run in to "school" as my 4 year old called it and when we picked him up he was always exhausted from playing (in a good way!). If you are looking for a place for your pup to run around and play with other good boys and girls - this is the spot. Also, the people who work there are so kind and it was sad to leave them as well. They always had a huge smile on their faces and even made bonds with us humans during pick up and drop off. read more

We have a miniature schnauzer who has a lot of personality. Despite his big bark, he prefers his family and toys to strangers. We were nervous to send him to daycare but were hopeful it would bring his social side out. Three years later & we were right! Fit Dog has been like a family to us in a state where we don't have any. Our dog never once resisted going in and is always taken care of and looked after by everyone there. He has come to accept pets and being held by staff. I've never had to worry when he is at Fit Dog. I could go on and on but if you have any doubts, don't worry this is definitely the place to try!!! Everyone here is so amazing, and your dog will be well loved and looked after! read more

Let me first preface this review by saying that I'm super picky about anything involving my beloved puppy, Watson. I think that in general, pet owners are some of the toughest crowds to please, and I am certainly no exception to that. Fit Dog is amazing. The gold standard in doggy daycare. There are three things I care about, and Fit Dog completely delivers on all three: 1) Safety. My goldendoodle loves to wrestle and play with other puppies, but not every dog loves his high energy. Regardless of that, he's never come home with any injuries, scratches, bite marks, etc. Nor has he ever picked up a stomach bug or parasite, meaning they keep a clean shop. 2) Reliable transportation. Gallo, one of the drivers and staff members, picked up and dropped off within a 5-minute window every single day, like clockwork. 3) Maximum fun for my pup. I love seeing the social media posts of him having a great time. After a day at fit dog, he is always tired and happy. On hot summer days, he came back a little damp (which I was more than okay with, because it meant they were ensuring the dogs were staying cool in the heat). I can't recommend Saul and Emily enough. I am super sad that Fit Dog no longer services the area that we live in (South Loop) but hope that will change someday! read more

There is a reason that I am writing the 100th 5 star review for FitDog. Saul, Emily and the entire FitDog Staff are nothing short of fantastic. My dog Bumi joined the FitDog pack shortly I adopted him. He had a bit of separation anxiety in the beginning but Saul and the entire staff worked to build his trust and comfort there as well as kept me informed of all of the things they were doing as well as what I could do at home to help support Bumi in his transition, which gave me such comfort that they were really invested in my dog. Bumi loves FitDog, whenever you mention the words FitDog he leaps in excitement and runs to his leash area to go. When we arrive, his tail wagging is in full force and he greets the staff with as much enthusiasm as he greets me when I come home and the staff always take a few minutes to welcome him for the day (or stay when boarding). It is such a peace of mind to know I have people who love and care for my dog as if he were their own. Bumi and I are truly grateful to be a part of this wonderful pack! read more

I had to leave a review- fit dog literally kept my puppy alive. They noticed at day care she wasn't being herself, she had a seizure and then had anaphylaxis. Within minutes of it happening the owner of Fit Dogs got a hold of me. Until we could get her to the vet the staff sat with her and sent many updates. The ER vet said had it not been for how quickly we got her care, the consequences could have been deadly. Besides being incredibly diligent, my dog has the very best time. She absolutely love going to daycare (whines in the car when she knows she is getting close) and comes home so happy. The owners were so willing to work with my schedule and make it so my pup could attend with my work hours. Couldn't recommend fit dog enough. read more

My dog Romeo has been doing to Fit Dog over 2 years now. Tomorrow is his last day because we're moving to Beverly. I'm so sad for Romeo as he LOVES going to Fit Dog on Mondays & Fridays. Jon picks him up & drops him off, lovingly refers to him as "Rome Dome" and seems just as excited to see him today as he did when he first started transporting Romeo. Emily & Saul & the rest of the Fit Dog staff are amazing, they really do treat the pups as if they're their own. Emily is incredibly responsive via email when I've asked to make changes in Romeo's schedule. Honestly, I cannot say enough good things about this family owned business. I recommend them to any dog owner I come across. I WISH I was able to continue sending Romeo there, but will definitely use them for boarding in the future as needed. 5 starts isn't enough! TOP NOTCH! read more

