We're so grateful to have found Jerry! He watched our two dogs for a week right after our move to Chicago, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The dogs came back calmer, happier, and clearly well cared for. We weren't worried for a second while we were away -- Jerry was incredibly kind, reliable, and accommodating of all their little quirks and routines. Truly gave us peace of mind during a hectic time, and we're so thankful to have someone we trust with our pups. Highly recommend! Attached Nala getting hugs and Simba being a cutie!! read more

If you're looking for a wonderful dog sitter, Jerry from Boy Meets Dog is fantastic. I had an upcoming trip and reached out to Jerry via his website. He was responsive from the beginning and cared to ask many questions about my dog, Ziggy, in order to get to know him. I left Ziggy with Jerry for almost 3 weeks and I had peace of mind that Ziggy was being cared for in the best way. In fact, I think Ziggy was a bit sad to be picked up after his time with Jerry. Would highly recommend Jerry's services and will use him again in the future. read more

We can't say enough good things about Jerry! He's been so awesome with our 1.5 year old lab mix Ruby and we feel lucky to have found him. I am very particular about who we leave her with and I always know she's in the best hands with him. It's been a great alternative to traditional boarding because Ruby isn't confined to a crate/room and gets ton of love and attention. He's super communicative and flexible with scheduling plus Ruby gets SO excited to see him when we drop her off. He's been very attentive to any specific needs (special diet, medication) and always sends check-ins while we're away. Would highly highly recommend Boy Meets Dog anyone!! read more

Jerry from Boy Meets Dog is our dog Gideon's absolute favorite person in the entire world! Jerry has always demonstrated professionalism, responsibility and compassion! He truly cares about each dog he takes care of. At 90 lbs, our dog can be a handful to walk in the city setting, but that has never been a problem for Jerry. He is capable of walking even big German Shepherds like Gideon. Jerry even made special homemade presents for Gideon during the Holiday season! I highly recommend Jerry from Boy Meets Dog, he is a gem in Chicago for taking care of dogs! He will absolutely become your dog's new best friend! read more

Jerry has watched our dog a few times already and can say that he provides a very dependable and responsible service at Boy Meets Dog. Jerry took the time to initially meet our dog and to understand his unique needs and routines. Very communicative and will provide updates and photos so you can enjoy your time away. Our dog was excited and remembered Jerry when we returned for his repeat stay. We will be reaching out to Jerry again in the near future! read more

We've been using Boy Meets Dog's walking services for over a year. Cloud Cloud absolutely loves Jerry and is always excited to see him. Jerry also offers boarding services and we often leave Cloud with him over the weekends since she doesn't love dog daycare boarding facilities. It was important to us that Cloud be comfortable with any sitter we used and we knew Jerry was a great fit when she immediately cuddled up with him in the initial meet and greet. The service has always been reliable and Jerry is both communicative and responsive by text. Pricing is very reasonable, but they usually require multiple walks per week. That said, it's easy to pause for vacations if necessary. If you're looking for a professional service that can be fully trusted with your pup, this is the one! read more

Love Jerry! Recently moved across the country, and had to book a last-minute trip home (typically I drive and my dogs come with me). I found Boy Meets Dog on Google and instantly loved what I saw. I filled an application but with it being last minute, I didn't get my hopes up. The next day Jerry reached out and everything was great from that moment. My boys, Luca and Tate, had a great time. They are not fans of men, since they haven't been living with one but instantly opened up to Jerry and even shared a kiss (which isn't usual). Jerry sent me photos while I was traveling and was extremely responsive. Will forever recommend Jerry's service and plan to use Boy Meets Dog as long as I reside in Chicago. read more

Jerry has been amazing. We were in a pinch to find someone to help with our dog and Jerry seriously came to the rescue. He walks Ferris twice a day and is reliable, friendly, and flexible. He is great with our dog - who can be a bit old and grumpy - and keeps me updated on anything I should be aware of regarding how Ferris is doing. I highly recommend Boy Meets Dog! read more

There are not enough stars on Yelp to reflect how we feel about Boy Meets Dog. . . we recently changed dog walkers from one of the larger walking companies as we were not thrilled with what we felt was a consistently different walker each time. . . this was especially challenging as one of our dogs is a puppy. The communication with Jerry has been over-the-top amazing and puts our minds at ease when we are at work. Extremely reliable, great communication, and you can tell he really enjoys spending time with our fur-babies! I would give Boy Meets Dog 20 stars on Yelp if I could! read more

BMD was a perfect option for our dog when we go on trips! We had Andy for in-house dog sitting which was the best for Wally (our dog). Wally got to stay in the environment he was most comfortable and stay close to all his friends in the neighborhood. Andy gave us daily photos and updates and Wally loved her. Working with Jerry and Andy to schedule was a breeze and we will definitely be using BMD for any future trips! read more

Excellent service!!! Jerry is great. I needed to find a new company to walk my dogs and I am so pleased with Boy Meets Dog. Jerry is quick to respond to our request and flexible with our scheduling needs. I've worked with Jerry for over 6 years and through two dogs. He's amazingly reliable and a joy to work with. My dog is obsessed with him and although it stings that she likes him better than she likes me, I always feel very comfortable leaving her with him. I cant recommend him enough. read more

jerry is very dependable, trustworthy and loving. He is patient with even high energy pets and loves to play.

