Unfortunately, just two weeks later, a noticeable black blob appeared on the new screen near the Dynamic Island. This looks like OLED screen bleed or a defect. The phone has remained in a case with a screen protector the entire time and has not been dropped, bumped, or otherwise mishandled. Given the timing (only 2 weeks after installation) and the specific location of the spot, this issue is almost certainly the result of either a defective replacement screen or a problem during installation (such as trapped dust, adhesive, or pressure damage). It is not consistent with normal use or accidental damage. I offered to bring the phone in so they could inspect it in person, but they declined and immediately dismissed the warranty claim without examination. While I understand repairs aren't perfect, I'm disappointed they are unwilling to stand behind their work and honor the warranty on what is clearly a post-repair defect. I went from a satisfied customer who would have returned and recommended them to someone who can no longer do so. Potential customers should be aware that warranty support may not be reliable here. EDIT: Contrary to the response below the phone was never physically inspected. Rather, the response was based on a set of photos sent showing the issue which, alone, would be virtually impossible to come to a conclusion of physical damage versus defective product. As a customer, you are in a no win situation here as no matter what happens they are going to blame you and not the manufacturer or installation for the problem.

However, he did not take responsibility for the issue and instead tried to explain it in a way that suggested it wasn't related to the repair. Apple quoted over $350 and required me to go to a local store, schedule an appointment, and wait for the repair. I could not interface with anyone at Apple, but had to click through multiple links. Meanwhile, I called New Era, and they messaged me back immediately, saying they would look into my request. They offered me a time that worked for MY schedule (within their working hours) and quoted $100 less than Apple. In addition, they offer pickup and drop-off! The owner messaged me himself and came to pick up my phone so I could keep my work-from-home meeting. Within an hour, I was at the store picking up my phone.