Ya know when you can just feel the sincerity of a place? Or when you can sense that a human is just an all-around good, sincere human? Well, let me tell you that the owners and staff at Fit Dog are just that type. I have been on the lookout for a wholesome and caring dog daycare for my Australian Shepherd, Mila, for quite some time. I wanted a place that was worth every penny that I would be putting down on her care. I am employed at a school - Hence I don't have a lot of wiggle room in the financial department! For folks like me, it's a big and thoughtful decision to pay for this kind of care for their dog, but I can wholeheartedly say that Fit Dog has exceeded my expectations and it's worth the investment. Fit Dog is a family run business and you can feel that in the way it is run. Saul, the owner, came to my home for a meet and greet where he personally met Mila and I to ensure that it would be a good fit for everyone. He was warm and authentic and we had a great conversation. When I took Mila to her first day, they make you and your dog feel welcome and like you are joining their big family! They post pictures on Instagram of the dogs playing and they celebrate your dog's bday (dog moms LOVE THIS KIND OF THING HAHA). And what put the cherry on top for me was running into Emily, the other owner, today while I was picking Mila up. She addressed me by name and a warm smile and she had not even met me yet. She just knew I was Mila's human. I could go on, but seriously, if you're looking for a warm, caring and hard-working group of individuals to care for your dog, you will not be disappointed with Fit Dog. Thanks Emily, Saul and the rest of the amazing team at Fit Dog for all you do! read more

Fit Dog was nothing but amazing for our pug Frankie. The staff was amazing and Emily/Saul were always extremely responsive via email to changes in schedules or questions . The pickup service was convenient and professional. They were also quick to fill me in on any issues, including an incident with another dog that was overly aggressive with Frankie (whom they removed from daycare as a result). I also loved how they were so active in positing photos on Instagram so we can get a glimpse of our pup while he was in daycare. Frankie always seemed to have a blast and was tired for days afterwards. We would recommend anyone to use Fit Dog!! We loved it for us and for Frankie. read more

If I said my pup is part of my family, my mother would correct me, saying that I treat him more like a non-human child. He's my ONLY non-human child, therefore it's important to me that my playful pup gets socialized and exercised. Our first "Doggy Daycare" was late to pick him up and early to drop him off - thinking this came with the territory of a daycare with pick up - I let it go on for a while but ultimately was concerned that my dog wasn't getting enough "run time" Fit Dog has proven over months that they play my dog to the point where he comes home tired and I have a bit of peace (until his second wind), to finish up some work. Do not hesitate to send your dog here, Emily and Saul are AMAZING with all logistics and nail the pieces that fur-parents really care about. read more

Saul, Emily, and the whole team at Fit Dog are like family and have been a real blessing for us and our lab mix, Tater Tot. Tater is a wonderfully behaved dog - in very large part due to having great experiences in the Fit Dog pack - he loves it! We also love it for the peace of mind while he's at Fit Dog and for the peace at home after most of his doggie energy is spent at the end of the day! :-) read more

We have only been going to FitDog for a few months now. But I absolutely love them! They are so attentive and our dog loves his day care days! They are so accommodating and are always so nice. The manager, owners, and the staff are great! If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would! read more

We couldn't say enough positive things about FitDog! We started sending our puppy there 4 years ago - and she absolutely loves it to this day! We have a Weimaraner who needs activity (lots of it!) and she always comes back completely exhausted from a fun day with "friends"! It's so heartwarming to see how excited she gets when she hears Jaime (our routes's driver) coming up the stairs to get her! She'll even go nuts when she sees a FitDog van driving in the neighborhood - clearly enjoys it thoroughly! As for the company, they are wonderful! Saul and Emily ('Em') are very reliable and always responsive when we have questions or rescheduling needs as life happens! Their program is SO convenient for working and busy families too - never have to worry about anything as they always get her on time and according to her schedule! They are even thoughtful when they drop her to make sure she's in the right spot at home and will accommodate requests for drop off. Not to mention climbing up our 2 stories of stairs! :) I should also add that they truly care about the dogs too - and have a ton of fun with them celebrating birthdays, getting baby pools out, and just getting them activity all day! We love FitDog!!!! read more