We've been clients of Jerry's for years now. He's always taken great care of our Basenji pup. He's prompt, reliable and responsible. He has been able to disarm and arm our home security system when entering and leaving. He's also kept our home neat which is an accomplishment during Chicago winters. We trust Jerry implicitly and I would encourage you to engage his services. A small business owner is just more invested in your furry companion's happiness and wellbeing. read more

If I were asked to describe Jessica and her approach to her business, it would be in terms like these: Jessica is the textbook definition of the word, professional. My job requires that I be on a plane at least two days each week. Jessica takes care of my labrador while I'm away. Not only has she met my level of expectation for care, she has truthfully exceeded it. Jessica is prompt, thorough, compassionate, and dedicated. She gives me peace of mind while I'm away. I wouldn't trade Jessica and her services for a FREE dog service. She's absolutely worth every penny I invest in her. I recommend her services wholeheartedly. Tom M. read more

Jessica and her team at GMD is phenomenal. She has provided both dog walking and pet sitting services for my maltipoo Lola, and I swear on the days Lola sees her friends at GMD she is happier and has more energy! Jessica makes the process so easy by being flexible, available via email & text, and accepting Chase quickpay for payment. She also really cares for not just the pups but for their owners as well. When Lola was under the weather, she checked in on her a few times during the day and even checked up with me later on. I am going to miss her when I move out of Lakeview in August. If you are looking for a truly caring, compassionate service, this is the one! Thank you Jessica & team for being the best! read more

We've been working with Jerry for a few years, both with our older dog and now with our new puppy. I contracted with them to walk my dog. I set up a meeting with the owner, gave her my schedule and everything seemed to be on the up and up. TWO DAYS into it, she quit, leaving me high and dry without a walker. No explanation other than a rude note saying she "didn't think it would work out". Perhaps my apartment at the time was not fashionable enough? Perhaps my small dog was too much of a burden or maybe she simply didn't feel like going up a three story walk up? Either way. this snobby, flaky person offered ZERO flexibility and even less in terms of manners. If you enjoy feeling like YOU'RE doing her a favor by employing her, then by all means, go right ahead. Otherwise, there are many many other dogwalkers in Lakeview that will actually treat you like a client as opposed to a disposable source of quick cash. read more

I couldn't rave about Jess more! My dog Oscar (picture no. 10) is so excited evertime he sees her. Not only is she prompt, professional and competent, she exudes warmth and love that obviously the animals feel. I have used Jessica's services both on a daily basis and whenever I go out of town. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Jessica!! She is the greatest and loves our dog just as much as her own two. Even better, she has GREATLY help our dog learn how to behave. I had the same dog walker for 5 years, so when I moved to Lakeview, I was a little anxious about finding someone my dogs and I loved. The first day I met Jessica, I knew my pups were in excellent hands. She is so compassionate and such a professional. Jessica and Scott have provided top-knotch service in daily walks and overnights. They also went above and beyond during special circumstances such as taking care of a foster cat when I had to travel at the last minute. My pups are my kids and I take their care very seriously. I was fortunate to have found Jessica and her team. GMD is truly the best! read more

Boy Meets Dog is simply the best. Our dog Hudson worships Jerry and runs to him with total "bromance" excitement to greet his every arrival. Jessica has walked Homer for 8-1/2 years. He loved her at first sight and he is still overjoyed to see her. If Homer has any physical issues, Jessica always lets us know. She is very observant and has a way of making dogs behave without any physical correction. I wish I had the skill she has with dogs. I know she is very selective when choosing her walkers and they will always take the dogs for proper exercise. . Now that I am home more , I can walk Homer myself but we have Jessica come once a week just so he can see her. I should be jealous of the adoring look he gives her but it's nice to know there is someone close that can take care of him to my standard. read more

Jessica's dogwalking business, GirlMeetsDogChicago, is a best of breed personalized service that beats all the others in her category. Jessica applies her high sense of ethics and strong love for animals to ensure that her dogs are given the highest level of care at all times. Any animal she contracts to walk or sit will have the longest walks, the best guidance, the most people / dog interactions and the most attention of any animal away from their owners - and I'd guess Jessica would give most owners a run for their money. My first choice for dog sitter or walker will always be Jessica - and so should yours. read more

I can not say enough great things about Jessica! She is so flexible. I can email or call her the day of, and she will be where I need her to be- once to pick up my dog from the groomers when I was in a pinch, another time when traffic was so bad I needed her to go to my house to let the pups out. I most recently had her watch them for a long weekend, and she sent me pictures of them cuddling on the couch with her, and gave me up to date messages about how good they were being, and where they took walks to. It was such a relief to know my pups are in the best hands when they are with Jessica! I could not ask for a better dog walker- she treats them as if they were her own! I will never take them to a dog hotel again! :) read more
