Went for pedicures with a friend, service itself was ok...but watch the prices! We got the $30 pedi on the recommendation of our tech thinking it included callous removal - at the end I was surprised to be charged $40 and $45 respectively, adding on for the callous removal we were told was included then extra for French and flowers - each $5. I walked out feeling nickel and dimed! Ended up paying $90 for 2 so/so pedis, and I have been just about everywhere in the area and haven't had that problem before! 40 + 45 + 10 tip = disappointed : ( Like I said pedi was ok, but def clarify with someone who understands what you are asking on the prices!! read more

Finally came to Wendy's place after hearing about the place from my step-mom who has been coming here for quite some time. The pedicure and manicure were excellent. Do Not go here! Not clean, customer service was ok, the owner of the shop did my nails and she did a horrible job!!! She didn't fix my chipped nails, the shape of the nails were all crooked and the paint job, I could have done a better job with my eyes closed! I felt like I just threw my money away :( read more

I have enjoyed the best service at Sunshine Nails for close to a year now. Hai does a stellar job on my gel nails manicure. This manicure lasts 3-4 weeks. It is so nice, with my busy schedule (and for the pocket book) to have a gel manicure that endures! I also enjoy regular pedicures at Sunshine. The salon has a relaxing atmosphere and most of all, it is a clean facility! You simply can't beat the prices for a mani or pedi here. The staff is friendly and welcoming. I am called by name each time I visit; they are all so personable. I have enjoyed mani-pedis for decades now (at many different salons), but "hands down" Sunshine Nails is TOPS in my rating. I love this shop. I call for an appointment and I when I get there They start on me. Hai is the Toe doctor. She is great with ingrown toe nails. This is the only place I have tried where the shellac will stay on my nails. The rest I have tried it only lasts a week. At sunshine nails it lasts til they take it off. read more

My first visit here was last May, at the end of a long day getting ready for a trip back east for a college reunion. I came in very close to quitting time, and while they were finishing up two customers, they were willing to accommodate me. I also appreciated that they did not judge me by my bedraggled appearance and woeful cuticles. They give you a choice of four levels of service, displayed on a placard near each chair, which vary by length of leg/foot massage and scrubs/cream. Pedi price starts at $20, or lower on special, and moves up by the 10s. I've tried the first three levels, and all are a deal to me, especially given that their pedicures last many, many weeks. The shop is small, and very clean. The ladies are quiet, but more than willing to listen to chatty customers (which I am not) and they encourage you to relax into the massage chair (not easy if you're ticklish like me). I'm not a frequent customer, but despite that, they always recognize me and are friendly. I've taken a look at the gel pink and whites they've done on other customers in the shop, and they look great. I highly recommend Sunshine Nails! read more

Got my nails done here over the summer before we went on vacation. I wanted to get the gel color that everyone is all about right now. They were $20 and I wated to save a few dollars before my vacation. Apparently I should have just gone somewhere else. I walked in about 30 minutes before they closed and asked if they had time for the gel color. She said yes ( although I think she was annoyed). She shaped my nails and I chose a color and after 2 coats it looked ok, super light but I thought maybe it was just the shade I had chosen. We left the next day and on day 3 of our vacation I noticed there was a chip in the color. By the time we got back the tips of my 3-4 of my nails had chips in the color. I went in the next day to see if they could fix them. She filed down the nail that was showing and said that "I must have done something" I told her I walked on the beach and walked around Disneyland. She said maybe the sand did it. The sand that I didn't shove my nails in. I now know to just suck it up and pay a few dollars more for a better product. read more

went in a2 weeks ago to have my eyebrows and upper lip waxed. Before I knew it Wendy put wax on my bottom lip ripped off quickly and proceed to wax my chin without even asking me. Then she tried to charge me for the bottom lip and chin which I didn't ask for or approve!! I was extremely upset. I don't have a hairy lip or chin. At first I had a blister on my chin. I called and she told me to put lotion on it. Now it has turn red and inflamed and I am extremely upset. I has been 21/2 weeks and shows no sign of going away. The first time I went (time before this) she did a good job but this time was an awful experience. I may have to go t o a dermatologist to see what I can do . read more