Fit Dog Chicago - Happiest dog because of FitDog (and rather slim I'd say!!!) - Pet Boarding Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

We found out about Fit Dog from a woman at the dog park and after seeing extremely positive reviews, we sent our puppy there as soon as he was old enough. He's been going for about a year and a half and we could not be more grateful that we found Fit Dog. All of the Fit Dog staff genuinely care about our dog and he is so happy when they come pick him up. Special shout out to Noe, who is his best human friend. Additionally, we love seeing the pictures they post on Instagram every day. Saul and Emily, the owners, are two of the best people we have ever met. When we first started sending our dog there, they welcomed us to the Fit Dog family and that truly is what it is. They have been there every time we've had something unexpected come up and most notably, did an emergency pick up for us on a Saturday night. I was out of town and my girlfriend suddenly got extremely sick and was immobile. It took one quick call and Saul and Emily came and picked up our dog to board him for the rest of the day and night until I got back into town the following afternoon. They even brought her medicine and Gatorade. We knew that sending our dog there was a given, but they have proven to be great friends to us and we could not be more happy and grateful to have met them. Saul, Emily, and all of Fit Dog are incredible. read more

We've used FitDog for almost 2 years and love sending our pup there! He waits for the van to pick him up every T/Th and runs to the door. Even with both of us working from home, it it's well worth sending him to daycare to give him activity when he'd otherwise be on the couch bored. Highly recommend! read more

The team is amazing! Highly recommend. My dog Poppy gets so excited to see Jon and the Fit Dog van to pick her up. It's the highlight of her week! read more

There's only way to describe FitDog: Simply the best! I'm not sure I can quite articulate how amazing the staff as well as the owners, Saul and Emily, are. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (and some other days too) for the past year plus, our fur baby Shadow, a Siberian Husky, patiently waited by the door to get picked up ready to spend seven amazing hours with his furriends before coming home exhausted, but incredibly happy. The team at FitDog were always responsive about any issues with Shadow and were great with last minute requests, whether it was an unexpected work meeting or the need to board him over the weekend. I specifically remember when my grandmother passed away suddenly and FitDog was able to take Shadow for the weekend while we traveled back to Iowa to attend the funeral. They were lifesavers then and so many other times while Shadow was a member of the FitDog family. Obviously, if you couldn't tell, Shadow is an incredibly important part of my fiancee and I's life so knowing that he was safe, secure and overjoyed every day we couldn't be with him was easily worth more than the daily daycare fee. I can honestly say that FitDog is the best doggy daycare in Chicago and I can't recommend them enough! read more

Long time Yelp lurker, first time reviewer. I created a Yelp account to write my first review for FitDog for a very good reason. For the past 3 years, FitDog has taken the absolute best care of my puppy, Pedey. From the owners, who are incredibly responsive, flexible and accommodating, to every single driver and other employee I've encountered, the service is top notch. They've treated Pedey like he's their own. If I weren't moving, I would absolutely keep Pedey with the FitDog family. And I recommend anyone looking for a dog daycare to look no further! read more

Fit Dog took my pup in with the most welcome arms! I felt comfortable from the moment Saul spent time on the phone to reinsure me of the care they give our babies. Dropping Molly off was a breeze, and staff was so welcoming, as they answered any questions before I left her for the day. I love how open the facility is and the dogs can go in or outside to enjoy the weather at their own leisure. If they prefer to stay inside they can as well. The pictures and videos on Instagram during the day, truly show what a great group of dogs they have in the pack! On only our 3rd day back they knew who we were and how much fun Molly has playing with her furry friends, and human friends too! So thankful we found Fit Dog! read more

I can't say enough good things about Fit Dog! Emily was referred to me by a close friend when she found out I adopted a 3 yr old Chihuahua over Thanksgiving. I was pretty nervous at first about doggie daycare because my dog is so small (6 lbs) being around other big dogs all day, but Pixie LOVESSSS it! She knows exactly whats going on that afternoon when I lay out her coat for Ms. Emily to pick her up, ha melts my heart! They are so good on keeping me up to speed on how she did for the day and I love how they treat Pixie as if she was their own dog. I would highly recommend Fit Dog's services to anyone who works long hours and wants the lil pup to have some play mates during the day. read more

My little terrier, Einstein, has been going to Fit Dog for a few months now and I cannot say enough good things about this company. First off, they offer pick up and drop off which is a game changer for those of us who don't drive in the city and need to be to work early. Secondly, I get to see photos of my pup having the BEST time on IG all day. And lastly, the love and care they have for these animals comes through in all of the interactions I've had with them. I have been nothing but a satisfied customer from the moment that I called. Einstein was a rescue, had more energy than either of us knew what to do with, and some behavioral issues were starting to surface as a result. He is a good boy, but just very clearly needed an outlet for socialization and exercise, so daycare seemed like the obvious solution. We tried a couple other places but all were pricey or super inconvenient. I had all but written the idea off when I discovered Fit Dog. Saul and Emily were helpful, friendly, and welcomed him to the Fit Dog Fam! I happily report that since he started going to a couple days a week, he has been more trainable and FAR better behaved (not too mention... TIRED). We both look forward to his daycare days! I cannot thank them enough. If you are in the market for a dog daycare, look no further. It doesn't get better. read more

Carolina and Fit Dog Chicago are as good as it gets. My two dogs Bubba and Ernie always come home happy and sleepy. I've tried a few daycare services- Pooch Chicago and Stay and when it comes to friendly, affordable service Fit Dog can't be beat. I've worked in the veterinary field for a long time and have seen some of the bad things that can happen at daycare and boarding facilities. Needless to say I feel confident that my boys are in caring, knowledgeable hands. Carolina is always happy to give me an update and is flexible should our schedule change. You rock Fit Dog!! read more

I've been using these guys for almost 6 months now and the outstanding service has only gotten better. They're busier so I have a new person picking Cooper up every morning but my little guy is just as happy and just as tired when he gets home, which makes this girl elated. I still communicate with my buddy Fernando regularly so if something comes up such as I stay home or if I don't need a pick up that day he responds immediately to my texts. He lets me know if Cooper is a bad boy and we even once had to schedule a 'parent teacher conference' of sorts because Cooper was actin a fool. Love these guys! read more

Pippa has been going to FitDog for the last year and absolutely LOVES it. We chose FitDog as Pippa's favorite game is 'chase' and the large outdoor spaces allow her to play until her heart is content. The staff are all so nice and loving with the dogs, and we enjoy seeing pictures and videos of our (and other) pups on the daily instagram feed. Highly recommend! read more

It's only been two weeks and I'm already in love with the folks at Fit Dog Chicago. IN LOVE, I tell you! Every person that I've interacted with has a genuine love for dogs and cares for them as if they're part of the family. Every morning Peanut waits patiently for her friend Nina to pick her up and take her to Fit Dog Chicago where she can play with her new doggie friends. When I come home after work she is happy and playful instead of anxious and hyper active, like she used to be. Her separation anxiety seems to be getting better and she doesn't have any accidents in the house anymore, which was getting to be a huge problem. Saul, the owner, is very prompt in getting back to me with any questions that I might have. He wants people to feel as comfortable and happy as their dogs and is willing to communicate with his customers as much as they need him to. He even sent me a little video of Peanut playing with the other dogs today to show that she was having a great day. It was THE CUTEST!!! Being a single puppy mommy is hard work. It's definitely the hardest thing that I've had to do (so far) and I needed help. Fit Dog Chicago has saved my sanity and I am able to enjoy my little buddy so much more now. read more

Saul and Fit Dog Chicago are the best!! My dog just loves going there to workout and play. I was lucky to find them through referral from a friend after adopting my dog. You cannot beat the pick-up and drop-off service. Plus they are really flexible. My dog, Spartan, literally waits for the dog bus (and his best pal Saul) to pick him up every morning (even on the days he doesn't go.. he's always hoping :) Saul will be coming. He goes 3 times a week for some Fit Dog fun... He comes home happy, ready for a nap and some cuddle time. I want to tell everyone about this great place. It truly is a gem and has made a huge difference in my dog's life. If you are looking for a quality dog daycare with people who truly care about your dog... check this place out! You will not be disappointed and your dog will thank you for it! Fit Dog is terrific!! read more

We've been sending our dog Chief to FitDog for 2 years and it is the BEST decision we ever made. Emily and Saul are the most incredible, hands-on owners and the entire team at FitDog is excellently trained and so compassionate. Chief's spent several weekends at FitDog for boarding and we don't feel any guilt because we know he's able to run around with his friends and when he comes home, he's happy and exhausted! That's a rare thing to be able to say when you leave your dog somewhere. Chief has become so well socialized with all kinds of dogs and people in a very safe environment and even after two years, he watches out the window every morning to wait for the van to pulls up. Don't hesitate to check-out FitDog, your dog will be in great hands. read more

I can't say enough good things about Fit Dog! They have taken such good care of our two dogs, who absolutely love going there. I cannot say enough great things about Fit Dog. Saul has truly gone out of his way to help my dog, Ginger with her fears, specifically of meeting new people in my home, and car rides. Ginger now furiously wags her tail when she sees Saul, and car rides don't seem so scary when she gets to ride with her other fun dog friends. As far as the daycare itself, Ginger loves every minute of it! And she always comes home happy and tired. Everyone at Fit Dog is passionate about what they do, and you can tell that all the dogs love being there. I fully trust everyone at Fit Dog with my pup! read more

Fit Dog is the absolute best dog daycare in Chicago. By a stroke of luck we found Fit Dog after having a bad experience with another dog daycare in the ukranian village neighborhood. The second we met Saul and Em we knew it would be a great place for our dog. They were VERY caring and attentive straight off the bat and I knew that the people they hired would be as well. Sophie absolutely loved seeing her friend Jon who picked her up every day and had a great time every time she went. Unfortunately we're moving otherwise we'd be sending Sophie to Fig Dog forever! read more

Fernando and Fit Dog Chicago are the best doggie daycare around. We were lucky to find them by referral and refer all our friends and family to them. Fernando picks up Joey- our two-year doberman- directly from our house and drops her off as well. If you are looking for a no-brainer, no-work-invovled daycare that will make your pooch happily exhausted, this is it. Most daycares throughout Chicago just lock up the little pups all day long and you have to pay extra to have them play... its kinda sad. OR they are in super small play spaces that are really probably only appropriate for toy breeds. At Fit Dog, they PLAY ALL DAY in a large warehouse-y space, have pools and sprinklers and other toys for them to play with in their indoor and outdoor, and the price is RIGHT, I'm tellin' ya! If you want a happy dog (happy owner) and a happy wallet, call them, they are the best! read more

What could I possibly say that everyone else already hasn't raved about? Fernando is the BEST! When we first called Fit Dog, he came to our house to meet us, and our 4 month old puppy Haru. He was so nice, and it gave Haru a chance to get to know him. Since then he picks Haru up 3 days a week and she runs faster to him yelping with joy than she does to her food every time he opens the door. She LOVES him. He sends us photos and videos of her during the day. When we go out of town, we only trust Fernando to take her. We know she loves it there, and he takes such good care of her. He is super responsive, and understanding whenever something comes up. He's such a nice guy, and I can't believe we were lucky enough to find Fit Dog right when Haru was a puppy so she could grow up with them. All of this mega good service at a price you seriously can't beat anywhere else in this city. You MUST call them up! read more

I've been using Fit Dog for over a year now and they have been fantastic! My pup Ellie loves daycare and comes back tired and happy every time. She goes three times per week and it is really a live saver for me. I have also used their boarding option as well. I've used other boarding facilities in the past, but Fit Dog is far and away the best. She comes back tired, happy, and doesn't smell at all. With other boarding services she has always come back smelling like wet dog or pee or something, but with Fit Dog she is just as sparkly clean as the day I left her. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a great and affordable daycare :) read more

Ok... so this is the inital review that I have for these guys... They are awesome so far! Today is our puppy, Jax's, first day at doggie day care so there will be an update to come. I originally talked to Saul and he was wonderful about explaining everything to me... who watches them/picks them up, where their facility is, what goes on during the day, what their rates are, etc. Saul was also great about listening to my concerns and what I was looking for in a doggie day care program. Fernando would be the one picking up our puppy so I talked with him eventually to set up an appointment date. So if there was any client that would be testing the patience and flexibility of these guys it was me (sorry guys)! I had originally made an appointment to do a meet and greet with Fernando Sunday morning but due to an emergency on my end on Sunday, we had to rearrange my plans. We called Fernando and he told me that he had a family affair that he had to attend in the afternoon. We thought for sure that we would not be able to send Jax off to day care since we couldn't do the meet and greet but Fernando offered to come by later on that night on a SUNDAY so that I could send Jax off on Monday! He went completely out of his way so that we did not have to re-arrange our schedule and try to find a dog walker for Monday. I got an update text today that my little boy is having a great time playing with the pack! =) So far... service has been absolutely wonderful and I will post another update after a week. Thanks Fit Dog for being so flexible and wonderful for our first experience with a doggie day care! =) read more

I was fortunate enough to send my greyhound, Bach, to Fit Dog for almost four years. Emily, Saul, and the entire Fit Dog pack are amazing. They took such great care of Bach and he LOVED going to camp. He would wait by the door every morning, eager to go to camp, and would return home exhausted -- running immediately to his dog bed for a snooze. Saul and Emily also watched Bach overnight when we went out of town -- we trusted them immensely with our baby. Unfortunately, we recently relocated to Michigan and no longer send Bach to camp; however, whenever we drive back to Chicago, we drop Bach off to see his Fit Dog family. I highly recommend Fit Dog. Saul and Emily, as well as the entire staff, are amazing!! read more

I can't say enough good things!! My dog is happy to see them when he get picked up and tired when he gets home. I can tell he's been playing all day. As the 5 star rating suggests, "Woohoo! As good as it gets!". I started using Fit Dog 18 months ago for my puppy Roscoe. Their service literally could not get any better. Here are the reasons I say this: Professional: When I first contacted Fit Dog about using their service, they came out to meet me and my dog, to make sure his temperament was a good fit. It makes me feel comfortable knowing they perform this screening. Convenience: Every morning they pick Roscoe up and drop him off. During that time, he gets 3-4 hours of puppy play. I don't have to do a thing. Treatment: I can only imagine how much fun he has, but on a few occasions I have been home when he is picked up, and he gets extremely excited when he hears them come to the door. Cost: The cost is not much more than a dog walker. A dog walker provides a 30 minute walk, compared to 4 hours of play with other dogs. Exhaustion: Roscoe has a lot of energy, but when he comes home he is completely exhausted. Makes for a relaxing evening at home after a long day. Everyone who meets Roscoe says what a sweet little guy he is, and he is very good with other dogs. I believe all his socialization at Fit Dog significantly contributed to his demeanor. How happy am I with their service? When I moved into my current apartment I did my best to stay within the boundaries of their service. Yes, it's that good. I could go on and on, but I am just going to say the same things all other reviewers already said... I am relocating out of state soon, but only hope I can find a service like Fit Dog in my new home. I cannot recommend their service enough. read more
